"I recently ordered breakfast for delivery from Lark Bistro through Just Eat while visiting a friend in Dublin. The estimated delivery time was 20 minutes, but after waiting over an hour and a half, I called the restaurant to inquire about the delay. I was informed that the road near the restaurant was closed for the Dublin marathon, preventing delivery drivers from accessing the area. The staff member I spoke to mentioned that there were around 10 orders waiting for collection, but no drivers could pick them up due to the road closure. When I asked why they were accepting orders if they knew delivery would be impossible, the response I received was dismissive – I was told, "it's not my problem," before the call was abruptly ended. Restaurants on Just Eat have the option to decline orders, and on a day with known delivery issues, it’s disappointing that Lark Bistro continued to accept orders, leaving customers waiting without any proactive communication. This experience felt unprofessional and frustrating, and I hope they reconsider their approach to handling orders during similar events in the future."
***STAY AWAY*** Ordered this for the family for the first time yesterday evening and we have all been ill since. Went to the shop today to say it to the manager and I was told "Go to your doctor and get a blood test". Terrible service and absolute slop served.
**AVOID AT ALL COSTS*** rang for 2 spice bags and a sweet and sour sauce . Rang back 20 mins later to make sure they had the correct number the man on the phone said the drive was just leaving. Bear in mind I’m not from around this area me and my ms are visiting our sick child in crumlin hospital . Having ate all day we’re looking forward to a nice Chinese . Was waiting an hour an 10 mins I rang them back and they said the driver forgot my order can I wait another 10 mins. Such poor service . Please avoid at all cost wouldn’t waste my time on taking a risk especially if your not from around here.
"Delicious food with an explosion of flavors! Such a great place with a lovely atmosphere. The service was absolutely amazing. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their delicious dishes!"
10/10 outstanding. Cannot wait to return. Service was wonderful
10/10! Nice when you’ve heard good things about a restaurant and it exceeds expectations. Lovely place, quite small so I’d recommend making a reservation. New lunch menu is incredible value for the standard of food and service. The waiter/manager was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. I can recommend the chicken & scallops, the hake with mussels and the salted caramel tart with vanilla ice cream. Divine. Looking forward to visiting again soon! Another visit in January 2025. So good again! The staff are really welcoming, kind & accommodating to solo diners, which is must appreciated! I had the Halibut for mains & Sticky Toffee Pudding to follow - both delicious. The spuds with truffle dip should be illegal, they are so good! And I have never tasted carrots like the Orwell Road carrots. Thank you for a lovely evening!
It’s been just over a week since my visit to Boeuf & Frites, and I haven’t stopped talking about it since. The food was absolutely outstanding, easily some of the best I’ve ever had. That said, our experience didn’t start off on the right foot. A week before our visit, I called to confirm whether the location was wheelchair accessible. I was assured that it was. I also included a note with our reservation stating that one of our party would either be using mobility aids or a wheelchair. I even followed up 24 hours in advance to confirm it would, in fact, be a wheelchair, and again, I was told it wouldn’t be an issue. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case when we arrived. We were left waiting while staff scrambled to set up a table near the bar, which felt like an afterthought. It was awkwardly close to other diners and made us feel like we were in the way. Things got worse when our wheelchair user needed an accessible restroom. The corridor was too narrow for the chair, and the bathroom itself had to be cleared of staff belongings (bags, etc...) before it could be used. Thankfully, our guest had some mobility and I was able to assist them, but it was far from ideal and quite disheartening after being told the venue was accessible. All that said, the food truly was phenomenal. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection, hands down the best I’ve had in a restaurant. And the garlic bread? I would honestly come back just for that. It was that good. I only wish I’d been given accurate accessibility information ahead of time. If I had, I would have chosen a different location. Boeuf might deliver on flavour, but it still has a long way to go in terms of accessibility and inclusivity.
-Portion sizes were too exiguous and absolutely overpriced in proportion. I felt some sort of embarassment both when looking at the menu and after being served. -Excessive wait for the main course. Taste was good and as expected. -I didn't feel at ease seating beside a curtain. To summarize the experience, my partner and I, we were disappointed and the experience was meaningless.
... ok, maybe a text message saying "Avoid"... Not very happy at all about this place. Service snotty, pursed lips and all. The mussles where boring and bland. It's not advanced cuisine, this dish, and I have had better mussles and fries for half the prize many times in other places. The fries had that boring run-of-the-mill generic "grill seasoning" that you buy in supermarkets. And that's probably where they found the fries too by the way. The starter with Fried calamari was good but you had to pay extra 2,50 euros... You got three of them on a plate and that was it. Farcical. It's not cosy, just a bit sloppy and at the same time pretentious. It's dirty, a bit greasy and the decor is dated. The food isn't cooked with love and the portions are too small. They have 10% automatic service charge too, not worth it. The bill was risible, very expensive for that kind of bland, uninspired dishes. Avoid.
