All the food was dry it feels like it just came from microwave. Chilli Jjangmyeon was not spicy at all, noodles wasnt chewy and sauce was less and dry. For Tangsuyuk, meat was dry and hard.

Been to London many times and visited this restaurant for the first time to try Malaysian food. Sharing an honest review based on what I tried: 1. Nasi lemak – Sambal was too spicy but the chicken curry is very authentic. 2. Ice bandung with cincau – As a bandung lover, I found this one a little disappointing; the taste wasn’t quite there. 3. Hainanese chicken rice – The garlic chilli paste was not very tasty, with too much garlic. This could be improved. 4. Beef rendang – Slightly too sweet 5. Char kuey teow & skewers chicken satay – The highlights of the meal, full of “wok hei”, and just like what you’d get from food stalls in Malaysia. Very delicious! Overall, the experience was good. The environment is pleasant with two floors and plenty of space. Even during weekends, waiting time wasn’t long, and the staff were friendly.

Finally got around to posting the review of Restaurant Gorden Ramsey his three Michelin starred signature restaurant in London which was a very special treat for my 50th.  To set the scene we opted for the 7 course taster menu called the prestige and matching wine accompaniment.  The good stuff Firstly the food was outstanding. The flavours the chef managed to pack into the crystal clear consume was amazing. Layers of flavours coming in waves telling the story of what ingredients were used in its creation. Truly the finest consume I have ever tasted.  There were a couple of other things that neither of us thought went together in our opinion but food and taste is very personal and the rest was fantastic.   The lows: The cheese trolley was a real disappointment to be honest. It was stacked full of various cheeses from local to French and the waitress responsible for this gave her suggestions on what we should try. Firstly I should say that the portions of cheese were tiny and neither of us liked two of the cheeses but we weren't offered any replacements despite these two being the cheeses that she suggested.  The biggest let down was the service. We were one of the first tables to arrive, three tables arrived together, to start with they were so attentive you felt like you couldn't have a conversation as they were on top of you all of the time. It got so bad at one point,  I picked up a pallet cleaners off the plate and just before I could put it back down a waitress tried to take the plate away!  The last service disappointment was as the evening went on the service got slower and slower which is to be expected and not a problem at all. But we paid a lot of money for the accompanying wine matched to the food for each course. The wine servings were so small that we ran out 3 times between courses!  We were only offered a top up to make up for the delay in service on the final desert wine as we had finished this before the long awaited desert arrived, but we went short for the main and fish dishes having to finish these course with only water.  All in all a great experience and fantastic food but at this level there are too many others we want to try so we wouldn't rush back.

Not sure if it was an off day considering other good reviews but was really disappointed. First time I've been and wanted to eat near Union Chapel before a gig. Waited 45 mins for our meal after asking twice where it was. When it came (with no apology) the pork souvlaki was almost inedible. Meat was gristly and chewy and in a dry pitta. The moussaka was even dry. Left most of the meal which never happens as I'm proper greedy. Best thing were the olives and an ice cold beer but can't really go wrong with those. Won't be returning considering all the great med/Turkish options on Upper St.

place is beautiful, so don't be surprised, it takes way too long and the food is cold, just not good food. It wasn't Turkish food, better said something that was put together along the way!

A very popular place. Had done my homework on trip advisor and it looked good. We were not disappointed. A very friendly welcome and the food was excellent. Good starters, especially the calves liver. Main course.. Lamb casserole very tasty and lots of it! Enjoyed the Turkish red and went on for a second bottle!! Recommend

Food was okay, not a lot of flavor. Most remarkable was our waiter left mid meal, without notice, and then we did not hear from another waiter for approximately 25 minutes. They also charge a cover charge for each person at table - described as just an added costs recently required by the new owner.

Went with 3 friends and when we walked in no one was there to greet us which was fine because the restaurant seemed busy. 4 older men walked in after us and as the lady came to greet us they started complaining very rudely how they were waiting there for ages (not true) and were absolutely horrible to this lady. Everyone inside the restaurant was shocked at how these men were talking to her and even some of them apologized that she had to be treated like that. After all, the manager (i assume) came to us and i asked for a table for 4 and she, very rudely said "You will have to wait, but you need to wait outside because I cant have you here in the middle of the way". He went outside to wait and watched as the men that came after us were allowed to wait inside and after a few minutes they were directed to a table. We went inside to tell them that we were there first and none of us had a reservation (we heard these men say). This lady, an older lady with short hair said to us "well you were outside so i sat them first". She kept arguing with us, zero professionalism. When I was explaining to her the whole situation she said "Do you want to keep talking or do you want to sit down?". She was completely horrible to us, the only reason i sat down was because it was my friends birthday trip otherwise i would've turned around and left. When she sat us down she was saying somethings in Italian under her breathe. Everyone around us that was also waiting for a table was baffled at her lack of professionalism and how she couldn't handle a situation she completely lost control of. She let those men inside after they were horrible to her staff, sent us outside to wait and let them stay because she knew she couldn't tell them/speak to them how she spoke to me and my friends. The whole situation was disgusting. Food was mid also so I am never coming back or recommend this place to anyone.
