**UPDATE** - In Response to the Owner's Response I’m extremely disappointed that your response mischaracterizes what actually happened during our stay and that your staff continues to gaslight us about our level of communication the night we discovered the stain and at checkout the morning after. To clarify the facts: as soon as we discovered that the fitted sheet appeared dirty, we immediately called the front desk and were met with no response. We also sent someone from our party down to the front desk to check whether there was anyone who could help us change the sheets. We saw someone at the front desk and 100% communicated that there was an issue we needed help with. This was absolutely not the “general inquiry” that you claim it to be. The staff member then responded saying he was a part of the security team and that there was nobody who could help change the cover until the next morning. My friend was left to sleep on what appeared to be a brown stained mattress without knowing what it was. At checkout, our concern only appeared "informative" because your staff showed complete indifference to our legitimate complaint. We were urgent when we needed help the night before, but by morning we were dealing with staff who clearly didn't care about our subpar experience. While you may have explanations for the stain, that doesn't erase the 24 hours my friend spent not knowing what it was or the distress of having to sleep on it. Your $50 offer and dismissal of our request for partial compensation shows a fundamental misunderstanding of the impact this had on our stay and the dissatisfaction from our party regarding the poor attempts to address our concerns only after the initial review was posted. It’s concerning that your response suggests this matter has been "resolved" when it clearly hasn't been addressed competently. Even if the stain was simply caused by a rusty mattress frame, every single effort from us to bring up this issue has been met with absolute indifference and frustrating attempts to distort and deny the facts when all we were hoping for was a simple apology and acknowledgement that things could have been handled better. Misrepresenting what happened doesn't solve the real issue: your lack of responsiveness when guests need help and empathy when things go wrong. ****Future guests should be aware: if issues arise during your stay, don't expect timely assistance or understanding from management when you need it most.**** **INITIAL REVIEW** Stayed here with friends last weekend and it was absolutely awful. When we pulled out the sofa bed, there was a brown stain right on one side of the mattress - completely disgusting. Called the front desk but no one was available to fix it, so we had to manage. The worst part? When we complained at checkout, the staff couldn’t have cared less. No apology, no offer to make it right, just complete indifference. For what we paid, this is unacceptable. Basic cleanliness shouldn’t be too much to ask for. Save your money and stay literally anywhere else in Vancouver - this place is gross and the service is terrible. Avoid at all costs.
-two locations on the carpet of my room that remained wet for the whole day of my check-in. One smelled like vinegar and the other one was in front of the mini fridge and was sticky. -there was some water on the bathroom floor which got on my big toe, I wiped my toe on the bath towel and it left a black toe print (still only a few hours after checking in). Maybe the floors are hard to clean because the mortar between the tiles are disintegrating. -random crumbs between my fresh bedsheets -breakfast sucks. The only protein is cold ham. No sausage no bacon no eggs. Even the hot chocolate is watery -whole hotel feels damp and outdated. Wouldn't pay $350 a night for this again
1 star is an absolute compliment to this place. Worst meal we’ve ever had. The indian guy at the kitchen seemed so joyful (not) serving the clients meals that I became depressed just by looking at him. My fork broke when I tried to cut the grilled chicken. The portions of chicken breast and rice are large enough to satisfy a 2 year-old chil. If you’re reading this review before going to this place - do not.
