071125 Summerlicious dinner: upon entering on a hot day, no AC simply a small ceiling fan for the entire place in very slow run hardly feel the coolness at all... greeted by a white Caucasian wait staff who seemed a tad tactless. For the meals, opted for: APP ~ PEI mussels the mussels were pretty small; sauce was mediocre and an absolute skimping bread which I find stale my opinion... MAIN ~ lamb shank flavourful yet not the best- meat still a tad tough... DESSERT ~ lava cake just scooped a spoonful more so the ice cream... I have had better ones. DRINKS ~ Black Orchid at $12.95 hmm could've gone to a proper restaurant downtown... drank more glasses of water with ice ~ had to ask twice for it... restaurant was poorly utterly hot...

1. Phoned to make reservation and inquired about Happy Hour menu and requested reservation for the bar area to use Happy Hour menu- Was seated by hostess and given Happy Hour menus- Was then told -“no we do not have Happy Hour on Saturday” I explained that they took my reservation knowing I wanted this menu, they sat us with the menu and the online menu only stipulated 4-6pm- they should have honoured the menu 2. Asked us if we preferred flat or sparkling water- answered flat. Charged us 3.22 each for flat “distilled water” 3. Charged the designated driver for each club soda- no refills on soda water! Paid $10.50 for 3 small glasses of club soda. 4. Two guests ordered off fresh fish market- $44 for red snapper and served with one potato and some Horta - these guests left still hungry after very small portioned meals. The other two meals ordered were Crispy Halibut and Souvlaki, both on which could have used a few more potatoes. Overall portions are small here. 5. Desserts were $13-$15 and again small portions. 6. Was seated at the bar area for a menu we couldn’t even use- and the entire time we were there was only 2 tables filled so the atmosphere was dull and servers slow. If I had known about the menu not be offered I would have reserved the other side of restaurant that looked more interesting. 7. Be prepared not to see guests on other side of table as the lamp decor too tall and blocked the person at my diagonal of table.

2pc Spicy chicken spaghetti meal with pineapple juice is my favorite and I order it everytime I visit this place! I prefer the mango pie than the ube pie but both are good. Burger steak is better consumed while hot/warm, not recommended for takeout orders. Location is accessible and just few minutes walk from Eaton Center. Been there couple of times and noticed it is always busy anytime of the day. Cons is that the place is very cozy and only few tables available for dining, you have to wait for the next available to be seated. Staff are friendly and even told us we can still order at the front counter than queuing at the kiosk, which is located upon entry.

3 Star Food rating based on price. 4 Star for taste. 3 Star Service rating based on interaction with our waitress. Treat every client as if it's your first. Offer your name, check-in during the meal. (5 stars to the lovely lady seating everyone) 5 Star Atmosphere rating based on this place being very cool and retro. We grabbed some lunch before attending a play at the CAA Ed Mirvish Theater across the street (Victoria entrance). Outdoor small lot parking next door ($20 or $35 "event" parking fee) It's a cute little diner and the lady in charge was VERY friendly and attentive. Service staff was efficient from what I witnessed. Our wait time for a table was approximately 30 minutes. They do not rush you after you've paid your bill. The ambience and feel of an old school diner is definitely present. 2 or 4 person booths (one booth/chair combo) and counter seating and one bench/chair table in the window area for larger group of 5 maybe max. There was also one table with chairs outside. Restrooms are downstairs. (not accessible). The Senator is not cheap. Club Sandwich, French Toast, 2 coffees, total was $80 with tip.

