A cute place for a drink but can get a bit loud and cocktails are pricey.
A delightfully warm escape from the biting cold. The food was delicious and fresh. Service was prompt and welcoming. Be alert to the auto gratuity of 20% on the bill! We usually tip more but the precharged tip with suggestions of another 20-30% left us uncomfortable because they don’t verbally warn of the precharge. Would have been easy to accidentally miss that on the line items and drop more than 50% in tips. Music was LOUD Other than that, would totally go again.
A typical wine bar. Dark with neon lights. However the music they played was so loud and so odd, I got a headache.
10/10 Great music and interesting cocktails, will come back often
1803 blew me away — everything from the atmosphere to the food to the service was spot-on. The vibe is warm, lively, and full of New Orleans energy, but still feels cozy and welcoming. Every dish was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The pasta, steak, and nachos is a must-try. The cocktails were creative and balanced, and the staff made the whole experience feel personal and fun. Whether you’re coming for dinner, brunch, or just drinks, 1803 hits the perfect balance of great food, great music, and genuine hospitality. Can’t wait to go back!
68 Jay Street Bar offers a serene escape from the city's hustle and bustle. The intimate ambiance creates a perfect setting for quiet nights. The talented bartender crafts delightful cocktails, catering to those seeking a peaceful and relaxing experience. Nestled in a prime Dumbo location, this bar is a hidden treasure for patrons in search of a tranquil retreat.
Ended up here on a whim just walking around Harlem on a Friday night. It was busy, however got seated upon arrival without a reservation. We sat on the outside covered area and the noise level was a bit much. Just be aware, not sure if in the proper restaurant/indoor area if it's any better. Our waitstaff seemed to be absent minded wondering around and wasn't good at checking in on us. We ended up having to call him over after he passed by multiple times without even looking to see if we needed anything. To the point where we ended up ordering double drinks as we weren't sure when the waitstaff would return. The food was delicious. And honestly the savior of the review as the service left little to desire. Ordered the Pot of Mussels (2 ways...did the White and Spicy Tomato), I've only had in white sauce while my counterpart only had in tomato. I maybe bias but the white sauce is wayyy better. For mains ordered the Truffle burger (I love me some truffle) and the Codfish Po'boy sandwich. Ended up splitting both in half and sharing the other 1/2 with one another as they were so good. The burger was cooked perfectly and not overwhelmed with truffle and the codfish po'boy was crispy with the lettuce, tomato, mayo and the bread all adding to the flavor. I would go back and sit in another section to see if the service is the same all around or if we just had an off night for the gentleman.
Excellent cuisine offered in this annex of the gourmet restaurant The Modern (2 Michelin stars). Small menu with dishes prepared by the team of Chef Thomas Allan who was not present that evening. The space is quite nice with a very large marble and zinc bar which offers multiple cocktails and alcohol. Super friendly service at the bar. It is possible to eat at the bar or at tables adjacent to the bar. The place is very noisy. I tasted three very good dishes there, I particularly liked the cooking of octopus with cauliflower and crunchy almonds. Relatively high bill when taxes and tip are added, which is at least 20% of the total bill.
Four of us ate here as part of Restaurant week. The food was delicious and our waitress,Laura, was helpful and friendly. We ate early because we had tickets for SIX, a musical play. However, we were not in the correct demographic for the play (too noisy and the lights were blinding). We came back to the restaurant to wait for the play to end and my brother and sister-in-law to emerge. We were warmly greeted by the restaurant manager, Elie Maurice, who talked to us and offered a free dessert on the house. While we didn’t take him up on his gracious offer, he made an incredible impression. The Glass House Tavern is now on our must return lists whenever we’re back in NYC.
A decent, reliable sports bar/tavern with a generous pour for Happy Hour. Calamari is tasty, fish tacos are fresh. Nice outdoor seating seasonally. A good place for 6+ groups with space between picnic tables and benches. A good, mildly noisy atmosphere and large screen TVs keeps conversations private. A lot of locals chatting after work.
A friendly and relaxed bar in a great location. The staff were brilliant and lots of fun. Very reasonably priced and excellent service. Good music and a late night opening.
Annual yearly train trip from CT to NYC for the Boat Show at the Javits Center. Always looking for a small bar to hang where you can talk and grab a bite. With the closing of the Blarney Stone in 2015 we tried a few bars until we stumbled upon Dave's Tavern on 9th Ave. It is your typical Irish pub but what made it special were the people inside. It was not overly loud , you could have a conversation and a typical mixed guy and girl NYC crowd where everyone was just having a great time. My buddy and I grabbed some beers and sat down to watch the locals play pool. After a few minutes a couple of guys came over , introduced themselves and made us feel very comfortable. Don't know if they were staff or customers, but it was a nice gesture. They offered us a game of pool and even gave us their turn. While we did not eat there , they do have a menu. We felt very safe , the crowd was perfect and the atmosphere was great for a Saturday night. We will definitely be going back there again. Thanks for the great time. Oh, I did let them win a game too , LOL. SEE YOU SOON !!

the food here was amazing, some of the best tasting dishes i've had in NYC. atmosphere is cool. came here for valentine's dinner and only thing i would say is that the band was playing way too loud at times, especially the drums. became kind of grating after awhile.

Hostess has no clue how to welcome guests The food was mediocre The waiter was very pleasant but over subscribed No bus boy Empty dishes sat on the table 15 minutes Bill included $40 for one bottled water - I don’t believe it was in error The room was dirty The music awful So many better places

Before we went to see a show, I decided to dine in the Park Market Tavern and we weren’t disappointed as the service was attentive whilst the food was very tasty. The atmosphere caused by the Old School collection of music made it a totally enjoyable experience. Definitely recommend especially if you’re staying in the Grand Central area.