**Mixed Experience: Fantastic Location but Be Cautious with Valuables** I write this review with a balanced perspective, as my experience was mixed. Starting with the positives, the hotel is in a fantastic location in Chinatown, close to great eateries, opposite a lovely park, and conveniently near the subway. Our family room was enormous! The main area had one bed, a kitchenette where we could prepare meals, and a full-size fridge. There was also a bar with stools for us to sit at. Off to the side was a small alcove with a second bed. The room was clean, well-maintained, and although in need of a renovation, it offered plenty of space. Now for the negatives – we had a deeply concerning incident where our child's prescription medication went missing from our locked hotel room. While we acknowledge that we should have locked it in the safe before leaving for the day, the fact remains that it was gone when we returned that night. The hotel staff were helpful in searching the rubbish to ensure it wasn’t accidentally thrown out, but unfortunately, we ended up without our daughter's medications for a week. This situation was incredibly distressing and unacceptable as we had to lodge a formal police report at a local NYPD Precinct. Additionally, the hotel uses a centralized temperature control system, so you can't regulate the temperature in your own room. They keep it quite warm, making it hard to sleep comfortably. When they switch it to cool, it becomes very cold. Overall, while the hotel has many great qualities, I recommend keeping your valuables, including medications, securely locked up when staying here, as we found out that room security is not guaranteed.
- [ ] i stayed at the cloud two nights ago for my birthday, last minute decision but the best decision everrr! as soon as we came i knew this was it, the lobby is very luxurious and warm literally and figuratively. the front desk, demian and another were extremely nice and attentive with our stay. The hotel elevator only functions when you swipe your room card which made us feel completely safe. There's a beautifully designed bar / food area in the lobby that's great for breakfast, before going out, literally anything. We were on the third floor but it was still amazing! I was personally in a room that had a building blocking the view but even that was a nice view. the rooms are very demure, so gorgeous and clean, the windows are also beautiful and give rich and expensive. checkout time is only $10 an hour until 3pm which is a great price compared to other hotels. Anything we needed the hotel took care of it! There's baggage carry service, those employeesl were also very kind, professional, and just amazing overall so was all the other staff! there's so many amazing perks and amenities like the balcony and other things but i personally was too busy to use them! Unfortunately i was having too much fun to get my phone out and take any pictures it's actually been killing me because the hotel was truly amazingg!!! The area also has a lot of options for just about anything so great area as well. The stay was so amazing i tried to book a second night but they had booked up and also raised the price significantly overnight so beware of that when planning to book. Most definitely will be coming back to the cloud soon that's now my second home i actually just got to my real home and it doesn't even feel right! love you cloud ❤️ BOOK IT
11/10 Irish breakfast. Super kind staff with a good bit of charm to the place
Had booked a double room for 7 nights mid-September 2017. Hotel is 15 minutes walk from nearest subway ( Joyce Collingwood ), part uphill. A small hotel with ground and first floor ; probably 20 odd rooms in total. Complimentary parking in the basement. External look of the hotel is unappealing being on the main road(Kingsway); reception is small but presentable. Were checked into a large room which was dull. Room had 2 Queen beds as the only room available at the time. Dark brown furniture, walls, carpet and curtains. A free standing air conditioner, no wardrobe. Room smelt musty and had large window at the busy main road level hence lacked privacy. No kettle, but a coffee percolator, which was inadequate for boiling water for tea. Bathroom though small had been renovated recently; had a clean and fresh feel. Staff applied air freshener on request. Next morning we asked to be moved. A similar room overlooking the side road was available with a slightly better colour scheme and new fitted wardrobe area. Reception agreed to move us and offered to see if a kettle was available. When it wasn't, and after mentioning it again, they kindly provided one on the 3rd day. We felt more settled after that. Wifi in 2nd room was good and cleaning reasonable. Points to bear in mind. This is a basic hotel. Rooms are large, colour scheme varies from room to room but furniture is the same and outdated. Bathrooms all appear to have been renovated. Very comfortable beds with nice white linen. The hotel is quiet, reception and cleaning staff are very polite and helpful. Nearby are a Safeway supermarket, mainly Vietnamese and Chinese restaurants, pizza take aways and a laundrette. Overall we found the area to be safe with good transport links. However since hotel is not in downtown Vancouver, we consider the hotel overpriced, given rooms need updating.