4-star here but certainly it is still one of the must-go restaurants in downtown. When you enter a popular chain restaurant, you certainly have expectations. The chef of restaurant rescued the whole dining experience or I would have given a 1-star, applause to her and the receptionist should think about if he is still suitable to his job or he wants this job. Let’s start our story💁🏻‍♀️❣️ I understand I entered the restaurant late (I booked a table online) due to traffic but there were plenty of seats available anyway. I told the receptionist I am in a hurry due to the traffic delay and I can order immediately once sitting down, but he still insisted introducing me the washrooms and left the menu & said coming back in a minute…and never coming back after a minute or two😮. I was furious while the clock was ticking…and I tried to wave other staff (I knew it was a bit impolite, sorry), and good that a lovely waitress came and understood my condition, then she passed me to her chef to help make things right and well. Going back to the food, the meal was lovely, the chef helped to separate butter and cream cheese on a side was a wise decision, as the side and baked potatoes with them are a bit oily that my stomach didn’t feel so well (my bad, I am having a sensitive digestive system but insisted adding all butter and cheese, their flavouring was so good that I took my own risk🤷🏻‍♀️, I should have put a bit less🙈) The mushroom was so yummy that I finished it before my steak, the steak was just right served between medium and medium rare, picky person like me can say nothing and just eat☺️…the overall is a bit salty but I used to eat clean…and The Bread 🥖!!! After trying so many restaurants and cafes, this bread is sourdough, baked correctly, outside crunchy while inside soft and it is not stale!!! A lot of places are just fulfilled either two or three💁🏻‍♀️…Now I knew why this chain can keep opening new ones and also people go there even a bit pricy 💁🏻‍♀️ P.S. the disappointing part was the Caesar salad, I added it for a balance of vegetables and meat/carbs, the salad dressing was a bit over and cover the sweetness of the veg. I put a lot of lemon juice to balance it, my set became more pricy because of it but so far not so worthwhile for veggie, next time I’d rather buy a mocktail here and then grab a bag of salad from Fortinos 😜😅

1st time here for summerlicious. Upon arrival, we were being told our table would be ready shortly. Waited 5 mins and was brought to a 2-person table with an extra chair on the side (we have 3 adults). I tried to ask for a proper 3-person table but the hostess said that was the only table available in the dining room. We ended up sitting in the cafe section with very weak a/c and stuffy airflow. Uncomfortable! Food was just average. The short rib appetizer was quite dry. Ordered medium rare for our steaks and they all turned out medium. Fuzzy peach drink was way too sour.... The 3-star rating was for the food. For overall service, I can only give max 2 stars. Not sute if it was due to the higher volume during summerlicious, I'd say I receive better service from Swiss Chalet than this place. Very disappointed.....

20 min wait for a table. Pointed to the table with no direction on the menu. Flagged a waitress and got a menu reluctantly, 20 minutes later still no service not even an acknowledgement.

2nd visit, came back because the food is very good and the service was acceptable for the Danforth. We arrived last night at around 6, lots of empty tables and they asked us if we had reservations which we didn't and were promptly seated at the back of the restaurant right next to the wait areas and kitchen even though there were plenty of empty tables. The area was very noisy they were busy but not crazy busy. The waiter came promptly probably to get us out quick because we finished at 6:45. He wasn't very personable and didn't seem to recognize my daughter asked for a salad for her main course but he brought her salad at the same time as mine and my wife's, but didn't bring huge complementary bread and butter that all the other tables were gettig. Our main courses arrived fried Calimari for me and chicken breast for my wife both were excellent. The waiter had a look at out table but didn't bother to ask how our dinner tasted our if my wife would like a refill for her drink, we had to ask someone else for the refill. Fast forward to asking for the cheque he brought the machine I punched in the 15% tip even though I should not have, he teared the receipt left it on the table without even looking at us and saying thank you or have a nice evening. That's a first even when I've had bad service the server always made an attempt to seem grateful but not this guy. On my out I told the hostess the waiter didn't say thank you or to enjoy our night. She feigned surprise but I saw a lineup of people waiting to get in and understand where the ENTLEMENT comes from, they are busy even though there service level sucks. Too bad I won't be making a return visit but will be sure to recount my experience to friends and family and hopefully they will tell others.

