"World's Most Expensive Bodega" 100% saw a mouse running through the store this morning when I needed to pick up a couple things. Everything is so expensive, and the selection continues to dwindle.. especially if you are vegan/vegetarian. Many of the shops and features that made this place semi worth it have been closed down indefinitely.
$5 a doughnut is too expensive.
-reuben - 8/10 very good, the only downside was the vegan ham was not good, too soft and lacking texture. -eggplant Parm - okay. def not salty enough and wasn't cooked enough, should be very soft in my opinion -beet poke - 8/10 very good -daal - 7/10 good -Neatball masala - 9.5/10 delicious -crispy chicken sandwich - 9.5/10 delicious but pricey for what you get -breakfast sandwich - 9.8/10 excellent - breakfast platter - 8.5/10 great -Impossible burger- 8.9/10 great -Kale caesar- 9.6/10 excellent -Carrot pumpkin soup - 9.8/10 excellent -love at first bite burger - 9.8/10 excellent -Pineapple burger seasonal-- 9.8/10 excellent -Spring salad with added chicken-- great -spicy arrabbiata-- great -tuk tuk burger - -Al pastor - 7/10 good -tuk tuk burger - 8.5/10 great -potato & leek soup - 8.5/10 great -macho libre burger (seasonal) - 9/10 great Fully vegan place! And decent prices
...Beginning of update... The amount of food they serve has decreased to a noticeable extent. What's worse: the service has really gone downhill: with the restaurant being half empty, I was refused a seat even in a 2-person table. I had to wait for a space at the bar. After much consideration, I left the restaurant. Service is really essential to a dining experience. ...End of update... I must admit that I found it difficult to review this restaurant. This is because I have never spent so little money (less than $20, pre-tip) and felt so full at a Japanese restaurant: the amount they gave was truly surprising. Yet, Japanese restaurants are quite different from, say, Chinese restaurants, in that Japanese restaurants typically serve minute amounts of food, that which is highly delicate (sometimes it's the taste of the food, and sometimes it's the arrangement of the foods, and sometimes it's both, such as kaiseki, a traditional Japanse multi-course dinner). Therefore, if I were to judge the food they serve by the standard of being delicate, I would have to deduct a star or two, as the food here have no connection to either meaning of delicate, as aforementioned. With that said, I do think this place gives good, or even great, value if you don't judge its food by how delicate the food is. As is evident from my photo, although the salmon was on the smaller side, the amount of tempura was ample, as was the amount of salad and rice on the side. I don't want to reiterate, but I was truly astonished to barely being able to finish my plate. In all due fairness, it is possible that their sushi or sashimi are delicate, but as I didn't order any, I can't comment on those. Speaking of which, they offer combination plates known as A+A, A+B, and B+B, where A is some cooked item, and B is some raw item, and the more B there is, the more expensive the combination plate is. Although the place is quite small, and I don't like the divider at the entrance, service was good and prompt. What I like the most about the service, however, is how the waitress chose to look away while I was signing the credit card charge slip, and deciding how much to tip. At some restaurants, the servers literally stare at you and react based on how much you are tipping. I know how some servers depend on tips to make a living wage, but I really appreciate that this waitress wasn't giving me any pressure to tip: because I felt so comfortable, I tipped even more than I usually would.
10/10 highly recommend! Hotel Fiona was fantastic due in no small part to the service and hospitality of Karina, Sam, and Maya. They were so friendly and so helpful during our first trip to SF, and we will for sure be staying at the Fiona again should we ever return! Thank you very much!
$103 to valet your car. Absurd! This place seems more fit for conferences. Lots of homeless and drugs in this area. Very dirty. Plus everything is expensive as hell. No pool and they charge you a $30 destination charge and offer you a $30 credit for food and beverage. I drink at The View lounge is $24, so a couple has to spend $60 to get that credit. FYI, Ubers have a $35 minimum charge here.
$110 VALET! Hidden Charges!! Plus Service Charges! Unless you have to stay at this location, this valet service is really expensive. You do not find out until you check out. $110 daily. At no time did the valet disclose the cost of the charges
** LEAK ** ** HIDDEN TAX ** Already disastrous welcome the staff has the extremely unpleasant welcome , really average room for the price cleaning done to motivate it cleanliness to review + deposit of $80 per night in the hotel refund 1 month after + $32 per night tax to add to the room and the worst the parking advertised at $75 per day all tax included and at the time of Check out it asks you $10 tax to add far too much tax cache I do not recommend this hotel at all after a 28 day road trip these really the worst hotel we have made I do not recommend at all only possible point the location.
You.must.eat.here. First, let’s get this out of the way. If you are looking for a romantic and intimate place, you will have to go elsewhere. This place is LOUD. With crowded seating, I was a part of three different conservations and it wasn’t pleasant. I’d recommend sitting at the end of the bar to minimize the noise pollution. And the drinks. If you are looking for stellar mixologist-inventions, this again, is not your place. Ok. Now that’s out of the way. I’ll say it again. EAT. HERE. We had the dried porcini donuts, chicken liver banh mi, the aged beef wonton, tonnarelli sea urchin (with their in-house made gluten free pasta) and the steak. It was all exceptional (minus the pasta which was good but not exceptional). This is my most memorable meal all year, by far. What sticks out to me is that everything was seasoned perfectly and the flavors were pleasantly vibrant. The two things that REALLY stuck out were the donuts and banh mi. They both were extraordinary and are two small bite plates that you should definitely order. I am looking forward to returning again and again.
Perfect location to cruise port. Room was updated and clean. The ergonomics of the room was not the most efficient for our purpose. That would be chaise lounge under mounted tv etc. Close to restaurants and China town. Price was right. Would stay again Rooms5.0
We chose this restaurant for our first night in SF mainly for its location near our hotel, in the Pacific Heights area, and also because of the great reviews. We were not disappointed. Having enjoyed a light meal at an earlier cooking class, we were happy to have later reservations. When we arrived on foot, the valet attendant greeted us warmly and opened the door. The place was full! We arrived about 15 minutes prior to our reservation so we waited a bit. The bar was packed so we waited near the hostess stand. We were led to a lovely table just outside the front door in a small, toasty, fireplace-lit room! There was even a personalized birthday card waiting for me! With only four tables, it’s a charming and intimate room but for the table of five women loudly celebrating a birthday. Our server, Chase was THE BEST! Without us saying anything, he apologized for the noise, noting we had requested a quiet table in our reservation. He told us they were getting dessert menus but he could move us if we wanted. We declined and the loud ones soon departed. The food is beyond delicious! My husband chose the duck breast and said it was just as good as one he had in France, which is his measuring stick for duck! I had the special John Dory and it was so moist and flavorful! Both were presented in such unique styles! Mine had a layer of scalloped potatoes that appeared to look like scales. Toasted just right, this layer provided a shield to keep the fish perfectly moist. A choice of breads, tasty amuse bouche, an amazing taste of the Sunchoke bisque made us regret not ordering a larger bowl for dinner, too! We ended with decadent beignets and a surprise slice of birthday confetti cake rounded out a perfect evening. We also appreciated the very extensive wine list and the way the sommelier brought our wines by the glass in the bottles and allowed us to taste a sip before pouring. In a city with so many great restaurants, this will forever be one of our favorites. Thank you so much for such a memorable evening! We can’t wait to return!

