1 star. This hotel is NOT kid-friendly despite what reviews claim. The pool area felt like a full-on day club—blaring club music, packed beyond capacity, and waitresses in string bikinis with thongs. Completely inappropriate for families. We couldn’t even find a chair, and they allow non-guests to use the pool, which makes it even more overcrowded. The room experience was just as bad—our sink wouldn’t drain, towels were limited, and the entire hotel smells like smoke from the casino. Food service took hours and the quality was poor. For how expensive this place is, it’s honestly unacceptable. We will not be returning.
5 day visit, 2 days with no housekeeping. I had to call for fresh towels to be brought to the room, but the dirty ones just piled up on the floor. When I complained, they did remove my resort fees for those day, but I requested it, they didn't volunteer it. The pool area for hotel guests was dirty and unstaffed. Very little sun reached the pool, so the water was too cold to stay in- if you were able to even get in.
9 night's booked, self check in took ages, Luxor staff directed me to self area the last thing I needed after a ten hour flight, these are a new thing at this location, it's nearly impossible to talk to someone so you get the room you're given, not the lift area I wanted, The pool was closed for renovations, no buffet, the room i got was ok, nothing special, it was only cleaned by housekeeping once in my 9 nights and that was because I asked outside my room, and it was vacant most of the day time. I've been to this hotel 18 times in 20 years, this was not a good experience. Various heaters in various corridors as apparently water leaking all over, but not in the pools!! Resort fee of $51 a night, way overpriced just for wi fi. I'll think long and hard before returning to Las Vegas and the Luxor,
$50/day surprise resort fee not mentioned in my original booking. Half the restaurants pictured not there. Pool/hot tub closed for winter. Long check in lines. Check in and rewards kiosks did not work so everyone had to wait in line for the 1-2 people working at the front desk. Beautiful hotel with lots to do and I highly recommend the king suite with the view of the strip - it did feel worth the extra $20 and was a HUGE room for just one person. VERY QUIET. Only one elevator working so a lot of us stood in line for it. Weirdly there is a glass window that went from my shower into my bedroom so glad I wasn't staying with anyone else. Even my partner would have a problem with that because it gave a clear view to the toilet - felt very Vegas but maybe not practical... Loved the dressing room lights around the mirrors and this had two sinks/get ready areas one inside and outside of the bathroom along with a closet and desk and couch and coffee table and fridge - no microwave - really could have used that. TV and dresser and two night stands. Plenty of space for activities. Starbucks in the resort which was convenient, but you can only pre-order through the app if you have a Starbucks card. Bring your own tea bags and you can get a cup of hot water from them for $1.08, which is better than spending $10 for their mint majesty tea. Would have loved to try breakfast at the hotel, but the restaurant didn't open until 7am and I left before then. Most of the restaurants, shows, and shops were closed when I was there, but it was a Wednesday night so maybe that's why.
100% happy with our recent stay. We had 5 people in a 2 bedroom suite and it was wonderful. We had plenty of room to spread out. TV's were in both bedrooms and the living room area. The TV's worked great as well as the wifi. There was a kitchen and a table with 6 chairs. We opted out of housekeeping services for the time we were there (5 days) but if we needed extra towels, etc it was readily available. I liked the pool at the Jockey Club because it was shaded (because of the tall buildings around it). There was a sitting area so you could bring your drinks and food and there were also BBQ's to use. There was a separate whirlpool/hot tub area and also a sauna. We signed up to use the Cosmo pool for one day. It was really nice to be able to have that perk. The Cosmo Casino is right next door to the Jockey Club and you don't have to go outside to get to it. They have many restaurants for take out in the Cosmo (on the second floor) and we would bring it back to our room sometimes to eat. I think the location can't be beat. Our room was clean and comfortable. We would most definitely stay again!
100% impressed!! Don’t know where to begin… Starting with checking in : we were welcomed like family .. no rush .. the hotel and amenities were explained in full with no confusion The room was absolutely spotless!!! No odd smells in hallways or room at all .. Beds were extremely comfortable with some of the best pillows on the planet !! The pool:: extremely clean pool and lounging area..the pool bar/deli was welcoming and ready to please Casino :: some of the nicest dealers and casino management I have ever met / it was my fiancés first time playing roulette and the management was more than patient and accommodating Buffet and restaurants:::, Again, spotless!! Food was beyond the standard buffet fair and of course the servers were amazing !! Housekeeping deserves 10 stars !! To sum up our experience :: I will always stay at South Point ! I have never been treated so well in Las Vegas.. please give this hotel your business.. I promise you will not be disappointed!!
