$7,300 dinner was a disaster. Javonna who was our sales manager and coordinator for the event reassured us we would finally meet us after months of putting the event together and the night of the event she was nowhere to be found and sent a emailing apologizing 2 days later. We had to coordinate so many things that night instead of enjoying the special night. We literally had to eat Waffle House after our dinner because we couldn’t enjoy and relax. On top of all that there was been a tireless journey regarding a payment the billing team Kathy and Javonna are claiming is missing when I’ve sent proof over for payment after she weirdly refused for me to send a receipt and i sent it anyways. Haven’t heard anything back regarding the payment except they are “investigating” and it’s June 17th i’m writing this and the dinner was on May 30th. Had a partial buyout on Saturday May 30th for 34 of my loved ones. Waitress Su was rude and snappy while also taking long to serve guest. Upon arrival confusion with signature drinks. Waitresses had no clue about signature drinks. Upon me and my fiancées arrival (we were the last to arrive) Su told us we would have to pay for extra Charcuterie board after paying over $7,300 for dinner we couldn’t even get a single charcuterie board for the main guest who paid for the dinner 😂😂😂 We should’ve went to SunDial

My husband and I had the privilege of dining at Capolinea for the first time this Valentine’s Day, and to say we were blown away would be an understatement. The service was incredible, and the food was absolutely exceptional. We especially enjoyed the Maltagliati con tartufo. The noodles were clearly homemade and perfectly cooked al dente. The sauce was beautifully creamy with just the right amount of truffle. We both agreed it was the most authentic pasta we’ve had in the United States, and it truly reminded us of Italy. The Tricolore salad was another favorite, and we greatly enjoyed the filetto wagyu as well. The desserts were equally impressive and perfectly complemented the courses before them. Capolinea also offers an extensive wine list and a thoughtful selection of spirits, which their talented bartender crafted into beautiful cocktails. Beyond the outstanding food, the service was impeccable. We had the pleasure of being served by Dominique, who was professional, personable, and attentive throughout the evening. Our glasses were never close to empty, and he provided excellent recommendations while answering all of our questions with care. We cannot wait to return. The only regret you’ll leave with is not being able to try more of the incredible dishes in one sitting.

Sometimes I travel so I can immerse myself in the local cuisines and traditions. And other times I find local restaurants that remind me of those odysseys. My first pilgrimage to Cantoo Latin Asian Rotisserie let me wander and explore two cuisines and countries at the same time - Venezuela and China. I can hardly wait to go back. I stopped off on my way to see Richard Thompson at the Fillmore. The menu is pretty extensive and there are so many different soups, appetizers, rotisserie chickens, B.B.Q. pork ribs dishes and clay pots. The list and unique combinations were endless and a bit overwhelming. I ordered a Empanada con Carne Mechada: Deep fried corn flour empanada with Venezuelan shredded beef. and Chili Oil Pan-Fried Pork Dumplings: Home made pork dumplings! Made from scratch, starting from grinding the meat, to seasoning the filling of the dumplings. Both were so good. The Empanada had flavors of sweet corn filled with a rich shredded beef. The Pork Dumplings were fresh and tasty. The chili oil gives the dumpling's the right amount of heat and made my tongue sing. Service was so kind, friendly and efficient. I know I just scratched the surface of this gem. While located in the Tenderloin, the street is alive with people and automobiles. I felt completely safe. Matt says if you are anywhere near O'Farrell St - maybe near Union Square or on your way to the Great American Music Hall, take a Lyft or the 38 (R) Muni and let yourself travel to China and Venezuela and explore the amazing and creative foods of those countries.

We had dinner here without a reservation on a Wednesday night. Not only was the food delicious but the hospitality and service we received was exceptional. We absolutely felt like family! Highly recommend!

£10 tea is an absolute bargain. For £10 I didn't know what to expect, but what we got was a full afternoon tea stand with sandwiches, scones and cakes! Will be booking in again before the offer ends. Thank you Brewhemia.

$$$$ + dining experience = only 3 stars Our first dining experience at Le Virtu left us a bit disappointed. The restaurant is part of the hot Passyunk Ave. scene. Luckily on a Sat. night we pulled up just as someone was leaving a metered spot. Otherwise expect to pay ($16) for valet parking. Inside, the dining space is very attractive. Great for a fun or romantic evening out. So the meal. The special "Easter pie" (like a quiche) was very good. The spaghetti with sweet and hot peppers would have been excellent if it was not so salty. The roasted lamb with polenta and broccoli rabe was okay but certainly not outstanding. And again, a bit too salty. The hostess and the waitstaff were friendly, but I was dismayed that our crumb-topped table was never wiped clean. Drinks were reasonably priced. However, with a four $$$$ rating, on this night Le Virtu did not deliver a memorable dining experience.

$180 of cold food, not again Panera Ordered catering for our office for delivery between 11:30-11:45. After it had not arrived by 12:30 I called to locate the delivery. I had to call 6 times before someone answered the phone to help. Was told they are waiting on a driver to deliver the order. Now that our food had been made and sitting for 10 min already, I was told that they would call me when the driver left. They did not call, and the order arrived at 1 and was cold and some items were incorrect.

