Had booked a double room for 7 nights mid-September 2017. Hotel is 15 minutes walk from nearest subway ( Joyce Collingwood ), part uphill. A small hotel with ground and first floor ; probably 20 odd rooms in total. Complimentary parking in the basement. External look of the hotel is unappealing being on the main road(Kingsway); reception is small but presentable. Were checked into a large room which was dull. Room had 2 Queen beds as the only room available at the time. Dark brown furniture, walls, carpet and curtains. A free standing air conditioner, no wardrobe. Room smelt musty and had large window at the busy main road level hence lacked privacy. No kettle, but a coffee percolator, which was inadequate for boiling water for tea. Bathroom though small had been renovated recently; had a clean and fresh feel. Staff applied air freshener on request. Next morning we asked to be moved. A similar room overlooking the side road was available with a slightly better colour scheme and new fitted wardrobe area. Reception agreed to move us and offered to see if a kettle was available. When it wasn't, and after mentioning it again, they kindly provided one on the 3rd day. We felt more settled after that. Wifi in 2nd room was good and cleaning reasonable. Points to bear in mind. This is a basic hotel. Rooms are large, colour scheme varies from room to room but furniture is the same and outdated. Bathrooms all appear to have been renovated. Very comfortable beds with nice white linen. The hotel is quiet, reception and cleaning staff are very polite and helpful. Nearby are a Safeway supermarket, mainly Vietnamese and Chinese restaurants, pizza take aways and a laundrette. Overall we found the area to be safe with good transport links. However since hotel is not in downtown Vancouver, we consider the hotel overpriced, given rooms need updating.

Stayed here over Easter weekend. A little too cool yet to enjoy the outdoor pool, but, definitely will when we come back and its warmer. The hotel was off the strip, away from all of the party noise, and masses of people. Fast food was just across the street, as well as a convenience store for your snacks and drinks. Free breakfast in the mornings. Speaking of food and drinks; our room had a nice full sized fridge in the kitchen for storing all those drinks and food, and microwave to heat up those leftovers. Plenty of space in our one bedroom suite, with a balcony as well! One small issue during our stay; the balcony door wouldnt lock, but maintenance came up and put a temporary fix on it, which was fine with us, since we were on an upper floor. This hotel is directly under the flight path of planes leaving the airport, so there is airplane all day long til about 1am.. bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Otherwise, we loved this place.

"mini bar" was missing a milky way when i arrived; despite my having immediately alerted hotel staff upon my discovery of said missing milky way, I nevertheless discovered a $3.25 charge tacked sneakily onto my bill! room wasn't clean enough, the duvet needed to be removed from service because of staining; nothing impressive here except for the photographer's ability to make dingy and lower than expected ceiling feel bright and airy! . when i checked in (for a single night stay), i requested a late checkout. the hotel obliged, although i don't understand why the guest after me in the queue was told 1230 while i was told 12 was the latest possible time available. besides this, the staff were all quite friendly and down to earth. i had an incredibly disappointing experience with the hotel manager. Under-confident as the leader of a workplace, the manager here claims their authority over others by putting them down. He was immature, disrespectful, expressed a contempt for guests as burdens, and called me names while attempting to save face while reversing a surcharge on my bill despite his initial insistence that he would not. Onlooking staff remained courteous but quiet, not wanting to get dragged into the manager's fit of frustration. I made a valid request, was right to have done so, and was met with the manager's attempt to steamroll me while making false/unfounded claims regarding my moral fibre. The hotel didn't need 3 people working, anyhow. I would fire the manager and promote the girl who checked me, since she demonstrated good understanding of hotel operations and intuitive understanding of guest requests. If you are looking for a bed and a shower and single serve pumpkin pie flavor coffeemate creamers and you want a cheap room with bad natural light, then this is your place! tldr; half star for the decent cable channel selection (which includes SHOWTIME~!) gets rounded up to one star.

