(French below) WARNING! Don't tip at this business! the owner steals them off of the employes! Disgusting owner and dirty practice I hope he reads this. A friend of mine who used work there gave me this information. AVERTISSEMENT! Ne donnez pas de pourboire à ce restaurant! le patron les vole aux employés! C'est dégoûtant, j'espère qu'il lira ceci. Un de mes amis qui travaillait là-bas m'a donné cette information.
1) no sanitary measures taken. Person who makes the sandwiches wears gloves but takes every clients buzzer when their meal is ready and continues making the sandwiches with the same gloves. Doesn’t even use the tongs available to get coleslaw, pickles, turnips. Does it with gloves. Then rolls sandwich up touching the meat with…yes, the gloves. 2) very expensive. Sandwich and small salad. No drink. $22.
A really bad experience today. We went to the store at 8pm, and were told right after that it would close at nine o'clock. As soon as we got our food and sit down, which was around 8:20, the staff started packing up and cleaning right next to us. I don’t know much about the closing process at Mandy’s, but it made us feel like we were not welcome. Also, the containers and cutlery for dine-in which used to be something really attract me are no different from those for takeout, It’s not worth wasting my time to eat in the store. (Not to mention that these costs $54) I used to love Mandy’s so much and always come here every time I’m in Montreal, but the experience is just getting worse every time. I hope the owner could pay more attention on keeping the reputation while opening tons of new locations.
A real nice small restaurant. The service is impeccable and the venue is clean, nice and inviting. The food was good. I will come back.
Amanda, our server was suuuuuper attentive and a an amazing conversionalist❣️ The new guy was also super polite and waited till we were done our conversation to pick up our plates, so cute and considerate 🥹🥰 As for the food, bro they got the best fricking fries I've ever had, super worth the buck. Basil chicken was delicate and not oily at all, it's clean and tasty. I appreciate as well the taste of green onion was fresh and that's something worth noting. It's a hella of a vibe in there as well with the ambient light & chill rnb music. Ideally if I'm eating like food food I'd love to be seated in a bench area but I was just chilling tonight. I heard there was live music on Saturdays, I will for sure be back for that! They did say to reserve for busy days do keep that in mind! 💕🥰🫶🏼
Amazing place!!! The food is the best I’ve ever tasted. Better than Basha or any other place I’ve had middle eastern food. Their prices are great for the quality and quantity. They poutine is better than Belle Province, in my opinion, their Shawarma wraps are the tastiest I’ve ever had and their potatoes with garlic sauce is perfection. The staff are super friendly and humble and keep the place super clean. You won’t regret coming here.
6 years ago I went for the visiting chef tasting menu . The paring with vines the meal was memorable . The next visit was ok .This time despite same owner it is not the same . I like my sardine cleaned from the organs or filleted and not to be given an attitude we the Portugiase we eat it that way especially what I believe were frozen with a bitter taste . The rest of the meal was bland just below average
A most unpleasant experience. We queued up to snack that was mission impossible, we decided to buy to go and my surprise was that things were left to put, yes! They cashed it in. The products of poor quality, the torrija was very bad, the palm tree was not of the day, the Neapolitan nuts and taste of nothing, local very, very dirty. I don't recommend it at all, After our experience I attest that the queue is for fame as the products are of very poor quality.
A totally gluten free menu, we were excited to try Arepara after reading other reviews. We found the restaurant clean, with interesting decor (that wasn’t Venezuelan), service was quite good (despite an error making change when paying the bill), and an interesting menu. We have eaten and enjoyed food in and from a number of Latin American cuisines. Perhaps Our limited previous encountering of Venezuelan food was atypical and it is supposed to be bland. Good textures, but little aromatic seasoning. One of the two table sauces did have a bit of a kick, though only a hint. Nothing was bad, just mildly disappointing after reading the reviews, emphasis n the ‘mild’
A complete delight from the moment we entered. The setting is warm, inviting, historic and charming. We felt transported to a cozy European spot. The service was exceptional. Amazing blend of exquisite service and elegance yet somehow still casual. No pretense, just exceptional attention. Water glasses prompted filled (a major plus to me) and attentive server who was happy to make suggestions with enthusiastic descriptions. When I dripped some garlic butter from the delicious shrimp in garlic butter appetizer a staff member promptly but unobtrusively arrived to wipe the spot off the white table cloth and place a clean napkin over it - come on, what attention to detail!! The food was excellent. I knew i loved this place when the warm loaf of bread was immediately delivered with a half stick of butter - not a silly pat, a half stick for the two of us. How did they know I’m a Wisconsin native and appreciate my butter? The rest of the meal was wonderful from that aforementioned shrimp in garlic butter to the gazacho and a lovely wedge salad to perfectly cooked steaks. The server asked our seasoning preferences - a first and welcome as I have some quirky needs. We were celebrating my husbands birthday and ordered desserts - his cheesecake was one of the best ever, saying a lot for the native New Yorker. He finished every morsel. Then they brought us a birthday cake in a box to take home. Good thing our hotel room has a refrigerator. We will enjoy the cake and savor our memories of one of our most exceptional dining experiences ever. The total package!
A real but unpretentious Italian gem in Downtown Montreal, Quebec Canada, It is big enough to not feel crowded but small enough to feel cosy. We Quebecoise love good food and expect the best and that is what you will get here. The only glass wall is at the entrance, so there is no reflected noise that can make it impossible to hear each other. The staff really understand food, many have been there for ages, always ways a good sign. The hot dishes come hot, so are the plates, a nice touch. The kitchen is open, so you can see that it is clean and tidy. One good indicator of a good restaurant is the bread, here it is crisp and crunchy on the outside and meltingly delicious inside; eating it with great olive oil and balsamic is paradice. The food is genuine Italian, not "Commercial" Italian that you get south off the border. Portions are generous, and the sauces are pure and not full of fillers that can make your mouth feel gummy. The servers are friendly, attentive, and helpful but never intrusive and I have never had them interrupt a conversation. Our friends and I have been going there for years, and you can safely know that we will be there for years to come.
A trip to the Middle East As a Syrian-Canadian, I visit my country once in a couple of years and really like the cuisine of the Middle East. It's been two years I haven't visited my home country and really miss it. So that's where I found Damas. At first, I wasn't really excited because middle east cuisine is really hard to master, you need a lot of experience, so I wasn't expecting a the best from them. The restaurant was quit empty this day, quickly a waiter comes and gives me the menu. In fact, the place is really clean and fancy the ceiling, the tables and the chairs are really beautiful. It really gave me a feeling that I am actually sitting in a restaurant at my homeland. I know the food so I don't really need explanation of the type of food to order. I took the lentil soup, Damas Shish Taouk and Pita bread with Labneh. It came pretty fast and the waiter was very friendly. At my surprise, the food was very very good, it wasn't what I was expecting at all. While eating if I close my eyes, complete silence expect the sound of the kitchen, the smell of the spices tickling my nose brings back the memories of me and my family at the dinner table eating together in our favorite restaurant. My father born and bread in Damascus was surprised too, the restaurant made a really good job reproducing the taste of the food. Unfortunately, it's not a place that you go to every week or month knowing that the place is expensive but it's definitely worth to go on a birthday or a holiday.