After a lighthearted evening watching & Juliet, we made our way to Scaddabush for some Italian comfort food. All of EnD Adventures was together — our daughters, friends, and the two of us — which already set the tone for a memorable night out. Despite the restaurant being packed, we were seated quickly. Our server, Noah, stopped by early with menus and the nightly specials. It was clear the entire team was hustling; drinks took longer than usual, but Noah was doing everything he could to keep the pace. The space itself was a delight. Warm lighting, thoughtful décor, and those whimsical canned vegetables added a quirky charm that made the room feel inviting and full of character. There was always something interesting to notice. The fresh mozzarella — their signature — absolutely lived up to its reputation. Creamy, rich, and beautifully prepared, it was easily the standout of the table. Our meals arrived hot and exactly as ordered, and everyone enjoyed their choices. The only real downside was the long gaps between check-ins for drink refills or questions. With several large tables nearby and the restaurant buzzing, it was understandable, though still noticeable. All in all, it was a lovely evening, and we’d happily return — perhaps to a quieter location next time, just to see how the service feels when the pace isn’t quite so intense. 1st off - the place is very crowded in the evenings, and especially on the weekends. Got take out as we didn't want to wait to be seated. Food was very good in terms of flavor. Did squash fritters, green curry fried rice, noodles and masaman curry. Overall, a bit on the pricier side, and the quantity was on the smaller side.

One of the most ridiculous and rude experiences I’ve had in Canada. Our group of five was having a great time and was just about to order dessert when we were told we had to pay the bill and leave or move to the bar area. There was absolutely no mention of a time limit when we made the reservation. It completely ruined our gathering. To make matters worse, the food was mediocre at best and the space was incredibly cramped. I highly recommend staying away from this place.

Amazing experience, was looking to try a new steakhouse besides the regular Harbour60 or Blue Blood experience but let me tell you, this place does not disappoint. My favourite experience by far regardless of being seated at the bar, Thanks to Milan ofcourse. Firstly, the food was impeccable, everything was so detail oriented and the tastes matched that energy. Best steak I’ve ever had in my life was eaten here. A dry aged Kobe Wagyu strip loin, one word - butter. Besides the unreal food this experience would not have been it without the energy and service of Milan. She took the initiative to explain and answer any questions we had, all of her recommendations hit the spot, and ontop of that, took the time to give us a tour of the dry aging room. Her energy was 10/10 throughout the experience and it wouldn’t have been as comfortable as she made it feel without her. 100% recommend for anyone in search of an upscale fine dining experience. Will definitely return.

We recently had dinner at 360 Restaurant in the CN Tower in downtown Toronto. My husband had reserved a romantic table by the window and arranged a small extra with champagne and strawberries, which we appreciated. The table location was nice, but it’s worth noting that the restaurant slowly rotates. If you have a sensitive balance system, this movement could potentially cause motion sickness. We were first served a small plate of melon wrapped in prosciutto, which was pleasant but quite minimal. The menu itself was somewhat difficult to navigate. For starters, my husband ordered the grilled octopus and I chose the beef tartare. The octopus was good and well prepared. Unfortunately, the beef tartare was disappointing. Instead of a typical tartare texture, it resembled finely ground beef and was presented as a flat, round patty—almost like a small pancake. It was not something I would recommend. For the main course we both ordered the Nova Scotia lobster. You can choose either half (65 CAD) or a whole lobster (125 CAD), and we both chose the whole lobster. Based on the price and description, we expected something more substantial than simply being served one large lobster each. The final bill came to over 400 CAD, which felt very disappointing considering the overall experience. We were honestly left without words. For comparison, we have dined at places like Joey’s and The Keg where a steak and lobster combination costs around 60 CAD, with a lobster add-on of about 25 CAD. In those cases, the value for money felt far better. While the view from the CN Tower is certainly unique, the food quality and overall value did not match the price in our experience.

For the three days in the beautiful Lucca we were lucky enough to dine in this quaint restaurant. Three nights in a row because we had a great time and we decided to come back and return. The legendary chef, Mr. Giuliano welcomed us with his professionalism, sympathy and expertise. But all the staff and property are to be commended. Excellent dishes, elegant and reserved environment. Among the dishes the pie and the rooster ragout stand out for goodness and balance of flavors. Lucca oil of great value, like the wines also served by the glass. A good experience. We leave Lucca with the nostalgia of Buca Sant'Antonio. To try. Highly recommended.