"Great First Impressions – Excellent Check-In & Solid Amenities!" Reviewed April 1, 2025 • Stayed at Hotel Fusion, San Francisco Just checked in today at Hotel Fusion in San Francisco, and I have to say — so far, so good! Jesus at the front desk was absolutely spectacular. Friendly, professional, and super helpful. He took the time to clearly explain all the amenities and even gave me a great room. I learned that the on-site bar just opened about four months ago — definitely looking forward to checking that out during my stay. As part of my travel routine, I like to share a review of the room, my check-in experience, and the amenities. The gym here is a solid highlight — open 24 hours, which is a huge plus. I actually did a quick video in there (you can catch it on my blog or wherever I end up sharing it). The gym includes a good variety: a nice rack of dumbbells, a convertible flat/incline/decline bench, and four machines — a stair stepper, treadmill, elliptical, and one more I’ll have to circle back on. I booked through Southwest.com and scored an extra 2,000–3,000 Rapid Rewards points, which made the already reasonable rate (around $120/night) even more worth it. All in all, I’m happy with my stay so far. If you’re in San Francisco and looking for a solid, centrally located spot with good service and amenities, check out Hotel Fusion! — Casey N.

Boulevard, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club, is absolutely outstanding! From the moment I arrived, the staff greeted me with warmth and genuine hospitality. The suites were spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed—truly a home-away-from-home experience. The scenery is top-notch, especially the pool area; all maintained with exceptional care. Its convenient location makes it easy to enjoy everything the area has to offer while still feeling like a peaceful retreat. I highly recommend The Boulevard to anyone seeking comfort, luxury, and impeccable service!

**UPDATE** - In Response to the Owner's Response I’m extremely disappointed that your response mischaracterizes what actually happened during our stay and that your staff continues to gaslight us about our level of communication the night we discovered the stain and at checkout the morning after. To clarify the facts: as soon as we discovered that the fitted sheet appeared dirty, we immediately called the front desk and were met with no response. We also sent someone from our party down to the front desk to check whether there was anyone who could help us change the sheets. We saw someone at the front desk and 100% communicated that there was an issue we needed help with. This was absolutely not the “general inquiry” that you claim it to be. The staff member then responded saying he was a part of the security team and that there was nobody who could help change the cover until the next morning. My friend was left to sleep on what appeared to be a brown stained mattress without knowing what it was. At checkout, our concern only appeared "informative" because your staff showed complete indifference to our legitimate complaint. We were urgent when we needed help the night before, but by morning we were dealing with staff who clearly didn't care about our subpar experience. While you may have explanations for the stain, that doesn't erase the 24 hours my friend spent not knowing what it was or the distress of having to sleep on it. Your $50 offer and dismissal of our request for partial compensation shows a fundamental misunderstanding of the impact this had on our stay and the dissatisfaction from our party regarding the poor attempts to address our concerns only after the initial review was posted. It’s concerning that your response suggests this matter has been "resolved" when it clearly hasn't been addressed competently. Even if the stain was simply caused by a rusty mattress frame, every single effort from us to bring up this issue has been met with absolute indifference and frustrating attempts to distort and deny the facts when all we were hoping for was a simple apology and acknowledgement that things could have been handled better. Misrepresenting what happened doesn't solve the real issue: your lack of responsiveness when guests need help and empathy when things go wrong. ****Future guests should be aware: if issues arise during your stay, don't expect timely assistance or understanding from management when you need it most.**** **INITIAL REVIEW** Stayed here with friends last weekend and it was absolutely awful. When we pulled out the sofa bed, there was a brown stain right on one side of the mattress - completely disgusting. Called the front desk but no one was available to fix it, so we had to manage. The worst part? When we complained at checkout, the staff couldn’t have cared less. No apology, no offer to make it right, just complete indifference. For what we paid, this is unacceptable. Basic cleanliness shouldn’t be too much to ask for. Save your money and stay literally anywhere else in Vancouver - this place is gross and the service is terrible. Avoid at all costs.

*Worst value in NYC* The rooms are small, very loud, and look like they’re from the ‘70’s. The room was $500 per night, see the photos below. The bathroom didn’t include any amenities, just soap. Staff were very friendly but value for the room is shocking, I would never recommend Sohotel.

