A very big warning against the Da Vinci Hotel, which will be quite difficult to find as their quite dirty old front is somewhat hidden in the quite dirty street they're located in, and doesn’t reflect their prices. In general, the hotel is nothing like on the website - while looking like a fancy boutique hotel on the official pictures, the lobby is quite shabby and there’s a strong odour of the quite distinct rat- and cockroach repellent which is being used in old buildings in New York. As the hotel has a restaurant in the basement and is old and unmaintained, the pests come up to the rooms and there was a quite large cockroach in my room. My room was their most expensive category and the TV, which I had paid a lot of money to be able to relax in front of, did not work. The hotel staff and management were quite arrogant about it, just said the maintenance person was “out of town” all day and evening - and maybe the next day too. A Wednesday in Times Square? Booking.com did what they could to get my money back from the management but didn’t succeed and instead gave me a voucher. There’s in particular one receptionist who's quite nasty, will speak your first name in a condescending way etc. Both receptionists were shockingly dishonest. Also, please note that unless you buy the most expensive category, which is often more expensive than the last-minute deals at the nearby Hilton and Marriott hotels, your room will face back walls and noisy restaurant fans, not a very charming situation. This review will go back on top of Google a couple of times a month to warn other travellers as I know how much most people look forward to their sometimes once-in-a-lifetime New York trip. Furthermore, many people don’t like to leave negative feedback or forget to leave it and just stay away. Do yourself a favour and choose any other hotel in the area. Da Vinci Hotel clearly does not deserve to be in business and probably won't be for very much longer. Give yourself a better New York experience than described in the above - You deserve it.
$300 cleaning fee that was absolutely not transparent at the time of booking. You might as well book an AirBnB, at least those ridiculous fees are more upfront than whatever this “hotel” is doing. If you’re going to charge an exorbitant cleaning fee that shouldn’t be something that is snuck into the price summary that you’re only made aware of when you’re checking in.
10 star hotel looved it great price
17 John is one of the absolute BEST places to book a short stay, or even a week. The rooms and other amenities are just beautiful, and the price and location are right. As a frequent traveler in and out of New York City, this is now my 'go to' place for a stay in NYC.
1 Hotel Central Park is a very sweet boutique hotel. The rooms are exceptionally tiny but after a few nights, I came to really appreciate how cozy my room was and it felt like a little nook of peace in a city of chaos. The window seat in the room was especially awesome - I wish I could have spent more time just sitting and reading. The beds are very firm and comfy and the ceiling shower was awesome. Everything felt very condensed because of the small size of the room, so every square inch of space was used to the fullest. I was in the room on my own but if I had to share it with someone else, I'm not sure how we would have navigated the space. My biggest issue with this hotel is that it kind of feels like an old hotel with small rooms that someone dressed up in nice sustainability clothing. I liked the sustainability clothing, but not for the price they charge- it is a really expensive hotel for what you actually get. In the area, I've stayed in other 4 star hotels with larger rooms (but no sustainability ethos) for half the price. I would definitely stay at the 1 Hotel again if it were less expensive.
2 bedroom compact suite with a view We booked one of the 2 bedroom suites whilst spending 3 days in nyc after a work trip, we booked this as it was definitely less expensive than 2 rooms in any other hotel! Yes the rooms are small, it’s New York! But it was spotless, a queen bed each, defo wouldn’t be suitable for more than one in each bedroom of the suite and the bathroom is in one of the rooms! But we loved it and the staff especially Nadine were great :) It’s 2-3 blocks to 79th street subway, which gets you everywhere! Would totally recommend and stay again!
2* Hotel With 4* Price Tag We chose the Corona because it was close to the airport, had free parking and free Wi-Fi and was one of the less over-priced hotels in the area. For a short stay it was okay. If I had to describe it in one word I'd probably call it seedy. Reception gave the impression that they were bored with their job and the breakfast area did not invite you to linger. However, our room was clean enough and fairly large as well. The train noise was pretty grating, but the closeness of a subway can be quite convenient. I didn't mind the surrounding area, colourful rather than seedy and much more down to earth than Manhattan, and food was laughably cheap. It helps if you speak a bit of Spanish. Queens Museum of Art was not too far away. I don't think I'd stay again in the Corona, but I'd definitely stay again in the area.

10 Days New York City Vacation Together with my wife we did stay 10 days at The Central Park North. We really liked it there, they provide everything we needed for an extended stay and it was always clean and the staff was always very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed staying in this well aged kind of historic and well maintained building. We always felt save here and the location is very convinent, close to central park and 3 major subway lines within 2 to 10 min walking. For us it was a perfect stay. Thanks a lot for providing this affordable service. Michael

Great service. Annoying that there was no laundry room in the building, and the nearest laundromat is all the way in canal street, which is an issue if you are staying long term. The service was good , the room was very clean and a comfortable level of space for 2 sisters. Our room did not have a mini fridge which was inconvenient. For the price, the room was very comfortable, in a beautiful location, and felt very clean. The room came with an umbrella, and they refilled the water regularly. Overall, a nice stay and I would stay here again.

Terrible; Not a 5 Star Hotel and Terrible Service Unacceptable treatment of a family with an infant — avoid if you actually need your room We booked through Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts specifically for the early check-in benefit, and requested it well in advance. We arrived around 9 AM with our 6-month-old baby and were left waiting in the lobby for hours with no real updates. When I asked the front desk if we could simply wait in a room — any room — while ours was being finished, the request was flatly and rudely refused. There was no effort to accommodate a family traveling with an infant, no empathy, no urgency. The lobby itself has only about four chairs, and at one point I was reduced to trying to rest there while we waited. By the time we were finally given a room, hours later, it was disappointing — small, with a cramped bathroom and shower that felt more like a roadside motel than a 5-star property. And even then, hotel staff were still trying to sort out our room situation as late as 3 PM, nearly six hours after we’d arrived. For a property charging 5-star prices and marketing FHR benefits, this was a 5-star failure in basic hospitality. A hotel that can’t manage a confirmed early check-in request — and treats a family with a sleeping infant this dismissively — doesn’t deserve the rating it currently has. I’d think twice before booking here again, FHR or not. If the Trump name is supposed to signal luxury, this stay was the opposite. Buyer beware — what’s promised and what’s delivered are two very different things here

Exceptional stay at this Trump hotel overlooking central park. We had a marvelous one bedroom suite with a kitchen and a fantastic view on Central Park. This Hotel have an ideal location at Colombus circle: -A pretty shopping center. -An Organic Whole foods market. -A CVS. -A Target... we 're at ten minutes walk from the fifth avenue. The value for money is the best of the hotels overlooking Central Park.Every room can have a SUV at your disposal when available to take a ride inside the city. The concierge services is very efficient and all the staff are very friendly. The breakfast at Jean Georges is delicious and you could order in your room Jean Georges Nougatine restaurant dinner.Thank you so much for your kindness.Cheers.
