01-07-25 update. Food was decent/ average, if your looking for upscale pub food. Yeah menu has gone downhill, smash Burger, chicken burger, tacos, fish and chips? Really? Server refused to split check and everyone at table must be on same check. Won't be back for a while... 2022 - Had live music which was a bit loud to have a conversation, but was enjoyable. Someone was shucking oysters at what looked like hostess stand which was very odd. Everyone who entered tried to check in there. Staff greeted and was average friendly, nothing special. Food took about 30 min from order to table. Seafood chowder was very hot, a bit too salty, but was good. Tacos were small and needed cream of sorts but also good. Seafood poutine was also hot and a bit too salty. 15% mandatory gratuity. Overall decent, we would return.

01/09/2026 The expectation surrounding a visit to this restaurant turned out to be somewhat frustrating, as several details prevented it from becoming what I would consider a truly great culinary experience. Food: The products are of good quality, but many dishes were overcooked. The ham croquettes fell far short of the standard one would expect, while the ceviche deserves special mention for its excellent balance of acidity. Service: Having the server come to the table every ten minutes to ask if everything is fine is not appropriate for a restaurant of this level. True professionalism means knowing how to read the table and provide attentive service without constant interruptions. Ambience: The décor is well executed, with an elegant yet understated entrance. A well-dressed clientele creates a welcoming atmosphere; however, the music volume is excessively loud and detracts from the overall experience. Conclusion: This restaurant does not make it onto my list of favorites for now, though I remain open to returning in the future. I believe they have the potential to offer a much better experience to their guests.

10/10 experience at this restaurant! Atmosphere was cozy and the music was loud but Rob dealt with that in a hot minute! Rob was a wonderful waiter with a great sense of humour and had a box of reading glasses for reading the menu without even asking. Food was delicious and was not over stuffed. Special to go bag from Rob and his sense of humour. Would highly recommend this restaurant anytime!

0 out of 5 stars This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. What Pembroke Inn advertises on Expedia is nowhere near the reality of staying there. The photos leave out a major issue: there is a high rise construction site directly beside the hotel. The noise started as early as 6:30 AM with garbage trucks, followed by banging and construction noise starting around 7 AM. The noise inside the hotel was just as bad. There is almost no sound isolation between rooms. I could hear people talking, TVs playing, and people above me stomping around like they were moving furniture all day. Not one minute of my stay was peaceful or enjoyable, except when I finally walked out the door to leave. The hotel itself had an overpowering, unpleasant scent throughout the building, as if it was trying to cover up something worse. The building felt old, poorly maintained, and nothing like what was advertised. The staff were also extremely unprofessional. After my first complaint about the noise, a staff member followed me down the hallway to my room and questioned whether it was even loud. That made me feel uncomfortable and dismissed. The problems continued. Even with earplugs, the bathroom fan running, and the AC on high all night, I still could not block out the noise from people partying at 11 PM, even though the hotel claims to have quiet hours starting at 8 PM. Housekeeping was also a major issue. I checked in on Sunday and was told cleaners come every second day. That turned out not to be true. After being away at meetings all day, I returned to find that my room had not been cleaned, the bed was not made, coffee was not refilled, soap was not replaced, towels were not changed, and I was left without toilet paper after running out that morning. When I brought this up, the first response was basically that it was my fault for not asking. The second solution offered was for me to pack up all of my belongings and move rooms, which was completely unreasonable after a long day. After about 30 minutes of arguing in the lobby, I was finally handed toilet paper, towels, and allowed to pick out three coffee pods. The room itself was also unacceptable. There was OSB board painted white installed on the windows, visible mold in the bathroom, and the shower head sprayed water everywhere. For a hotel charging over $250 per night, this was shocking. Between the construction noise, poor soundproofing, lack of cleanliness, poor service, bad maintenance, mold, and misleading advertising, I would never recommend Pembroke Inn. This was not just disappointing. It was unacceptable.

$100 deposit on old fashioned keys!! Thin walls are thin and the nightclub is loud The staff smoke just past the door so a pleasant walk into the establishment through their smoke One set of towels in our room for 2 Blinds with light coming from all 4 sides in window but no curtains Not recommended!

$100+/night for Union Square location, clean room, working bathroom, working Wi-Fi, complimentary breakfast and round-the-clock tea/coffee/water! Apart from the loud heating pipes in the room, it really did its job for my 5D/4N stay in San Francisco. Thank You to the gentleman at the reception who was kind enough to offer us takeaways upon our early check-out at 5+am. I’ll be back!