After a lighthearted evening watching & Juliet, we made our way to Scaddabush for some Italian comfort food. All of EnD Adventures was together — our daughters, friends, and the two of us — which already set the tone for a memorable night out. Despite the restaurant being packed, we were seated quickly. Our server, Noah, stopped by early with menus and the nightly specials. It was clear the entire team was hustling; drinks took longer than usual, but Noah was doing everything he could to keep the pace. The space itself was a delight. Warm lighting, thoughtful décor, and those whimsical canned vegetables added a quirky charm that made the room feel inviting and full of character. There was always something interesting to notice. The fresh mozzarella — their signature — absolutely lived up to its reputation. Creamy, rich, and beautifully prepared, it was easily the standout of the table. Our meals arrived hot and exactly as ordered, and everyone enjoyed their choices. The only real downside was the long gaps between check-ins for drink refills or questions. With several large tables nearby and the restaurant buzzing, it was understandable, though still noticeable. All in all, it was a lovely evening, and we’d happily return — perhaps to a quieter location next time, just to see how the service feels when the pace isn’t quite so intense. High End Korean Cuisine We tried this restaurant based on the reputation of the owner and chef, David Chang. We were delighted to see the chef there the night we visited, and my son was able to meet him and congratulate him on this new enterprise. We tried a selection of small plates and shared them around the table. All were unique and flavorful. The wait staff was very attentive and helpful and we enjoyed dining outdoors in their courtyard area. We will definitely return in the future when we have the opportunity.

They don’t care - at all Had a reservation for 7:15pm and was rudely told that our table was not ready and he would check and let us know. 20 minutes later I went to see if he had checked and he had not. After five more minutes, he tells us that the guests are still using the table and are enjoying their meal- it will be a long wait. No apology. No smile - no warmth. We left. Very disappointing. I wonder if it was because we had our teenage daughter with us. Didn’t seem like there were any other teens there. We had planned on the tasting menu and she was very excited. Never have we felt like a restaurant was so dismissive and absolutely didn’t care.

Highly recommended We arrived at Pappas Bros. Steakhouse on ChatGPT’s recommendation, and not for a single moment did we regret it. From the moment we walked in, it was clear we were in for something special. The restaurant is beautifully designed, with a sophisticated, dimly lit atmosphere that feels both elegant and comfortable. It is quiet enough to hold a conversation without raising your voice, yet lively enough to maintain a pleasant buzz, complemented by tasteful background music. The experience began before we even reached our table. At the entrance, guests are greeted by an impressive display of premium beef cuts and a lobster tank that immediately sets expectations high. Since we had made a reservation, we were seated promptly. The restrooms were spotless, and for those who appreciate old-school luxuries, there is even a cigar selection featuring Cuban cigars. As impressive as the setting was, and as professional and attentive as the service proved, everything ultimately took a back seat to the food. ChatGPT promised a top-tier steakhouse, and Pappas Bros. absolutely delivered. We started with excellent glasses of Champagne, which were generously refilled, and then moved on to outstanding red wine. Then came the main event: two Filet Mignons, a dry-aged New York Strip, and a dry-aged Ribeye. All four steaks were cooked to perfection. The medium-plus orders arrived exactly as requested, while the medium steak displayed the ideal warm pink center. Achieving this level of precision with such large cuts requires real skill, and the kitchen deserves tremendous credit. Special recognition also goes to the aging process. The beef developed a remarkable depth of flavor, particularly the Ribeye, which delivered an almost heavenly richness. The side dishes were equally impressive. The asparagus was exceptional, perfectly cooked and not drowned in butter. The roasted wild mushrooms turned out to be an absolute delicacy and disappeared from the table within minutes. The potatoes au gratin were the only dish that left a little room for improvement. While still delicious, they could have benefited from slightly less melted cheese on top and potatoes cooked a touch less, as they were somewhat softer than what one would expect from a classic gratin. We finished with two excellent desserts. The Key Lime Pie earned high praise from those who enjoy the genre. As someone who gravitates toward chocolate, I thoroughly enjoyed the Turtle Mousse Tart, featuring chocolate mousse, salted caramel, and an Oreo crust. It was indulgently sweet without feeling overwhelmingly heavy, if such a thing is even possible. One of the evening’s most memorable moments came unexpectedly. After we asked our server to take a photo of our group, she noticed we seemed to be celebrating and asked about the occasion. Since we were indeed celebrating, she graciously offered dessert on the house. It was one of those thoughtful gestures that elevate a meal into a truly memorable hospitality experience. In total, we paid approximately $668, including a 20% gratuity, for four entrées, three side dishes, six glasses of wine and Champagne, and two complimentary desserts. It was not an inexpensive evening, but we walked away feeling that every single dollar was worth it. Highly recommended. If you are looking for one of the finest steakhouse experiences in Dallas, Pappas Bros. Steakhouse more than lives up to its reputation.