Absolute Nightmare: 90-Degree Rooms & Predatory Parking DO NOT STAY HERE. My recent stay at The Downtowner was a disaster from start to finish due to a total lack of basic amenities and predatory management practices. 1. No AC/Heat Controls (90°F Rooms): Nowhere in the booking process does it mention that rooms have no individual temperature control. The hotel controls the heat/AC centrally. Our room was nearly 90 degrees the entire time. It was stifling, unhygienic, and impossible to sleep. 2. The Parking "Trap": The hotel provides a parking permit but lacks enough legal stalls. When the lot was full, I parked in an overflow area as instructed by staff. I woke up to a $25 city citation for "parking off pavement." Management admitted they know the city tickets guests there, yet refuse to mark the area or cover the fine, effectively leading guests into a financial trap. 3. Abysmal Management: Management would rather lose the revenue of an entire stay (I am currently disputing all charges) and receive a 1-star review than simply cover a $25 fine caused by their own lack of parking and infrastructure. Save your money and your sanity - stay somewhere that actually values its guests and provides basic necessities like a thermostat.
At checkout the owner was very unkind the room was not as clean as I thought they would be you can't get in the pool after you paid all that money to stay there the refrigerator didn't work the floor was dirty and the room kind of stink.
Avoid this hostel at all costs!! I chose this hostel because of the name and the fact it has a swimming pool. There is nothing about this hostel that is ‘posh’, or the name Bposhtel. It’s an absolute dive! I booked and paid for 5 nights here in June 2025 in a female 8 bed dorm. The dorm rooms were just about adequate, but there was a constant buzzing because a fire alarm battery was running low. The reception staff did eventually send someone to change it. On the way to complain at reception, there was an American guy who was trying to find reception who had just arrived and gone to bed to find a bed bug in his bed and blood on the sheets where the bug had bitten him. He showed us the video. The queue in reception was full of people who were there to complain. The hotel is nowhere near the strip and in the middle of nowhere. It’s very hidden and the taxi driver couldn’t even find it. We had to sign a form on arrival with all the rules of the hostel, including that we would be out of our room every day between 1-3pm for the cleaners to clean the room. I’ve never heard of this happening before. There was a very elderly lady with her mum who arrived just after me in the dorm and we couldn’t believe it - they gave her a top bunk bed. She was at least 70 years old. Fortunately, a lovely Romanian lady called Cristina gave her the bottom bunk. In the end, after just 2 hours there, I’d booked a hotel on the strip and Cristina came and stayed in the hotel with me. We couldn’t stay there another night and when we told reception the next day, they did nothing to encourage us to stay or offer a refund. I wasted £100. Do not stay here! You’ve been warned.
20 min walk from the strip, I slept well, no noise or parties during the 2 nights booked, the room was renovated, only positive things, the pool is closed but I hadn't come for that, I asked and was given a garden view room at no extra cost.
A good luxury hotel with comfortable rooms, great view and abundance choice of eateries on ground. A bit away from the main central activities of the strip so a bit of walking or public transport needs to be included in the time management. A little more attention needs to be given to room amenities and housekeeping, consideringit's5 star status. Overall a pleasant stay at Las Vegas.
