Dishonestly lists it's menu prices by adding a resteruant set fee to the price. If they were honest they advertise the true price.
-deep fried taro balls - okay, not crispy or flavorful or salty in any way. Needs sauce -tsukune yaki - delicious, super flavorful and meat-like -vegan tomato ramen - tasty -Vegan Bento box - 7/10 good, just wish there was some substantial protein somewhere. Also smaller note, wish everything wasn't fully deep fried. Love the amount of vegan options, hope they become fully vegan someday!
...Beginning of update... The amount of food they serve has decreased to a noticeable extent. What's worse: the service has really gone downhill: with the restaurant being half empty, I was refused a seat even in a 2-person table. I had to wait for a space at the bar. After much consideration, I left the restaurant. Service is really essential to a dining experience. ...End of update... I must admit that I found it difficult to review this restaurant. This is because I have never spent so little money (less than $20, pre-tip) and felt so full at a Japanese restaurant: the amount they gave was truly surprising. Yet, Japanese restaurants are quite different from, say, Chinese restaurants, in that Japanese restaurants typically serve minute amounts of food, that which is highly delicate (sometimes it's the taste of the food, and sometimes it's the arrangement of the foods, and sometimes it's both, such as kaiseki, a traditional Japanse multi-course dinner). Therefore, if I were to judge the food they serve by the standard of being delicate, I would have to deduct a star or two, as the food here have no connection to either meaning of delicate, as aforementioned. With that said, I do think this place gives good, or even great, value if you don't judge its food by how delicate the food is. As is evident from my photo, although the salmon was on the smaller side, the amount of tempura was ample, as was the amount of salad and rice on the side. I don't want to reiterate, but I was truly astonished to barely being able to finish my plate. In all due fairness, it is possible that their sushi or sashimi are delicate, but as I didn't order any, I can't comment on those. Speaking of which, they offer combination plates known as A+A, A+B, and B+B, where A is some cooked item, and B is some raw item, and the more B there is, the more expensive the combination plate is. Although the place is quite small, and I don't like the divider at the entrance, service was good and prompt. What I like the most about the service, however, is how the waitress chose to look away while I was signing the credit card charge slip, and deciding how much to tip. At some restaurants, the servers literally stare at you and react based on how much you are tipping. I know how some servers depend on tips to make a living wage, but I really appreciate that this waitress wasn't giving me any pressure to tip: because I felt so comfortable, I tipped even more than I usually would.

Great food!
"Terrible" rating as we were asked to leave. Otherwise, our rating would have been five-star. We had a wonderful meal with an amazing Italian wine. The food was delicious and enjoyed by all. The service was friendly and excellent until we were asked to leave to make way for another party who arrived with 6 rather than the 2 people expected. After such a fine meal, this "polite" request was shocking. We had enjoyed the meal to that point and tipped generously for about a $300 bill, during less than a two hour stay. If I'd known we would be asked to leave, the tip would have been $0.02! This is NOT the way any restauraunt, specially, a fine food restauraunt treats their diners. We had talked about making this one of our go-to places. It may be acceptable to the owners to treat tourists like this, but we live in San Francisco and have many friends in the city who dine out frequently. (We will talk to them about our experience.)
... the kitchen shuts at 9:30 so they want you out asap! Got there and ordered by 9:15, food came out 5 minutes later and was warm and dry, obviously not cooked to order - avoid this place if you want to find somewhere to eat good quality food late (and I’ve not even mentioned the hair in the food).
.....served by chinese. They‘re trying hard to be a thai restaurant, but the thai food is prepared differently from the chinese. They just could not match the thai flavors in the foods.
You.must.eat.here. First, let’s get this out of the way. If you are looking for a romantic and intimate place, you will have to go elsewhere. This place is LOUD. With crowded seating, I was a part of three different conservations and it wasn’t pleasant. I’d recommend sitting at the end of the bar to minimize the noise pollution. And the drinks. If you are looking for stellar mixologist-inventions, this again, is not your place. Ok. Now that’s out of the way. I’ll say it again. EAT. HERE. We had the dried porcini donuts, chicken liver banh mi, the aged beef wonton, tonnarelli sea urchin (with their in-house made gluten free pasta) and the steak. It was all exceptional (minus the pasta which was good but not exceptional). This is my most memorable meal all year, by far. What sticks out to me is that everything was seasoned perfectly and the flavors were pleasantly vibrant. The two things that REALLY stuck out were the donuts and banh mi. They both were extraordinary and are two small bite plates that you should definitely order. I am looking forward to returning again and again.
Exactly what we were looking for! Authentic Chinese food! Offered jasmine tea as soon as we were seated soooo good... Enjoyed the bok cho, pot stickers, Mongolian beef, wonton soup and bbq pork fried rice. Perfect food experience. Room was cozy, had a cute table next to window. Staff went out of there way to give us a great experience! Loved it thanks for the jasmine tea and hot pepper to go :)
Thank you Mr. Francis Ford Coppola for this charming place in SF Your spirit is definitely here The service is very professional The Italian food here is authentic We are definitely in Roma The plate of charcuterie and cheese delicious The Gorgonzola, the Taleggio and the prosciutto sublime. We love the Inglenook Cab..!!! Do not forget the Tiramisu .. mamamia.. A must in San Francisco

Must order the Birria Quesadilla!! The lively atmosphere and unique outside vibe add to a fun evening out. To be fair this is my re-posted review from 4 years ago. I copied it before closing my other account: Avoid the crab empanada wasn’t bad but not noteworthy. Avoid the tres leches cake, it was not edible, 3 of us took a bite and all agreed it tasted like a fridge and the contents inside a fridge.

For a semi late night spot the pizza & Italian fare are top tier. They’re an offshoot of the former Zero Zero Pizzeria; the quality never changed. Chewy perfectly cooked crust, great pastas & service. Good drinks and excellent daily specials menu! Mushroom soup was A++ but for some reason they don’t do a carbonara! 🤷♂️ Dining room can be cramped if they get super busy in the evenings- just FYI