I ordered dosa with extra chutney and the chutney was mostly water and dosa was over cooked even tho I left in the notes to no over cook it. Who ever works in the afternoon shift doesn’t like to uphold the quality standards or just likes serving with worse quality standards than what I’ve come to expect, would appreciate if you looked into it. I ordered on Uber Masala dosa with extra chutney and it was not a good experience, chutney was mostly water and dosa was burnt or cooked on a pan not cleaned after prior use.

Had an absolutely wonderful dining experience here! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations. The food was exceptional - fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor. The portions were generous and well worth the price. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, and despite being busy, we didn't feel rushed. The dessert was the perfect ending to our meal. We'll definitely be returning soon and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal and excellent service. Five stars!

We passed Sol and entered La Mallorquina, we were having coffee in the lounge upstairs. All right until I went to the toilet. I'm sorry to have to say it's a shame that you have it that way, so dirty! A place of such prestige as La Mallorquina should not be allowed that customers have to see that dirt in the service since it deserved, harms the prestige of the pastry. I hope that my comment will be taken into account to correct this grave situation that I have witnessed today.

I live in the city and I have no idea why I have never been here before. The location is easy to access, the dining area is clean and classic and the food was fantastic. We ordered a few appetizers and they were all delicious, the caesar salad was tasty - not to creamy which is how I like it and the manicotti was fantastic. Our server Timothee was kind, attentive and friendly. I ate well and had a fantastic evening. I would definitely return.
