I strongly recommend staying away from this venue. My experiences with the staff at Sugar and Tea Room were extremely disappointing, and it seems clear that something in their management or operations has changed. This may explain why fewer classy, self-respecting patrons appear to be attending compared to the past. I used to visit these venues frequently, but on one occasion I was abruptly escorted out without any explanation. I later heard from others that if you are not continuously purchasing drinks, staff may single you out and ask you to leave. I am not a heavy drinker, but had I been treated with basic respect, I would have gladly spent full evenings there enjoying dinner and supporting the business. On previous visits, security staff would oddly sit next to me and ask if I was “okay,” as if there were an issue when there clearly wasn’t. On another occasion, I was simply told to leave with no explanation whatsoever. I am a well-dressed, respectful, and well-groomed individual, and the only apparent reason for this treatment seemed to be that I was not repeatedly purchasing overpriced drinks or reserving a table. Look out for a short mini version of Jackie Chan looking staff who goes around taking notes and passing the message to security. Staff constantly patrol and watch guests throughout the venue, which creates an uncomfortable atmosphere and discourages patrons from ordering at their own pace. Instead of feeling relaxed and welcomed, I felt pressured and unwelcome. Additionally, having previously worked closely with city code compliance, I noticed that the hallway connecting Sugar and Tea Room appears far too narrow during their over-capacity weekend nights. In the event of an emergency, this could potentially present a serious fire hazard. I am unsure whether the city or fire department is aware of this issue. I am a reasonable and respectful person, and I would not have posted this review had management simply provided an explanation or apology after I reached out privately. I did receive an initial response saying they would follow up, but no further communication ever came. Brickell now offers many better options, and I have been treated far more professionally at other venues. Until I receive a sincere apology and a genuine welcome back, I see no reason to remove this review or return.
10/10 recommend. I would fly to back in a heartbeat just to eat here and enjoy the friendly service again. After having terrible experiences at two other restaurants we found Mike's and met the most amazing person (Aly) in the whole land. Not only was the service impeccable but the food was some of the best I had on my entire vacation. Huge portions and normal priced menu. Great atmosphere with NICE people!
Absolute rip off - we had two Pina Colada and 1 Glass White wine = 180$ We even got charged for tap water. Nice environment but the prices are not normal, even for the area
Absolutely Overpriced - 71 Dollars for Two Beers, Two Lemonades and 1 (1) plate of French fries and some fried shrimps called "Seafood Combo" is out of any range. Tourist Trap... Be careful.
Airport food is expensive but this is excessive and ridiculous. $55 for two people, one salad, one small sandwich, one drink, one beer. Look for another place on the concourse unless you can't stand having cash in your wallet.
1 true American restaurant concept, traditional and picturesque. Good quality food and drink, prices are reasonable considering the reality of Miami. The service could be a little more attentive and genuine, you can see the primacy of wanting to sell but I already think it's a little cultural. On repeat
Able to get some good poolside snacks and lunch here. Drinks were ok and its handy to be able to get meal service poolside. There is a happy hour with special prices.

Tried to overcharge my friend for 6 green tea shots, 232 total. I paid 90 for the same amount 30 minutes prior. Staff on duty tried to argue that she didn’t have to return the receipt I gave her for a comparison with what they tried charging him. Takes advantage of tipsy customers, and that reflects on the quality of the bar. Also gross bathrooms. EDIT: Owner also likes to lie when called out apparently. At no time did we order a double. In fact she was arguing at the time that we tried to order green tea shots with something besides Jameson and that justified the price increase.

I’ve never been to a restaurant where the women in the restroom are not always there to use the restroom, but are there to take pictures in the restroom! Hilarious, but that’s how overly detailed the design of the restaurant is. Beautifully detailed in every way, and worth the experience, this restaurant is like a tourist attraction lol. The food was delicious - short rib, fried rice (with corn), baby chicken, pork skewer and more are well seasoned. Be ready to spend a nice amount of money. Bill for 3 ladies with shared plates came to $300 easy and we were conservative. Try it, enjoy it, take pictures wherever you are and then you can check it off your list. Oh, and make a reservation!

This restaurant is was a bad experience because in the menu is one price and when you already pay, it’s another price they put the high prices inthe receipt is not mach to the menu. If you get something like spicy sauce it’s extra when the other restaurants don’t charge for that and if you get a drink and you say you want the alcohol at the side, they charge you the alcohol with is supposed to come with the drink and if you give you the tip cash they anyway charge you in the credit card that why I don’t come back and the food is not really high-quality for the high prices

A really nice steakhouse in Brickell. Visited on a Tuesday and had the Tomahawk. Excellent value for money. All courses were fantastic and the service by Li was excellent. Very hospitable and helpful throughout the evening. Would recommend and would visit again.