Went there a while ago after a show. It was close to evening so the restaurant wasn’t busy. We had high hopes given the Michelin Star rating. Ordered a pizza and an octopus appetiser. The pizza was just okay but it took 40 minutes to arrive, after we asked them about the pizza. However, the appetiser is so expensive and bad that the same thing from Costco would cost 1/3 and taste better. The octopus was so soft (not in a good way) and tasted very fishy, I wonder if it was properly prepped. I wouldn’t recommend unless you went there for the atmosphere which is the only upside.

Food lacked flavor overall, “Italian salsa” that the bread came with was a bit boring (would prefer bread to come with salsa as well as an oil or vinegar), burrata and prosciutto dish could use a carb to pair, pizza dough was 10/10, great atmosphere. I did not order gluten-free but appreciate that the option to alter the dish to be gf was not as expensive as other restaurants.

Terrible hotel. Rooms are small, dark, dirty, non-functional... no place to store clothes. The carpet in the entry was stained and dirty and set the tone. The restaurant staff was amazing was the only highlight.

Friendly & Great Customer Service. Secure place. Felt safe staying at the hotel especially with the druggies and a lot of homeless out on the street . You had to use your key to access the hotel. Uber & Waymo was very accessible and within walking distance to areas I had to visit. I wish they had a shuttle to the airport. The bedrooms where a little small but Overall, quiet atmosphere, comfortable beds.
