0 out of 5, don't expect any kindness from anybody, especially if your nothing but considerate, well mannered and respectful.. It only seems to spark the Hate- Machines up to relishing in twisted fun at your expense, a year past and I'm still dealing with all the fear and hostile based head-games that seem to be part of a everyday trend here unlike nothing you've been unfortunate to experience ,you're very likely to be haunted by evil spirits if you dare dwell in this Hell-Hole, for me 'twas impossible to make it home here...

45 years of traveling, several countries, multiple continents, and I have never been treated so poorly by a company. I made the mistake of paying for my hotel months in advance to attend a conference. Due to a medical issue I cancelled my reservation 2 months before the event and requested a refund, well within the contractual timelines. They were happy to cancel my reservation and keep my money so they could just rent the room again to someone else. No matter who I spoke with, they just refused to refund any money at all. They were completely unreasonable. I would have had to get a lawyer. And the room was the most expensive I've ever rented, almost $700/night, $2,700 US for 4 nights. To not allow a cancellation and refund when requested 2 months in advance is unconscionable. In the end I delayed my medical treatment and went on the trip so that the money wasn't a complete loss. Beware. Never, ever pay for a hotel room in advance. Also, corporate behavior like this is exactly why we use third party apps instead of going through the hotel. And the view was horrible. Never again. Never. Post script: The hotel replied below in an attempt to publicly save face. They invited me to again be taken advantage of. To repeat my previous warning: NEVER PAY FOR A HOTEL ROOM IN ADVANCE. This is the latest scam. I got taken. Don't let it happen to you.

500 per night for a city view. Our room had carpet lifting and water stains on the roof. Building is starting to show its age and needs renovations. Prices in the Arc restaurant are out of line for the quality. $70.00 for a 10 oz steak that was flavorful but definitely not over the top. There are some excellent choices nearby with similar price point . We have enjoyed staying on the property over the years but this may be our last time based on where things are headed with the property. They are riding on past performance, not on creating future experiences.

1. we enjoyed the beautiful room with newly furnished design. Very luxury details in the room. 2. caring room and cleaning service and good gym and pool possibility 3. Good location and close to bus stops, Vancouver Art Gallery and Vancouver City center 4. Noise from cafe outside (room 718). Noise from people talking outside as the room door is not sealed correctly. 5. The hotel does not offer any breakfast buffet and the breakfast at the restaurant is expensive.

1st stay - Coming from a long trip from Australia we wanted to stay somewhere close to the airport, so we could rest up before our long road trips getting there was easy only a 10 min drive, a little confusing upon arrival as there are 2 sides to the accomodation. Check in was easy, once we checked in we had to drive to the other side. All the staff where friendly and helpful. We knew that the parking was a short walk away so we stopped and unloaded our luggage, which the bellboys where very accomadating and helped us load onto a trolley and took our luggage to our room. we were on the 7th floor, lovely view of the harbour. Room was very nice, clean, bathroom looked to be renovated and new. Really enjoyed our stay for 5 nights. 2nd stay much different - after a month travelling around the beautiful Canada we needed another 2 nights close to the airport, we booked this as we where checking out from our 1st stay, they told us that the same room was not available and booked us in a bigger room called the executive room for $200 a night more. The room we got was exactly the same size and only on the 4th floor. Was much more dated (if the leather on the chair is peeled of, time to replace it!) and the bathroom was definatley smaller. Our son used the pull out sofa to sleep on, when we pulled it out that night, we found that the sheets had not been changed from the last people ... I was not happy! During this stay there was some dance competions that where on in the conference rooms, we heard the music thumping on and off from 7am right through to 9pm! for the extra $200 a night this was definately not an up grade. Other points - Not alot of options to eat around / in the the casino (room service is REALLY expensive.) We ate breakfast and lunch in Crave which was really nice food and Jason the waiter which we had everytime we visited was above and beyond outstanding. The pool and spa was great for us and the kids, they had a ball. Although on one of the days someone must have slept in and fogot to wash the pool towels as there was non and none coming so a few cranky people around the place! Other negatives - No microwave, with kids would have been nice to make them quick snacks, and no wine glasses. There was a wine ice bucket but had to drink from coffee cups, a few more kitchen necessaties would have been great.

3 (average) is probably harsh but can’t justify a 4 (very good). A good, convenient hotel that is a great base when exploring Vancouver and surroundings. Pros; location, family friendly, good continental breakfast (nothing amazing but sets you up for day), staff very accommodating, parking. Cons; very dated (but comfortable), faulty key cards, cleanliness of high chairs (could do with a scrub / replacing!). Overall, a good hotel, a little expensive for what it is, won’t blow you away but a comfortable stay in an amazing city.

I spent 6 nights at this hotel, and they were by far the worst nights I’ve ever had in any hotel. I arrived on the scheduled day for check-in, and at 4 PM, my room still wasn’t ready. The front desk host informed me that I’d have to wait even longer, or as an alternative, I could take a temporary room on the first floor (right above a nightclub), with the promise that the next day I would be moved to a quieter floor, since we were staying through the weekend and the club would be open until 3 AM. I agreed to take the temporary room for ONE night since my wife and I were tired of waiting, and the host had assured us we’d be moved the next day. The next day comes, and I get a call in the hotel room from a staff member speaking to me aggressively, telling me I had 20 minutes to leave the room and would need to wait at least 2 hours to get a new one. So my wife and I start rushing to pack our things and get out, and then I get a second call from the same staff member saying that actually, no other rooms were available and I would HAVE to stay in that room for the entire stay. Not only did the staff I dealt with have absolutely no sense of customer service, but I ended up having a hellish weekend with music blasting until 3 AM and the floor literally shaking from the bass. Long story short, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel—not even to my worst enemy.

Sucks that it's down town but nothing you can do but it was easier then I thought to get to and it's worth paying for the parking so your not worried if your car might get broken in to the room was amazing especially for the price and the front desk rilly helpful and nice 🙂 definitely will come again when I need somewhere to go 🙂

This is the singular most disappointing place I have ever stayed by choice. The property is very worn out. It is dirty. Service: outside of the bellman, service is indifferent, distant and uninterested. The room was very dated. Clean is a subjective word. Will you get sick? No. Did you feel good about walking barefoot, No. Outstanding service can elevate a poor facility. That is not the case here. Food: We were there during the slow part of the slow season. I was hoping to at least have a decent meal. That didn’t happen. I was trying to find a reasonable comparison from previous travel. The buffet food on the last day of a Carnival Cruise is light years better. You will enjoy the food more at a Golden Coral. Pricing: This is more than The Wynn, Bellagio, The Ritz at Occonee etc. The pricing structure with add ons make the folks in Las Vegas look like rookies. Everything has several resort taxes. The historic preservation fund fee is laughable. The property is so run down it brings a tear to your eye. Bottom line, don’t waste your money. A staycation downtown at home with a meal at a nice restaurant would have been more memorable and considerably less money.

Another outstanding stay at the Wedgewood. The service was superlative, starting at check-in with David A. Martin the doorman and Dicken the manager were awesome, too. Our anniversary room was upgraded to a full suite, which was greatly appreciated. Everything in the room was perfect. We stay here when in Vancouver for the value, and the friendliness of the staff from top-to-bottom. The atmosphere in the bar and restaurant was very romantic, with a live pianist. This was our second stay, with many more to come. Our favorite hotel in North America!
