$19 (including tax) for cup ramen with small portions ain't worth it

$56 for two breakfasts it’s the new normal now! Ordered eggs over easy received them over hard! Home fries way over cooked with 2 1/2 pieces of peameal bacon and half a small container of beans! This is apparently their signature breakfast but definitely was a one time visit only. Overpriced for what little you get!

1. Phoned to make reservation and inquired about Happy Hour menu and requested reservation for the bar area to use Happy Hour menu- Was seated by hostess and given Happy Hour menus- Was then told -“no we do not have Happy Hour on Saturday” I explained that they took my reservation knowing I wanted this menu, they sat us with the menu and the online menu only stipulated 4-6pm- they should have honoured the menu 2. Asked us if we preferred flat or sparkling water- answered flat. Charged us 3.22 each for flat “distilled water” 3. Charged the designated driver for each club soda- no refills on soda water! Paid $10.50 for 3 small glasses of club soda. 4. Two guests ordered off fresh fish market- $44 for red snapper and served with one potato and some Horta - these guests left still hungry after very small portioned meals. The other two meals ordered were Crispy Halibut and Souvlaki, both on which could have used a few more potatoes. Overall portions are small here. 5. Desserts were $13-$15 and again small portions. 6. Was seated at the bar area for a menu we couldn’t even use- and the entire time we were there was only 2 tables filled so the atmosphere was dull and servers slow. If I had known about the menu not be offered I would have reserved the other side of restaurant that looked more interesting. 7. Be prepared not to see guests on other side of table as the lamp decor too tall and blocked the person at my diagonal of table.

2 patties + Kola Champagne is a staple order growing up in Toronto. $5 - can’t beat those prices in this day and age. Patties were a 7.8/10. Highlight was the patty crust. 👌🏽 If you’re at Union and you need something to hold you over until you catch the train, definitely a go to.💯

3 Star Food rating based on price. 4 Star for taste. 3 Star Service rating based on interaction with our waitress. Treat every client as if it's your first. Offer your name, check-in during the meal. (5 stars to the lovely lady seating everyone) 5 Star Atmosphere rating based on this place being very cool and retro. We grabbed some lunch before attending a play at the CAA Ed Mirvish Theater across the street (Victoria entrance). Outdoor small lot parking next door ($20 or $35 "event" parking fee) It's a cute little diner and the lady in charge was VERY friendly and attentive. Service staff was efficient from what I witnessed. Our wait time for a table was approximately 30 minutes. They do not rush you after you've paid your bill. The ambience and feel of an old school diner is definitely present. 2 or 4 person booths (one booth/chair combo) and counter seating and one bench/chair table in the window area for larger group of 5 maybe max. There was also one table with chairs outside. Restrooms are downstairs. (not accessible). The Senator is not cheap. Club Sandwich, French Toast, 2 coffees, total was $80 with tip.

$250 cash deposit required because of debit card My company paid for 3 nights in advance and when I showed up, I was asked for $250 deposit (why?, I asked - you cant even bill anything to your room?). I only had my debit card as the room was prepaid, and then I was told they could not bill the debit card for the deposit. So they sent me out on the streets at 12:30 am to get $250 cash out of an ATM machine. This was immediate "3 strikes and you're out for me". I did stay here for my purchased three days but won't return. It's too bad this ruined it for me - even though the room is as small as a dog kennel, the shoddy workmanship on the floors, and there is no real TV ("Smart TV" means "no TV except what you can find to stream on our slow 802.11g wifi network being shared by 20 people"), I was prepared to say the Manager was super-nice, and my meeting was at TSK, and you couldn't find a closer location (though the Chelsea is one block further and has no such debit card nonsense). But the cash deposit thing forever poisoned me on the place. If you do stay here, try the bubble-tea place across the street - they have really good Korean food cheap.