My family is visiting Las Vegas for CES and we decided to visit the Strat to play 3 card poker for a nice break during the show. We took a taxi from the convention center, specifically for this purpose, on Thursday, January 8, around 1PM. Upon entering the casino, we noticed noone manning the 3 card poker table and asked the pit boss to open the table which he refused to do despite having personnel at tables with no people! He said to come back at 4, which we explained was impossible. He wouldn't accomodate us despite having manned, but empty tables! My daughter and I came there SPECIFICALLY for this purpose and felt the pit boss' decision to be unwarranted considering the circumstances. The YouTube videos show this place as a welcoming and friendly place; they allow filming in the morning as well. Unfortunately, the videos do not convey the Strat accurately. I feel the pit boss needs to be retrained to be more accommodating, flexible, and less rude. He squandered a good opportunity and left us deeply disappointed, not to mention the money we wasted on needless transportation. My advice would be to seek out your gambling experience elsewhere with friendlier staff whom are more in tune to the needs of their customers.
The suite facing the lagoon and Stanley park was excellent, with good cleaning service and spectacular view. A bit warm under the afternoon sun, compensated by an extra ac unit. Good bedding. Complimentary breakfast very basic. Good parking for a limited 20$ per day. We enjoyed our stay
Our room was quiet and the hotel is in a pleasant area off the main Strip. The grounds & property were well-maintained and the staff very friendly & helpful. The daily complimentary breakfast led by Marjore set a nice vibe for each day of our stay. Bueno!
We chose this motel as it was close to the Vancouver Gen. Hospital - one of was going to have medical procedure the next day and we wanted to ensure we were on time. Our home town is quite a ways from Vancouver. Very clean rooms and pretty good continental breakfast. The desk allowed us a late checkout which was much appreciated.
Stayed here over Easter weekend. A little too cool yet to enjoy the outdoor pool, but, definitely will when we come back and its warmer. The hotel was off the strip, away from all of the party noise, and masses of people. Fast food was just across the street, as well as a convenience store for your snacks and drinks. Free breakfast in the mornings. Speaking of food and drinks; our room had a nice full sized fridge in the kitchen for storing all those drinks and food, and microwave to heat up those leftovers. Plenty of space in our one bedroom suite, with a balcony as well! One small issue during our stay; the balcony door wouldnt lock, but maintenance came up and put a temporary fix on it, which was fine with us, since we were on an upper floor. This hotel is directly under the flight path of planes leaving the airport, so there is airplane all day long til about 1am.. bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Otherwise, we loved this place.

We stayed here last night - $587.00 was the nightly charge - my wife had an unexpected fall just outside the front doors and we went to the front desk to see if they had a wheelchair to help her inside to our room - they said absolutely not! So I had to carry her into the lobby on MY BACK and sanction for a luggage cart to get her to our room on the 10th floor! How humiliating! Shame on your staff!!! She suffered in pain all night and only through calling AGAIN in the morning twice were we availed a wheelchair to get her to the lobby - we were told under no under certain circumstances were we to leave the premises with said wheelchair- we were finally able to load my wife into a vehicle and return said wheelchair to this certain STAFF MEMBER to make sure the chair was returned- worst service ever !! Would not recommend!

I was honestly so amazed at how good this hotel actually was. We were welcomed in a really kind way. The view from our room was so unbelievable. We booked the panoramic king where we had a view of the brooklyn bridge and a little bit of the buildings in midtown. Room was also really clean. We had a problem with he heater in our room. When we told the staff about this on the phone, they sent a mechanic within 5 minutes to look at the problem. He told us he would fix it the next morning and gave us a mini heater for the time being. Next day when we came back from the city it was fixed. Our checkout was at 11 am while our flight was at 9 pm. The staff told us we could leave our luggages behind in the hotel for the time being which I also really liked so we could spent some time in the city before departuring and worrying about dragging our luggages with us. Staff also arranged a taxi for us to go to the airport. Overall really good experience, I would defenitely come back to this hotel again. P.S. We had room 4612, see pictures below for the view.
