Came here with friends for happy hour drinks and dinner, the concept is familiar (sort of levantine sharing plates) and the good was quite good though I've had better (Nora for example). The only down side was a rather rude waitress who not only reminded us that she needed the table back, got pantsy about giving one of our party a happy hour drink at one minute past, and then was cleaning the table whilst we were still getting up from the table (I might understand if they had a party waiting but it just came off rude).
Horrible in hygiene and food taste. The food ordered was oily and the potatoes were uncooked Seriously bad taste food and bad experience. Honest suggestion never to go.
I have no problem with getting quality food, and a great service. Came on a Sunday with an elderly couple who invited my family and i after watching Paddington, but found myself feeling upset due to the personal hygiene of our waiter. His odor was not pleasant, and he smelt like an ash tray. Yes, he was dressed impeccable, but unfortunately..... Other than that, the view, the beauty of the restaurant and the food was AMAZING! Shall definitely be back in February.
Absolutely everything was wonderful. The food was hygienic and delicious, and the staff were very sweet. Thank you for your help, Sujina :)
Beautiful and clean restaurant. However, paid for a glass of single malt which came in a dusty glass. After asking to change it, they just poured the drink into another glass which then had the dust floating in it.. after complaining again, we kindly had one of the desserts for free. Overall food was delicious and beautifully presented.
Delicious authentic Malaysian food. Extremely tasty, fresh and piping hot. Good portions should have shared the starters as good portions. Went for pretheatre meal. Quick service, attentive but non intrusive staff, food quick to come to come to table. Loved all the twists on quotes on the restaurant posters. Very clean premises.
A stunning interior and a visual feast but the quality of the food is very disappointing. My wife ordered from the two course menu and her steak was full of gristle. The taste and consistency of the mashed potato side order was more akin to reconstituted ‘Smash’ and the three green vegetable side order was cold and appeared under cooked. On referral to our server a floor manager quickly became involved and a replacement meal or discount offered. We chose the discount but this turned out to be just for the sides and a small contribution to the steak which is really inadequate. We have visited several times over the years and have not found fault previously but this meal was below the standards expected of such a prestigious establishment. Furthermore the ladies toilets had a poor standard of cleanliness.
As a couple, we were shown to a booth, which was really good & a big improvement on a cramped table. As we were in a Mediterranean/Turkish restaurant, we decided to try the Turkish wine - white for me & red for my husband. Both were very nice indeed! Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. The seats were a bit dirty with crumbs, presumably left over from the last diners. Didn't love the toilets which could've done with a clean. There were a couple of little flies buzzing around the table. None of these things on their own would've bothered me particularly, but all together with the disappointing food, left a negative impression. I ordered the moussaka which quite frankly looked & tasted like a ready meal, swimming in tomato soup. It said it came with salad & bulgar wheat. There was no sign of any bulgar wheat, which I queried as soon as the food arrived, but I'm not sure the waiter understood me. I mentioned it again to another waiter at the end of the meal and he said that the moussaka was made with bulgar wheat. His manner was not great either. Maybe that was a misunderstanding on my part but the menu implied you'd get bulgar wheat as a side dish. The salad was a limp bowl of leaves, with a bit of tomato, with a tasteless dressing. My husband had fish & chips, which again he said was mediocre. Overall, a disappointing experience - and not cheap either. We won't be coming back and I wouldn't recommend.
As someone who regularly frequent Michelin starred restaurants this was an extremely disappointing experience on what should have been a celebration birthday meal. The ambiance is odd, the noise from the extractor fan in the middle of the restaurant was constant, the staff looked positively cheesed off! On being seated we were not offered the wine menu and had to ask for it, we were not really advised on any wine or soft drink pairings. When my husband asked for a copy of the menu so he knew what was coming next he was told " we don't give you them while eating in case you get it dirty"?! The menu itself was not that exciting, the raw scallop and mushroom dish was underwhelming, none of the dishes had any wow factor , including the somewhat random mashed potato dessert. If this restaurant wasn't so expensive...and by golly it is ..we would have maybe let it go but it really does not deserve to charge what it does and have 2 stars . Normally we would get an email from the restaurant directly after asking for feedback but nothing..so the feedback is here!!! Avoid..there are far better restaurants in Shoreditch if you want a great meal!!
A casual yet inviting ambiance makes this restaurant special. Chicken tikka masala and garlic naan were flavorful and satisfying. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Drinks arrived quickly, and the restaurant felt clean and comfortable. Portion sizes were generous. Pricing matched the quality of food.
A very large restaurant with around 200 covers. Very busy indeed. It is impossible to distinguish the staff from the diners as they are not wearing any uniform or anything that may identify them as staff. That confuses when one wants to order. The restaurant is very clean. We ordered, for starters, the Mackerel with potato. It was extremely salty, I left most of it. My wife ordered Potted beef. It was also very salty. She left 80% of it. Pawł, the waiter, was informed about this issue and kindly removed the dishes from the bill later. We ordered Zinfandel wine and Syrah wine, they were ok. For the main dish, I had Hake fish and vegetables, macaroni cheese. This dish has 5 different cheeses. I found it very hard to taste these flavours. My wife had for main course steak and chips. The steak was fine but uninspired. It was very odd that no sauce for the steak was not provided; the waiter did not ask if my wife wanted any! Also, we had to request ketchup for the chips. None was offered. In general, the service is good, the Restaurant has a nice vibe, and the decor is nice, but the flavours were just not there. Kat, one of the managers, did come to speak with us and apologised regarding the saltiness of some of the dishes. She also followed up with a very professional email. We shall try the Restaurant again, and hopefully, it will receive a Very Good review rather than an Average.
AMAZING Indian food. One of the best I’ve tried. Came with work colleagues and the food is out of this world and great compared to the local area. The atmosphere is amazing will cook dimmed lighting and you feel like you are in a 5* clean restaurant. Highly recommend.