1 Hotel Turned a Problem into the Best Service I’ve Ever Experienced I took my teenage son to Toronto for a YungBlud concert and decided to make it special by booking two “luxury” hotels: one night at another high-end hotel, and the rest of the weekend at 1 Hotel (where I’ve stayed before). Both were in the $500–$700/night range. On paper, they looked the same. In reality, they were not. When we checked into our room at 1 Hotel, there was an issue: because a window had been left open before we arrived, the room had been invaded by what looked like tiny garden bugs or baby mosquitoes. Thousands of them. Not what you expect at this level. Not their fault. There is a huge garden outside the window and if the window if left open they will naturally flow towards the light and heat. What impressed me was not that something went wrong, but how they handled it. Immediate response: As soon as we mentioned the issue, they switched our room right away. No defensiveness, no excuses, just, “We’ll fix this now.” Above-and-beyond service: We realized later we’d left a bottle of champagne at the first hotel. That hotel told us to “just order an Uber” to get it. When I mentioned this to 1 Hotel, they personally contacted the other property, arranged for their concierge car to bring the bottle over, put it on ice, and delivered it to our room. Thoughtful apology: That night, we received a plate of fruit and strawberries with a handwritten note apologizing for the inconvenience. Financial gesture: At checkout, they had already removed the $50 valet fee from the bill without me asking. Follow-up after the stay: On the drive home, I received a personal email from the hotel manager, apologizing again and offering us an upgrade on our next stay. Two hotels called themselves “luxury.” Only one behaved like it when things went sideways. 1 Hotel turned a potential horror story into a masterclass in hospitality. They didn’t just fix a room; they restored trust and made us feel genuinely cared for. I will absolutely stay here again and recommend 1 Hotel Toronto to anyone who wants true 5-star service, not just 5-star pricing.

10 minutes from airport Nice hotel close to airport, good restaurants and bar. Upscale food and pricing but cheaper alternatives nearby. Had a large meeting, 300+ and swallowed us easily. Rooms small, good comfortable beds, good shower, lots of roomy elevators so going up is easy. Airport shuttle every 30 minutes. Room Keys actually worked consistently. Only big setback is noise from jet planes flying overhead, they supply earplugs, picky sleepers would have issues with it.

12 Hour Nightmare at Le Germain! What an exciting night! Blue Jays home opener! While at the game I received a phone call from the hotel that the valet had done some damage to my car- not sure why they would call someone and try to have a conversation while 50k people are screaming but it what it is. Guess they’re going to fix it… wonder what it does to the value of my Model S P100D. The following morning was trying to get some work done. Called for room service around 9:30 am after no answer for the voicemail asking me to leave my room number and they would call me back. At 10:15 still no call back so I redial. This time its answered and I was told it would be 90 min wait. That’s 2 hr and 15 min for eggs. Guess they’re some special eggs. Maybe I should have waited. I quickly shower and run out for food. Luck has it I find a subway (not joking) and they made me some eggs in 30 seconds and sent me on my way back. When I returned I asked the front desk for my car keys as I did not want them touching my car again. While I was there I let the person at the front know what went on with breakfast. Got my key then went upstairs to finish some work. Went back down to check out and I believe the manager called me up as apposed to the woman who helped me this morning. The front desk person went on to explain that she had talked to the kitchen manager regarding my frustration with the magic eggs. Had to stop her as I could t understand the point. “She overheard the conversation and then called the kitchen for an explanation “ , fantastic. Did you then call me? Nope Unfortunate but won’t be staying there again ; was so convenient, but seriously could they have done anything to help me? What a miserable 12 hours. Thank you - was a blast. (Sarcasm) PS - do not valet your car here!!!!

I've been here a dozen of times and their service, friendliness and quality of food has been consistent in every way. I love their omelettes and today I had the daily special jalapeno and ranch burger with soup for $13.99. great deal and the presentation of the food was exactly like the picture in the menu. I love that there are plenty of pictures in the menu and their meals are decently priced for the portion size. Sometimes I wish they stayed open past 3pm :) I hope the quality and service remains great for years to come.

Boat cruise was over priced. Driver for the tour was excellent. Tour bus had little leg room and no bathroom . Hotel pick up was on time and very convenient.

Took this trip on our first full day in Toronto, with John as our guide. I would recommend this in a heartbeat, we also added a helicopter trip above the falls which, though expensive at $C 160 each, was an amazing once in a lifetime experience. The day was made by our guide John, who was absolutely exceptional. Highly recommended
