1. Phoned to make reservation and inquired about Happy Hour menu and requested reservation for the bar area to use Happy Hour menu- Was seated by hostess and given Happy Hour menus- Was then told -“no we do not have Happy Hour on Saturday” I explained that they took my reservation knowing I wanted this menu, they sat us with the menu and the online menu only stipulated 4-6pm- they should have honoured the menu 2. Asked us if we preferred flat or sparkling water- answered flat. Charged us 3.22 each for flat “distilled water” 3. Charged the designated driver for each club soda- no refills on soda water! Paid $10.50 for 3 small glasses of club soda. 4. Two guests ordered off fresh fish market- $44 for red snapper and served with one potato and some Horta - these guests left still hungry after very small portioned meals. The other two meals ordered were Crispy Halibut and Souvlaki, both on which could have used a few more potatoes. Overall portions are small here. 5. Desserts were $13-$15 and again small portions. 6. Was seated at the bar area for a menu we couldn’t even use- and the entire time we were there was only 2 tables filled so the atmosphere was dull and servers slow. If I had known about the menu not be offered I would have reserved the other side of restaurant that looked more interesting. 7. Be prepared not to see guests on other side of table as the lamp decor too tall and blocked the person at my diagonal of table.
1. You pay up front including tip. Dont sit down to order. Just to eat. 2. 1 napkin. 3. 1 set of wood chop sticks. 4. One size od Pho. Small. 5. Meat is extra. 6. Veggies are extra. 7. $10 is just water and noodles. This is discount Pho. Not worth the discount. There are plenty of places where you can get good Pho for a few bucks more. You get tea. For whatever reason, wouldnt give us satay for $3 extra. Maybe they were out? Everything here is extra. Unless you just want water and noodles, go somewhere better.
2nd time at this restaurant but this time disappointed. Had the valentines day prefixed set dinner. Lobster bisque was great, main course was very disappointing. Lobster not fresh, steak with lot of fat. A dessert was served sideway. Waiter David not good, never ask doneness for steak, never came to ask how's the food. I'm also surprised to see that the dessert, Smore's, one of the item on the pri-fix menu, would charge us extra? Never mention this on the menu. Sorry for the price I could have got way better food and services.
1000/10 experience! The food was so superb and the staff were so sweet and welcoming. The establishment had such a lovely atmosphere and I loved spending my time there! I'm recommending this place to all of my friends. It's a great hidden gem located in downtown Toronto!
Absolutely loved this pizza! 🍕🔥 The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft inside, with that delicious wood-fired flavor. The toppings were generous and fresh, and the cheese was melted just right. Every bite was balanced and full of flavor. The place itself is clean and welcoming, the staff is friendly, and the service was quick. Plus, the music created a great vibe without being too loud. Definitely coming back!
Excellent meal, good atmosphere and perfect service. I will definitely come back!
5 being outstanding food atmosphere wait staff Awesomeness after driving around the city looking for a place to eat I’m so fortunate my wife found this place I highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A big thank you to "Captain" and the wonderful staff at the Carisma. We had such an outstanding dining experience that we will definitely return when back in Toronto. Not only the beautiful atmosphere of the restaurant, but the attention to the guests and the exquisite food, made our dining quite memorable.
Absolutely horrible experience. I booked a month in advance for a group of 15 women. 2 hrs before the event I get a call from the restaurant trying to change our table. At the dinner the food was cold and the food also took so long to arrive. Acoustics are horrible you had to yell at dinner and the atmosphere is old and tired. I get it’s a historical mansion but it seriously needs an update.
After a lighthearted evening watching & Juliet, we made our way to Scaddabush for some Italian comfort food. All of EnD Adventures was together — our daughters, friends, and the two of us — which already set the tone for a memorable night out. Despite the restaurant being packed, we were seated quickly. Our server, Noah, stopped by early with menus and the nightly specials. It was clear the entire team was hustling; drinks took longer than usual, but Noah was doing everything he could to keep the pace. The space itself was a delight. Warm lighting, thoughtful décor, and those whimsical canned vegetables added a quirky charm that made the room feel inviting and full of character. There was always something interesting to notice. The fresh mozzarella — their signature — absolutely lived up to its reputation. Creamy, rich, and beautifully prepared, it was easily the standout of the table. Our meals arrived hot and exactly as ordered, and everyone enjoyed their choices. The only real downside was the long gaps between check-ins for drink refills or questions. With several large tables nearby and the restaurant buzzing, it was understandable, though still noticeable. All in all, it was a lovely evening, and we’d happily return — perhaps to a quieter location next time, just to see how the service feels when the pace isn’t quite so intense. $5 glasses of wine every day from 5pm to 9pm. Always a great atmosphere and good food specials. Be careful not to drink too much wine :)
100 % when I go to the any Vietnamese restaurants , I just order the Pho and spring roll quick eat and leave , do not care much any decor or fancy menu , one of my Vietnamese client hear that I am a very fussy foodie , so they invite me for dinner last night , it is almost three years since my last visit , still very modern upscale and bright ambiance , very busy almost packed , little noisy that my liking , and the tablets too close together , not very relax or comfortable , but very creative traditional Vietnamese menu with a touch of French far style cooking , it is not a cheap place for Vietnamese food , almost double the price from another Vietnamese's restaurant , average price for Pho is between $20 to $25 , outside most you pay is $16 , again , lot of foods for 4 people , the best dishes is the Soft crab salad , a classic dishes very colourful and tasty and the Meat platter very flavourful , also the shrimp pancake not too bad , very top end quality , I all way tell people , you pay what you get , no wonder is one of the Michelin restaurant recommended it , I thank my client for a wonderful meal , would I come back ? not likely , too noisy and not relaxing place to enjoy your meal , special just for Pho and too expensive and waiting time over half hours , foods is excellent , but you know what people say " Different stroke for different folks " okay to try it out , if you have not been to any upscale Vietnamese restaurants in Vancouver . service is okay . I love their excellent idea for reservation by donation program !

The Facebook Asian guy suggesting this place is way off!! Do not believe and Facebook posts about this place!! The interior was 1970s and the food was nothing to brag about! Our server was a Chinese comedian that requested cash for a 5% discount, so they don't pay their taxes for sure!! I would not go back to this place again!!! We were entertaining guests from the US and this place was not what I expected!! This is 4 out of 10 Save your money!!

Had such a great St. Paddy’s celebration here! 🍀 We came with a table of 10 and everything was fantastic — delicious food, great drinks, and amazing service even though it was busy. The atmosphere was fun and lively, making it the perfect spot to celebrate. Can’t wait to come back! 🍻

The atmosphere was nice. Had to walk up two levels of stairs, but was greeted by hostess. Asked to sit at bar as I was solo. The environment was loud, with people laughing and talking and with the overhead music. I was watching media on my iPhone which was hard to hear because of all the noise. When some blonde lady tapped me on my shoulder and rudely said we can hear your phone. The bar was packed with a couple on both sides of me didn’t seem to mind. The Bartenders didn’t seem to mind or I’m sure they would have politely asked me to lower or turn my phone off. Ordered the Baseball steak with garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Potatoes good. Vegetables could have been more. The steak says it’s cooked medium rare or less. Ordered medium rare it came more medium. Didn’t resemble a baseball steak at all.