£60 for two people. Had tea and the pot wasn't clean (had coffee grounds on it). There is also a 12.5% service charge to makeup for the prices being low. The service charge is not obvious and in small print on the menus so it is hard to notice. Obviously this is by design. Food was good overall however a little small and although tasty it was not quite good enough to be at the price it was. Service was ok but not what you would expect from a restaurant like this. When arriving there was no one at the entrance to say if they had room available so we had to search for someone to seat us. For £60 for two people you would expect it to be better.

Din Tai Fung is one of the few places in London where you can go in with confidence and know exactly what you’re getting — solid, consistent quality. The Xiao Long Bao are well executed — thin skin, good amount of broth, and clean flavour. Not the absolute best you’ll ever have, but definitely satisfying for London. The shrimp fried rice is simple but done properly — light, fragrant, and not greasy. The hot and sour soup was a pleasant surprise. Well balanced, with enough depth and acidity, and not overly thick or watered down. Other dishes like the wontons and noodles are slightly adapted to local taste, but still hold up reasonably well. The space is modern and comfortable, with an open kitchen where you can see the dumplings being made. Service is efficient and well organised. Overall: Not the most authentic, but very reliable. A good option if you’re craving familiar flavours without taking risks.

From the moment I stepped through the door and heard 'May I take your coat sir?' I knew this was going to be something special. Checking in with the impeccably dressed Maître D', I had a warm welcome and was offered a seat at the bar or to go straight to the table while waiting for my friends. Choosing a seat at the bar, two talented bartenders worked seamlessly together to anticipate my need for a glass of water, while also preparing my drink wonderfully well (Amaretto Sour with a splash of pineapple juice if you're interested), and served it in a quality chilled glass. Even when my friends arrived, the bartender overheard what my friend was getting through conversation, and was already pouring it by the time we turned to ask for it. Being shown to our table, the bartenders insisted we leave our drinks for them to carry over for us. It's this level of service and attention to detail that impressed me from the offset. My friend and I had the same drink, but the waiter had taken care with whose drink went to whom. Being able to communicate that between different members of staff, along with now transferring those drinks to our table's bill, are the kind of quality hospitality logistics that make the dining experience feel utterly seamless. Whilst some items on the menu were on the pricey side, the dishes I ordered were generously portioned, flavourful, and the presentation was thoughtful, but not over the top. The atmosphere in the restaurant was that of friends catching up, professionals having a casual but elevated dinner meeting, and couples out for a special treat. The relaxed dress code was the highlight, allowing guests to interpret the elevation of the restaurant, without boxing them in with outdated restrictions. I didn't feel out of place in chinos and a jumper, and that instantly made me unwind into the experience. Our server was well educated in the menu when it came to my friend's gluten allergy, and was confident in recommending what dishes were and were not suitable, as well as those that could be adapted. Her service was in-keeping with the environment of the restaurant, checking in when necessary, but also leaving us to enjoy our dinner and conversation. I must compliment the willingness of the Maître D' to assist in the resetting of tables, even when they weren't immediately needed. Having clean empty tables around the restaurant broke up the noise, and helped maintain the spacious and classy feel of the room. The bathrooms were clean, but maybe the biggest opportunity for improvement. A Dyson hand-dryer and run-of-the-mill commercial white toilet can somewhat kill the vibe. This could be the place to add some real wow-factor. I'm thinking complimentary mints, premium branded hand soaps and lotion, real washable hand-towels; that for me would take The Delaunay to the next level of elegance. Overall, whilst the bill was expectedly on the pricier side, I was happy to pay it. I really felt the value of the whole dining experience was worth every penny. I'd certainly recommend it if you're looking for a treat, or somewhere to wine and dine someone special. I for one, will definitely be back.

We arrived at the hotel on a Thursday and we were welcomed very polite and professional. We were very exhausted but the hotel crew was able to help us and to be very sensitive in all aspects of comfort, wellbeing and safety. The amenities of this well equipped and well run hotel are great - the comfortable room with perfect cleaning service, the restaurant with excellent food, drinks and staff and of course the helpful and friendly receptionists. We would like to mention Pam, Emese and Anton from the restaurant for their excellent service and for their rare ability to really make people comfortable and giving them an experience of warmth and love. In addition we would like to thank all the others of the crew - all our wished were fulfilled - it was amazing. Thank you all - we hope to see you again some day 🫶🏼