★★★★★ 5 stars — Golden Gate brought Vegas back for me. Derek Stevens is bringing soul back to Vegas, baby. Downtown, that is. The Strip is nothing but a fleece from gouging conglomerates fleecing patrons in sweatpants where “automated everything” has replaced the Vegas experience. After two days on the Strip, being stripped of my sanity, I thought Vegas would never come back for me. But then Golden Gate was a total reset 🎊✨ I’m ALL IN!! From the moment my son and I walked in, it was real HOSPITALITY—real smiles, real service… classic Vegas energy. We caught the “Night Starts Here” welcome and it was unapologetic hospitality insider fun: open bar + envelopes with Free Play so you can start gambling with house-money from the get. Old-school in every way. Then Derek Stevens (the owner) grabbed the mic, introduced himself, and said that while this event usually kicks off the night, this time we’re kicking off the year… here… together. I was moved and compelled to thank him personally for bringing the human experience back. He was dressed in a suit, kind, and approachable. I got back in line for our open-bar welcome cocktails but… I couldn’t help it. I went back and asked Derek if I could take a photo with him. He made me feel like his guest, not a transaction. I told him my younger son will be back in a couple weeks to celebrate his 21st birthday. Derek gave me his business card and told me to reach out so he could help make my son’s birthday special. Say what?! This is crazy (in the best way)! Classic LAS VEGAS. I also met Devonia (Executive Casino Host) and she was genuinely lovely (omg) warm, present, and the definition of hospitality. She shared Derek Stevens’ vision of bringing back the human touch downtown, and you can feel it in how the Golden Gate runs. If you’re tired of the Strip’s lines, kiosks, and “good luck figuring it out” customer service, GO DOWNTOWN. We had the most incredible steak dinner at Triple George’s on New Year’s Day, and honestly, it was a ballet of hospitality. Everybody brought their best game to the table and delivered nothing but perfection and delight. The smiles, the warmth… even the staff at the Plaza felt unrivaled. Somehow we lucked out with a view of the Fremont experience, the Circa (which unbeknownst me, Derek Stevens owns as well) the pools, and the game. This is what Vegas is about. Meanwhile on the Strip: I was stuck in the Caesar’s Horseshoe parking concourse for over an hour because their lane gates were frozen and only worked intermittently. I walked down four levels and literally directed traffic out. I was on the phone for 30 minutes trying to get help, but only AI was directing me to another agent who directed me back to AI. All I could think was: if there was an emergency, people could be compromised 👎🏽 We also had a $370 steak dinner at Jack Binions Steak House Horseshoe Las Vegas where we were (not the last ones to be) denied dessert because “the chef left.” What a joke 🤡 Downtown hospitality would never. Golden Gate is the heart of Las Vegas vibes. 💯

I have been to Vegas many times but this trip by far was the best. I stayed at the MGM Grand about 20 years ago and the upgrades that have occurred are amazing. Compared to every other resort in Vegas that I have stayed at, this has been the best yet. At check-in, we were complimentary upgraded to a full suite. These suites were just renovated in Nov 2025. The room still smelled new! When you walk into the room, you have the first of 3 bathrooms in the suite. The suite had a bar area and a granite topped table that seats 6. The room also had a full sectional couch and a shuffleboard table. The second bathroom was a full bathroom with a Kohler bathtub that could accommodate two people and had a tray table that had lotions, soaps, massage roller, and bath brush. The bedroom had a California King bed that was so comfortable, we felt like we were sleeping on a cloud. The third bathroom had a walk-in shower that could fit 6 people if you wanted. The hotel has a 6.5 acre pool area with a lazy river as part of it. The hotel also has several restaurants and food services. There is a large arcade for kids in the main casino area and several other services such has spas and shopping, and of course plenty of gambling areas. I would highly recommend this place if you want to feel pampered without having to pay a small fortune!

We thought we would spend two comfortable nights before continuing our road trip. Huge disappointment upon arrival: - The room (20-705) is extremely noisy and directly overlooks large ventilation units. When we asked to change rooms, it was a categorical refusal: the hotel was apparently completely full. - The pool is closed despite the announced 35°C heat. - The spa is also closed for maintenance. - This is the only hotel on our trip that does not offer coffee in the room. Positive points: - The parking which is included at no extra charge - Location: a 15-minute walk from the Strip Resort fees: $56.69/night

I had a fantastic stay at the Conrad Las Vegas! From the moment I arrived, the experience was seamless and truly pleasant. The hotel strikes the perfect balance between modern luxury and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, featuring sleek decor and floor-to-ceiling windows that offer stunning views of the city/mountains. I was particularly impressed by how clean and well-maintained every corner of the property was. The service was a highlight—the staff was attentive and made me feel right at home throughout my visit. The receptionist clearly explained on how can I use my Amex $100 credit + $50/per day credit for Hilton Gold. Being part of the Resorts World complex is a huge plus, as it provides easy access to an amazing variety of world-class dining, high-end shopping, and the beautiful pool deck. Whether you are here for a quick getaway or a longer vacation, the Conrad offers a quiet, upscale retreat while still being right in the heart of the action. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-tier experience in Vegas. I can't wait to come back!
