A cool place with friendly servers and reasonably priced drinks. Dog friendly, as food is not cooked and distributed inside the bar. The kitchen is in the same building, but you have to go next door to purchase it. You can bring the food into the bar. Google said parking was not bad but that was a lie. Parking was awful at 5 pm on a Thursday. Pool table and cool crowd.
Absolutely LOVE their fresh food, it's always TOP! However... Esthetic and Eco-ethical suggestion: Dying plants are not appetizing.... The plants at this location are very dusty and would benefit from a shower once a week due to the high traffic location. Please consider getting plastic plants. If properly caring for a live plants is too much to maintain.
Amazing place. Sketchy location.
10/10 food 10/10 staff 10/10 location 10/10 atmosphere
A fabulous spot for lunch or dinner. Highest quality ingredients, shopped for daily by the chef owner. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Each area offers a different experience. The patio with the warmth of the sun amidst the urban buzz of downtown Oakland. Into the bar with a wall of windows and a soundtrack of Peruvian music to accompany your delicious meal, cocktails or coffee. Then there’s the internal dining area with views of the stunning artfully designed courtyard garden, visible through more walls of windows, with a view into the open kitchen. A great place for large parties and events. Centrally located across from the Marriott convention center and steps to BART, you can’t go wrong with a meal or event at Bocanova.
A great place for a quick bite for this price range. The food is always tasty, service is fast, atmosphere is fun, and you can enjoy that great 13th St. outdoor seating.
"We do not have alcohol - we are a vegan restaurant" - An argument I had not heard of before! The food was very good. The prices were low compared to the quality, so in terms of value for money this is absolutely the place to go to. Service was below average and the atmosphere is lousy, the chairs are unpleasant. It is more like a canteen than like a restaurant.
1.5 Pacific Catch Marina Trendy Marina District Great location, badly laid out No indoor seating; just outdoor seating with heaters This is the marina! By the time, the food gets to the table it is cold! Pluses: baja and steak tacos; tortillas were not hot Miso soup was not hot; it was very salty even for miso House water tasted like dish soap Table was dirty when we were seated by hostess Glassware was dirty Waitress made a mess of pouring the wine, including getting me wet Service was underwhelming DO NOT RECOMMEND
2 of our 5 diners were an average, others goof to very good. It isn’t as good as previous visit promised but still ranks as a solid neighbor restaurant with high prices. Halibut undercooked and average gnocchi while chicken and Bologna’s shined Very good burrata salad and bruschetta Desserts were excellent, terrific bread pudding Service average, wine list unremarkable and pricey. Parking is AWFUL.
The sashimi was very fresh also the peanut butter roll was so good. Noisy but fun atmosphere. Service was great!!
We chose this restaurant for our first night in SF mainly for its location near our hotel, in the Pacific Heights area, and also because of the great reviews. We were not disappointed. Having enjoyed a light meal at an earlier cooking class, we were happy to have later reservations. When we arrived on foot, the valet attendant greeted us warmly and opened the door. The place was full! We arrived about 15 minutes prior to our reservation so we waited a bit. The bar was packed so we waited near the hostess stand. We were led to a lovely table just outside the front door in a small, toasty, fireplace-lit room! There was even a personalized birthday card waiting for me! With only four tables, it’s a charming and intimate room but for the table of five women loudly celebrating a birthday. Our server, Chase was THE BEST! Without us saying anything, he apologized for the noise, noting we had requested a quiet table in our reservation. He told us they were getting dessert menus but he could move us if we wanted. We declined and the loud ones soon departed. The food is beyond delicious! My husband chose the duck breast and said it was just as good as one he had in France, which is his measuring stick for duck! I had the special John Dory and it was so moist and flavorful! Both were presented in such unique styles! Mine had a layer of scalloped potatoes that appeared to look like scales. Toasted just right, this layer provided a shield to keep the fish perfectly moist. A choice of breads, tasty amuse bouche, an amazing taste of the Sunchoke bisque made us regret not ordering a larger bowl for dinner, too! We ended with decadent beignets and a surprise slice of birthday confetti cake rounded out a perfect evening. We also appreciated the very extensive wine list and the way the sommelier brought our wines by the glass in the bottles and allowed us to taste a sip before pouring. In a city with so many great restaurants, this will forever be one of our favorites. Thank you so much for such a memorable evening! We can’t wait to return!
... for the always excellent cuisine proposed by Cristiano and Daniela. Regardless of the location, lunch or dinner in a place run by Cristiano and Daniela is always a joy, it is really to find oneself among old and dear friends. My husband and I found everything delicious, from mixed carp, to pan-fried rabbit with taggiasche olives, to desserts (ice cream at Baileys for my husband, peach cup and fior latte ice cream for me). The choice of wines and craft beers is also superb. Service is very friendly and quick, despite the full Sunday. The value for money is unbeatable these days (we spent 60 euros in two, drinks included).