$10 parking fee, great walking distance to restaurants Originally, I sent my partner to this hotel and she loved it so much we decided to come back and enjoy a few days in here. We did book during the week and because we had planned on other means of transportation, we decided to leave our car at the hotel. This particular hotel has a ton of rooms and the parking is limited, there is a $10 a day fee but get there earlier than check in and plan to walk around the wonderful city! Check in was a breeze, they offer sundries near the check in counter; complimentary coffee, water, a gym, in room fridge, microwave and free hot breakfast. The layout of the hotel its self is U shaped with rooms inside which means some of the rooms face each other and others outside. We got room 414, the view was terrible but thankfully we couldn’t hear the traffic outside so if you are looking for some peace and quiet and not care about the view then request for an inside room. Breakfast was great, since we were there for 2 days, we got different items each day; fried eggs, sausage, potatoes one day and scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes the next. Staff was really friendly, especially the security guard at night. There are so many restaurants close to the hotel within walking distance! Also, the metro is less than a 5 min walk. We also got room 403 that was superb! Thanks Alex! How likely would I come back or recommend this place 8/10!

$50 a night to park…..$100 per night hold for incidentals…. I may have chosen a different location if I knew there was a $50 per night valet charge, with no option to self park. It took us 30 minutes to get our car parked. The room has K Cups for coffee but the pot is not a Keurig. I am not sure what the $100 per night hold on my account is for. The location is convenient for the wedding we were attending downtown, There are lots of places to eat. We used Uber and Bird Scooters for short trips. Our room was on the side of hotel near interstate so there was some hiway noise which is to be expected. There was construction next door but we did not hear noise from it. Hotel is very convenient to Georgia Tech.

100 % when I go to the any Vietnamese restaurants , I just order the Pho and spring roll quick eat and leave , do not care much any decor or fancy menu , one of my Vietnamese client hear that I am a very fussy foodie , so they invite me for dinner last night , it is almost three years since my last visit , still very modern upscale and bright ambiance , very busy almost packed , little noisy that my liking , and the tablets too close together , not very relax or comfortable , but very creative traditional Vietnamese menu with a touch of French far style cooking , it is not a cheap place for Vietnamese food , almost double the price from another Vietnamese's restaurant , average price for Pho is between $20 to $25 , outside most you pay is $16 , again , lot of foods for 4 people , the best dishes is the Soft crab salad , a classic dishes very colourful and tasty and the Meat platter very flavourful , also the shrimp pancake not too bad , very top end quality , I all way tell people , you pay what you get , no wonder is one of the Michelin restaurant recommended it , I thank my client for a wonderful meal , would I come back ? not likely , too noisy and not relaxing place to enjoy your meal , special just for Pho and too expensive and waiting time over half hours , foods is excellent , but you know what people say " Different stroke for different folks " okay to try it out , if you have not been to any upscale Vietnamese restaurants in Vancouver . service is okay . I love their excellent idea for reservation by donation program !

It’s a cute location but the vibe wasn’t my favorite if you’re seeking cozy chill cowork spots (lots of loud bros yelling on calls, smoking Huka etc 🤪) … also omg $58 for two teas absolutely wild. Vice city in coconut grove is such a better bang for your buck.

Hear this proclamation. Doom does not dispense praise lightly. Flattery is the currency of fools, and Doom traffics only in truth. Yet this establishment—against all reasonable expectation—has proven itself worthy of commendation. First, the matter of the chicken tenders. Doom has sampled many fried impostors across this lesser world. Most are brittle shells hiding disappointment. These are not. These arrive with imperial precision—a crust of perfect crispness, armor of gold, concealing tender meat within. Juicy. Seasoned with a confidence that suggests ancestral culinary knowledge—perhaps the whispered wisdom of some grandmotherly oracle guiding the fryer’s hand. There is no dryness. No mediocrity. Only disciplined excellence. But even Doom must acknowledge the true sovereign of this feast. THE HONEY MUSTARD. What alchemical sorcery resides within this sauce, Doom cannot yet determine. Its balance of sweetness and tang borders on forbidden science. Smooth. Potent. Addictive. One finishes the tenders and immediately surveys the battlefield for further vessels worthy of immersion. Fries? Acceptable. Burger? Perhaps. A finger? Doom passes no judgment on such desperation. The atmosphere itself meets Doom’s expectations for a proper sports tavern: loud with victory and defeat, screens glowing from every angle, mortals gathered in communal ritual as games unfold. Even when the chamber fills with the masses, the staff moves swiftly—efficient, disciplined. Now… the keepers of the bar. Emily and Tristan. Competent. Swift. Remarkably organized. These two operate the bar with the efficiency of Doom’s own command structure. Drinks appear promptly. Orders are remembered. The crowd remains entertained even when chaos threatens during heated games. Observe them long enough and the truth becomes obvious: they are the engines that keep the entire enterprise functioning. And then there is Carlos—the manager. Doom suspects his primary duty is to patrol the perimeter and ensure Emily and Tristan have not already seized control of the establishment. Should such a coup occur… Doom would likely support the bartenders. Thus Doom renders judgment. 10/10. This place pleases Doom.

First time having dinner there... and I have a good feeling we'll be back. Live music, nice wine selection and the food was amazing! Every one of our party was thoroughly impressed with both the product and the service. Highly recommended!