Our stay at the Fairmont Pacific Rim was, without question, the most exceptional luxury hotel experience I have ever had — and I have traveled extensively throughout Europe, the USA, Africa, and Asia. We stayed in a Gold Suite, and from the moment we arrived, every detail was flawless. The Gold experience felt truly elevated — private, refined, and thoughtfully curated. The restaurant was outstanding. We dined in a private room, the food was exceptional, and our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. The lounge and bar are stunning — trendy, beautifully designed, and vibrant — and again, the service was impeccable. The spa facilities are extraordinary. The hot tub, the hydrotherapy shower (absolutely to die for), and the spacious, spotless steam room created the most relaxing atmosphere. Everything throughout the hotel felt pristine, fresh, and meticulously maintained. One of the most thoughtful touches came Sunday morning when the concierge informed me they could arrange transportation to and from church. Not only did they provide a ride, but they also ensured I had bottled water for the journey. That level of service truly stands out. After church, I enjoyed breakfast overlooking the water — the view was breathtaking. The healthy, gluten-free options were excellent, and the cappuccino was perfection. When we checked out and valet brought our vehicle around, I was amazed to see that the inside of my car had been tidied and cleaned. It was such an unexpected and generous touch. Every element of our stay exceeded expectations. The Fairmont Pacific Rim sets the standard for luxury, service, and attention to detail. We are incredibly grateful for the experience and will absolutely be returning. Thank you for an unforgettable stay.

5 day visit, 2 days with no housekeeping. I had to call for fresh towels to be brought to the room, but the dirty ones just piled up on the floor. When I complained, they did remove my resort fees for those day, but I requested it, they didn't volunteer it. The pool area for hotel guests was dirty and unstaffed. Very little sun reached the pool, so the water was too cold to stay in- if you were able to even get in.

We had a great overall experience during our stay. The hotel is very well located, and the facilities are modern, clean, and comfortable. The staff was generally friendly and attentive, and everything else during our visit went wonderfully—we truly enjoyed our time in New York. We especially loved the renovation, particularly the move of the restaurant to the first floor and the lobby to the third floor—it made the space feel more modern and welcoming. Additionally, I want to highlight the outstanding service we received from Antonio at the front desk. He assisted us at checkout, and his service was excellent—very professional, friendly, and helpful. He really made a great impression on us. However, I would like to mention one point that could be improved. On the day of our arrival, we got there around 10:00 AM and were informed that check-in was not available until after 2:00 PM. While we understand hotel policies, we were surprised to be asked to pay an additional $100 fee for early access, even though we already had a reservation for that same day. We ended up waiting until around 1:00–2:00 PM for our room. Aside from this situation, everything else exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely consider staying here again.

Never Stay This Hotel. I booked a 4-night stay (4/18–4/22) at this property specifically for a work trip, relying on their advertised "Free Wi-Fi." This turned out to be a blatant case of false advertising. The internet was down for the duration of my stay. As a business traveler, this rendered the room completely useless. Furthermore, there is no proper management or reception on-site. When a crisis occurs or basic amenities fail, there is no one there to help you. I was forced to move out on April 20th just to be able to perform my job. (I managed to get by for two days using my phone's hotspot.) While the owner acknowledged when I saw him at the front desk(finally) that I was entitled to a refund for the nights I did not stay, the hotel is now refusing to cooperate with Hotels.com to process that refund. To the Ownership: If this refund (the night I haven't stayed) is not processed immediately, I will be taking the following actions: Reporting this business to the NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) for undisclosed service disruptions and false advertising. Filing a formal complaint under the NYC Safe Hotels Act regarding the lack of required on-site staffing and management. Filing a Consumer Frauds Complaint with the New York State Attorney General. Initiating a Small Claims Court case to recover my funds plus damages for the relocation costs. This is a clear management chaos and false advertisement. Prospective guests: Stay elsewhere if you value your money and need a reliable place to work. This one is NO worthy.