'Pickel is an amazing restaurant and a must try', we have heard this a thousands of times from different people. Yesterday I finally came here with my partner. We are foodies and we love food dates and hogging. We went half an hour early than the time we actually booked the table at because we were feeling very hungry and eager to get an experience. We were expecting some trouble but surprisingly the manager and the staff warmly welcomed us and gave us a table. That was a good start of the day. All the staff was so welcoming and polite. They served everything on time and explained all the dishes with its sauces and sides. We also observed that the communication between the manager and the staff was really strong. We started our day by trying Prawns tandoori which had a great garnishing and the avocado sauce with it, had such a smooth texture and was really very tasty and Achari chicken tikka in the starters. Prawns tandoori was good but chicken tikka was so so authentic and had a perfect Indian food taste which we had not yet got in any other Indian Restaurant before in Ireland. It's so mouth watering and comes with a perfectly garnished mint sauce and a small base of chopped onions, beans, pomegranate and a tasty sauce and pickled onion, I don't remember the name of the sauce but that was amazing and juicy, I definitely would recommend everyone not to leave the restaurant before trying it. Next we tried the Pickel's chicken biryani and it's famous Farmer's butter chicken with Dehli wala naan (best and perfect of all, in Ireland) and masala chilli cheese naan which again brought happy tears into our eyes because we could remember our favorite restaurant's taste from Mumbai. Biriyani was very nice and we could taste all the different flavours in it clearly and both the raita and the sauce with it were mouth watering as well. And the butter chicken (we asked them to make it spicy for us as usual) was the best again out of all the other restaurants in Ireland that we have tried. It is again a must try. We wanted to get some more dishes but we were felling stuffed already. So we decided to order dessert. We tried the gulab jamun which was nicely garnished and was good and warm. We also tried it's Kesar kulfi falooda, bruh it was soo delicious, we could not stop eating it even when we were feeling so stuffed. Later we also wanted to try the Chocolate Ferrero as it was described so nicely on the menu. It did not really match our expectations as written in the menu, as it was a tiny piece but was really tasty and very well garnished. Special thanks to chef Sunil and all the other chefs for such an amazing food. It was an excellent experience and really made our day very much special. We had a good amount of bill as well, as we already knew it won't be cheap. But to be very honest, the food was worth the money. Our next hogging will be at Street food by Sunil and we are definitely going to come back hear soon. We couldn't leave a good tip for them this time but next time I would definitely give them better for their service as they deserve it. Most recommended. Thank you.
10/10 experience! The ambiance is unmatched. It is cool, relaxed, modern, yet comforting all at the same time! The dishes were nostalgic, delicious, cozy, and fresh! I got the sea bass which was fantastic! Also, what made the experience top notch was our lovely waiter, Edward! He really made our experience special.
10/10 for food 10/10 for decor 10/10 for service I had the best food I’ve had for a very long time! Highly recommend.

Me and 5 of my friends were really excited to go to this place after booking a reservation. However, on the door we were denied entry by Kevin and got told our reservation is going to get cancelled. The reason being was one of my friends rocking up with a can of cider that she was just about to finish before entering the venue. When discussing the situation Kevin was rude and commented that some of us looked drunk. I personally find that very disappointing to assume since all of us could speak and walk just fine. No one gave any signs of being drunk so I am not sure where he came up with that conclusion. All we were trying to do is have a nice meal and drink after sightseeing in Dublin. Since it was St’Patricks week, I am sure we weren’t the only ones enjoying a drink while strolling through Dublin and not the only ones he turned away, hope Kevin is happy to contribute to other restaurants making profit but the one he is working at. We went to The Old Mill afterwards and we 100% recommend!!

I don't normally write reviews, but my family was so looking forward to this meal in Dublin I felt it was appropriate to share my experience, as it was not anywhere near expectation. If you don't feel like reading down, i recommend going to a pub instead and having a meal there, you will have a better experience and save a lot of time and money. We are a family of 5, we booked a table ahead of time and checked in. We were most looking forward to the views and the set dinner menu (as advertised on the website). We were seated at a table with the views of a building under construction... The "Set Dinner Menu" was not available according to our server, so please don't plan on it. I will say our server was actually lovely, and extremely friendly. The children's menu is very limited, and well... the food is even more so... One of my daughters ordered the burger, and it came out to be so over cooked, it was hard to bite through, the burger buns were rock hard and it tasted very strange. I ordered the filet and was so small in size, for $55 plus $3 for the butter, it was underwhelming to say the least. And my wife's salmon was tasteless. The meal itself took almost 2 hours, we felt at times we were just waiting... We did tell the server the burger was not good, and to their credit they took it off the bill which we appreciated, but the experience itself was well under what we thought it would be. Overall, I would say give Ryleigh's a miss if you're looking for a really nice meal out. Dublin's pubs serve better food at a much higher standard.
