14 days stay in December 2025. This hotel needs more service staff. Customers suffer with overcrowded breakfast area and items unfilled. Long wait times for rooms to be cleaned. One of the two elevators out of service for 6 days and counting. Pool has been closed for tiling work. Staff tries their best, but needs more help.
A 4-star hotel that has gone downhill. After a trip through the USA, and having stayed in several hotels, this was the least welcoming, and it bothers me being a Spanish chain. The rooms were small, giving a great sense of claustrophobia. After showering, the room had turned into a kind of greenhouse due to the humidity; the walls need painting due to the scuffs from time. The best part was the breakfast and the views from the rooftop, spectacular.
Aesthetically the property is very nice from the inside and outside. The beds were comfortable. The linens were nice, and the rooms and lobby area were very modern and clean looking. I only stayed one night to catch a morning flight. They close the breakfast 10 minutes early. I asked the front desk why. He said are they out of food? I said no. And that was the end of that. The breakfast was as expected for a free breakfast served on Styrofoam plates. None of the ice machines were working. I woke up to water under my bathroom sink. As i was leaving A staff member in the hall told me the room next to me, left their water running and caused a flood. It took me at least 20 minutes to check in because they only had one person working and he was frazzled, and when he called for help, no one helped him. Despite other employees and what seem to be managers, walking around seeing a line of three customers deep. And, let’s not forget the incessant noise. Airplanes taking off literally every 10 or 20 minutes. And they are loud! Airplanes, train horns, automobile traffic. It was not a restful night of sleep. I would never stay here again. And, when choosing this hotel, I could not believe none of the reviews mentioned the airplane noise.
Absolutely amazing hotel stay before my cruise. This hotel is clean, convenient to shopping and plenty of restaurants/bars. Walking distance to a Publix, the mall, bakery, etc. The hotel checkin is on the 6th floor, the first floor is mainly a seating area and concierge. They offer free hot breakfast, mini fridge and microwave in the room, cruise shuttle at time of this review is priced at $12 with pick up times at 10a, 11a, and 12p. If you miss breakfast, they had breakfast bags with fruit and other grab and go items. You will need your room key to access the laundry room and guest floors. There is no carpet in the room I was in (basic king- not the elite level) and pets are not allowed. Service animals only. The hotel has a lobby bar, three restaurants are located right next door (Sproutz, Batch Gastropub, and Shahs of Kabob). I dined at Sproutz and Shahas of Kabob and both are good, but they are not affiliated with the hotel. I stayed 3 nights prior to my cruise and I really enjoyed my stay. The air conditioner worked with no issues, pillows are very soft, bed was firm, but not uncomfortable and I slept better in that bed, than my own. There is a master light switch to control the overhead light in the entry and bathroom. You can operate them separately (it just takes some flipping of lights to figure it out). Decent water pressure and nice, hot water at night. Morning time I suggest getting your shower in early. Hot water is still present but not as hot as it was the night before. Tip- I took my shower at 5/6am the morning of checkout and the water was hot and perfect for a nice shower before leaving for cruise. Staff was always smiling, friendly and willing to assist. Carlos at the concerige desk is very helpful, ask for his recommendations and he is more than happy to assist. The 7th floor has the laundry facility, but many machines were out of order. This is going on my pre cruise hotel list because it was the perfect hotel and the perfect location. It was about a 15min ride to the cruise port and airport. The cruise port ride was booked for 8am, so I beat the 9am bumper car cruise port traffic.
Absolutely great hotel. We were upgraded immediately upon arrival and the room was super large and had a great view from the 19th floor. The Atwell rooms only start on the 16th floor, so you always have a great view here. Breakfast and bar on the 24th floor are accordingly also great. The hotel is super connected to all possible public transport. And accordingly also easily reachable from the airport. I can warmly recommend it!
Absolutely love the hotel, the staff and the location. Paula helped us out during breakfast- she was incredible. Super helpful and kind. We will be coming back to this hotel- the rooms are amazing and clean as well.
20% Tip 🤬 The hotel was really nice,, I just didnt like how they charge you 20% mandatory tip in breakfast,, it shouldnt be like that
3 star level hotel, very old building inside and outside The location is nice but not outstanding. The hotel is very old, they are closing for good in May 2025. We spent Christmas Eve at this hotel, paid for an upgrade. The rooms are old but for that they are fine. The pool area is a disaster, like a bad 3 star hotel. The sunbeds are squeezed in to a small area most of them touching side by side. The staff is not 5 star level trained, long waiting at breakfast for a table. Even if your breakfast is included you will be charged for water, coffee and other basic breakfast items. We spent almost 2k and it was a waste of money. Even after complaining all you get is pointless discussion and not one gesture.
5 Star location but not a 5 star experience Positive comments are that the Hotel Victor is in a great location in an Art Deco building just a short walk to the beach. The hotel is pleasant, clean and the room we were in was extremely spacious. Less positive comments are no towel rails in the bathroom. A heated towel rail would be preferable but do understand the limitations in installing these. However a simple towel rail would be possible to install. There also could be more hangers in the wardrobe to accommodate a couple’s clothes. I don’t know if the hotel is short staffed but for a hotel which purports to be 5 star, guests should not be expected to return to their room at midday to find that it still has not been cleaned. While it was stated that rooms are cleaned from 9.30 to 4.30, I do not think that is a 5 star service. The pool area is very pleasant though the sun beds could do with being replaced as some are ripped or have holes in them. Umbrellas could be proved for guests. We were unfortunate to stay during inclement weather. A hotel in London charged around $4/day which could be possible if free umbrellas would be too costly. The breakfast provided by the American Bar next door was OK though the quality of the sourdough bread was poor. This will be reviewed separately. While the Hotel Victor was very pleasant in such an iconic location, it is definitely not a 5 star establishment so I was a little disappointed.
10/10 10/10 taking into account what you pay for. One of the best gyms I’ve seen for a hotel of this caliber. Great continental breakfast, gorgeous pool, and pool area. Don’t stress about the $25 parking fee, there’s plenty of free parking right outside the hotel, it’s a safe area. Rooms are very nice, and very clean. Great customer service, all receptionist I interacted with treated me with grace.
10/10 Victor was super helpful and sweet when getting breakfast!
10/10Positive Vibes From the first impression I felt positive vibes. The best part of the service at AKA Hotel was the breakfast team (Jesse/Hannah,) super helpful, exceptional behavior providing top_notch care.I especially want to shout out Leandro(Manager) always willing to help, and very kind, even in a challenging environment.

We stayed here for 2 nights due to the proximity to Bascom Palmer for my child's medical appointments. I will never bring them back to this hotel. Our room had a strong odor to it, like stale sweaty body odor. The couch was filthy and cushions were torn, and the bedding was stained and covered in hair/debris. You can tell their cleaning staff is not doing a good job because there was plenty of old stains on the floors and walls that had obviously been there for a while and the floors hadn't been vacuumed. The most alarming part of our stay was that my son got a carton of milk in the breakfast area and poured it on his cereal and realized it had gone bad. I notified the breakfast attendant and he said they would throw all the milk out at the end of the breakfast service. Who knows how many other people were served sour/curdled milk. I emailed the manager and got a written apology, but nothing more. The only positive was that the front desk staff was friendly.

I visited with my family from Bolivia and we had an excellent experience. The valet parking service was very good; we especially want to thank Juan Serna and Diego for their attention and kindness. We also enjoyed the pool area, and Sergio came over to ensure that everything was fine and that we were comfortable. That level of attention made us feel at home. Without a doubt, we would return many times and we recommend this hotel for its excellent service and hospitality. This year it was more expensive and we liked the buffet less.
