A cafe with a parisian ambiance, amazing croissants and average cappuccino. Actually, their latte is way bigger and fluffier than a cappuccino which surprised me. It is on a more expensive side considering its location. The service is fast but not very attentive (the croissant came cold though i asked it warm). There are 8-10 tables but it is busy and you might have to wait for a spot.
Cafe is beautiful but a pet peeve I have is when coffee shops serve to stay orders in paper cups. I requested one and they said that the dish washer isn't working. I'm hoping management could provide the customer with a much better espresso experience. You're a coffee shop inside one of the luxurious shopping malls in NYC in a very busy area and this is the best way to present my espresso?
Café Jalu inside Printemps is a beautiful space with great aesthetics, but the coffee doesn’t match the setting. For the price and overall vibe, you’d expect a higher-quality drink and better presentation, but it was pretty average and nothing memorable. With so many better coffee spots in the area, this one is easy to skip.
Excellent service and a warm atmosphere
"5/5 stars! Joey Bats Cafe exceeded my expectations in every way! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was OUTSTANDING! Can't wait to come back!"
"Absolutely loved my experience here! The coffee was amazing, and the atmosphere was so welcoming and calm. I had a delicious vanilla latte that hit the spot. Plus, the place was super clean and tidy. I can’t wait to come back the next time I’m nearby!"
As per the title. Classic bar on the ground floor attached to the hotel. Frequented mainly by hotel guests who have to spend a coupon as a B&B treatment. Prices beyond all expectations or expensive compared to the already expensive prices of NYC. Clearly nobody says anything because they only pay the difference + state taxes. I attach a few photos with prices. Quality however not bad ditto the service. I do not recommend, in the area there is better.
Ate breakfast here. Good croissants (my love), and a very interesting menu that had healthy food as well as sinful stuff. Warning: ask what is in a dish before you order it. I ordered eggs with ham, and the ham arrived swimming in a heavy gravy. Coffee was good and the ambiance was very nice. Would return. Beware that this area does not seem to have any reasonably priced breakfast places -- it's all high-end, price-wise. Service was not very good, though; we had to constantly ask servers passing by to help us, as our waiter never came to check on us (and it was early, so they were not busy.)
BEWARE: "Poor business ethics" The female manager, with the Euro accent, possibly Hungarian, I'm assuming, is not a well polished manager/owner with true consumer oriented business ethics. BACKGROUND: We called before entering, to ask if it was OK to bring in bagel sandwiches purchased close by at the Absolute Bagel Shop. Our intent was also to purchase and enjoy their coffee and pastries. Whoever responded over the phone said it was OK and that there would be no problem. When we got there, we purchased two coffees and a chocolate pastry which honestly were decent. When we proceeded to sit down and enjoy the pastries and sandwiches, we were informed by a young blondish haired woman with tattoos on both arms that it was not acceptable to bring food in from the outside. I explained that we got it cleared with someone over the phone that it was OK to bring sandwiches from another venue. I then proceeded to appeal the situation to the manager who flatly denied our request just the same. She could've reconsidered and warned us that it was OK this time, but not to do it again, but didn't. We are a well groomed family visiting from California with a child. We should've been given the benefit of the doubt, but weren't. In fact, one older gentleman sitting next to us was nodding his head in disgust that we were being basically tossed out of the establishment for a reason that was in fact flimsy and not consumer oriented. POSSIBLE RAMIFICATIONS: I am a 67 year old visiting from out of town as indicated with a wholesome appearance and family. We are not scalawags or dirtbags from off the street. The weather outside was atrociously hot, 90 degrees to be exact, with an air quality alert. The heat was comparable to what I would say would be a very high desert heat, probably due to the humidity. People in my age range, under those conditions, have been known to suffer heat stroke with debilitating aftermaths and even death. Luckily, this did not happen, but had it, their decision would've definitely left them open to legal liability and action. I will not be returning and I will tell all those I know, who come frequently to visit this area, to stay away and not give them business. ... And believe me, I know plenty of people in high standing in the community.
A charming French bakery in NYC offering buttery croissants, delicate pastries, and a cozy atmosphere that feels like a little slice of Paris.
A fun place to stop on the Upper West Side. The apple turnover was delicious. The prices were amazing and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming.
A girlfriend and I stumbled upon this boutique coffee shop in Manhattan and it did not disappoint! Great cup of coffee, tasty food, and a friendly staff with such a good vibe atmosphere.

Cafe Grumpy - Financial District is a cozy and inviting spot for excellent coffee. The staff is friendly and attentive, making it a reliable and enjoyable café experience in the Financial District.

Decent atmosphere, but the flavors are not there. For the price, we expect much better and especially more. Too bad, the place has potential.