Food was good, service was whatever, dining area could've been cleaner but I was also there late night post-clubbing so. I'd recommend for a quick traditional burger and fries.

Simply the best restaurant in the Inland Empire. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by the incredibly personal staff and enveloped in a cozy modern atmosphere. Soon, you'll drink the best cocktails you've ever had, and you'll eat food that is delicious and simply made with love. This is truly a restaurant where you can safely order off the special menu every time, but the standards are incredible too, and so is the Sunday brunch! "When you're here, you're family" is a trademarked line from another restaurant, but Nuno's makes it a reality.

This restaurant is a tourist trap in the worst sense of the phrase. As a Chinese American and a lifelong Bay Area resident, I PROMISE you that you can find much better and more affordable food elsewhere. Skip to the end for actual recommendations. My friends and I had been out all day and were very hungry and tired, so we were willing to overlook a lot of red flags given that most places had a wait time and this restaurant was conveniently located. That is one good thing-- the wait time here is very short. They have friendly staff pass out flyers to tourists on Grant and encourage them to come in. If their food was actually good, they wouldn't need to do all that in Chinatown! Long story short, this restaurant probably targets naive tourists and then charges crazy prices for food, while clearly cheaping out in other areas and being possibly unsanitary. We did get the promised free potstickers, but once we got the menu, we realized the food was ridiculously overpriced. Most dim sum was double the price of other spots, and it cost $20+ for a vegetarian entree, $25-35 for chicken or beef, and $30+ for seafood. Also, for such high prices, they did not even give us real utensils OR complimentary tap water. We got silver-colored plastic forks and bamboo throwaway chopsticks, and when we asked, the waiter told us they only had bottled water at $2 a bottle, and tea for $3 a person. In the US, I do not think I've ever been charged for plain water, and even in cheap Chinese restaurants, hot tea is usually complimentary! And all of that would have been tolerable given how hungry we were, but it gets worse. After some haggling with the waiter, we got him to bring us the waters for free. He gave us water and a stack of paper cups to share, but when my friends unstacked the paper cups, they realized the cups were WET ON THE INSIDE. We didn't even order any food because we were so disgusted that we left. From other reviews, it sounds like the food is awful and cheaply made as well. I assume this restaurant's business model is to lure in naive tourists, upcharge them for mediocre food and a "historic Chinatown experience," and still not provide normal stuff like tap water, tea, or actual utensils. I know that food in SF can be overpriced, and that some fire spots in Chinatown can have just okay service or sanitation. However, that's only excusable if the food is good. If you are a tourist, try Lai Hong Lounge for a nice sit down spot that is still cheaper than here, Good Mong Kok for grab and go dim sum, and Hon's Wun Tun House for fast casual soup and dumplings.

Our fist time here was amazing. The owner was so welcoming and accommodated us for my daughter’s birthday. Drinks were great, view was beautiful, parking was abundant. Will definitely come again, either on a girl’s brunch or date. The ferry is also so close where you can make a whole day visiting San Francisco.
