2 nights into a 5 night stay, and confident leaving a 5 star review. Great layout (1 bedroom suite), amazing location walking distance from anything you could ever need. Yes, the AC unit is loud but it drowns out busy street noise. Staff have been excellent, helping us with every request, including helping our son when the patio door came off the tracks and he was stuck out on the balcony! đ
2 stars. first time at chipotle and the workers were to fast and gave me beans when i didnât want them. the drink machine had no ice so all the drinks were warm. the food was spicy and i asked for the no spice. the store was very loud and the tables were not cleaned well. would not recommend
A 5 star hotel wouldnât rent out the room next to their check-in area to a club making it impossible to hear the front desk staff. They also couldnât hear what I was saying. We stayed 3 levels above the check-in level (where the club is) and we could still hear the music. Loud base all night with drunk people in the elevators and lobby.
10/10 across the board. Service, food, drinks, music, views - this place has it all.
7 ladies celebrating birthday of a cousin. Great choice for a restaurant to celebrate. We did the tasting menu which was excellent. Just the right amount of food properly phased serving. Brian our server is attentive and funny. Loved the live music we got to sing along with the performer.
A 1 star hotel for a 5 star price. Rooms are unbelievably small and in poor condition but they seem to be reasonably clean. Window had a view of concrete wall. It was quiet.
We planned a family dinner at Dockside in lieu of our sons upcoming wedding. This would be our first visit to Dockside and based primarily on the fact that there is a lovely patio that frequently passed . We reserved a patio well in advance. Gamily would be coming a long way and with a small baby, outside would be ideal. At 2 pm on the day, staff phoned to inform us that the patio would be closed due to the rain. It was too late and complicated to alter 6 peopleâs schedules. The huge room where we sat was hot, stuffy & noisy. No air conditioning. When asking about turning on the fan, they said " door was open. " Food was disappointing & unimaginative with limited menu items for non meat eaters. Macaroni & cheese! Mussels were skimpy & small portions of halibut decorated with a few peas & potato pops, left all of us leaving hungry. The place was packed. Baby and I, overwhelmed by the noise, spent half the time outside on the now dry patio. Service was mediocre. We repeatedly needed to request water refills although I watched a waiter at an adjacent table actually pour water for guests! Certainly not conducive to the experience we anticipated and at a hefty price. We're always willing to pay for atmosphere, sumptious food and a relaxing meal. While we understand challenges restaurants have faced, this is over the top. Particularly on such a special occasion. Rain does happen & many patios remain open. We returned home to eat some food.
Weâd read on the internet about their afternoon tea and thought of trying. We walked in at 2 pm on Sunday. A hostess with the name tag Zophia told us they were fully booked, but she could accommodate us for the last seating at 3 pm, âbecause of a cancellationâ. When he came at three, the tearoom was half-empty. The meal was slightly above (maybe) what you could get at a decent sandwich shop for 1/3 of their outrageous price of $65 pp. A tiny cup of a tasteless watery soup was followed by two stale brioches with supermarket-quality jam and clotted cream. The latter was actually pretty good, even though the waitress called it âchantillyâ. It should be noted that chantilly is French for whipped cream, which it was not, but, apparently, she thought that dumb Americans wouldnât know what clotted cream was, and chantilly sounded upscale. That was followed by tea with milk on the side - said milk mustâve stayed in the milk jug for at least a day, as it started forming a fat layer. The macaroons were dry - frozen stuff from Trader Joeâs tastes a lot better, etc. Shall I continue? One sentence summarizes it all. A ripoff.
$100 deposit on old fashioned keys!! Thin walls are thin and the nightclub is loud The staff smoke just past the door so a pleasant walk into the establishment through their smoke One set of towels in our room for 2 Blinds with light coming from all 4 sides in window but no curtains Not recommended!
Toqué has an elegant interior with well-spaced out tables; the resulting noise level is low making for easy conversation. We chose the à la carte menu instead of the tasting menu. Initially, we found dishes such as the veal carpaccio and suckling pig loin to be flavorful, however, the more we sampled the dishes the more we found them to be somewhat confusing to the palate. There were too many different flavors and ingredients that did not mix well when eaten together, which is why we have given this otherwise excellent restaurant a four-star rating. The wine list is extensive and varied, with many high-quality wines available by the glass using the Coravin system. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and helped us with good suggestions from the Coravin choices. This allowed us to individually pair interesting wines with different dishes. Overall, the service was professional and efficient, while also being helpful and friendly.
Don't know why this place is not packed but grateful as we have had the best food such a relaxed atmosphere. So glad we ended up in a different hotel and had to Find somewhere else to eat. Tiny bruschetta and mozza/ marina breads plus warm buns with butter and oil and balsamic vinegar to start a wonderful caprese salad. The lasagna and the veal Parmesan were so flavorful and tender. The attention to detail encompassing the extra bread and oil to the huge bowl of mixed nuts to crack brought to the table after the main was incredible. We are so glad we went inside thinking we could go upstairs on the terrace to dine. Nothing outside could match the intimate quiet experience of this old world charm dining. We'll be back. Xo
I dont usually give reviews but feel like this great little restaurant deserves one. I'm staying at the hotel next door so I thought I'd give Italia Bella a try on the recommendation of the hotel staff. I'm so glad I did. The staff was very welcoming and sat me at a quiet table by the window. I wasn't too busy so I didnt have to worry about covid spacing. Comfortable chairs, nice italian music(not too loud) and smelled fantastic. It was hard to decide but eventually I took the waitress advice and ordered the bruschetta to start. Followed but the baked Gnocchi gorgonzola. I was not disappointed. The bruschetta came on homemade bread that was to die for. Large portion also. The main course of Gnocchi was even better. I'm not joking. You have to try this place out. Food was amazing. Service was amazing. Price was amazing. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Vancouver. Thanks for a great meal Italia Bella.

The food and drinks are great, and the service is attentive. However when the restaurant is full/busy it is unbearably loud. You have to yell at each other to have any type of conversation.

We waited an hour and a half for our food. Our reservation was for 7:00 pmâwe were seated at 7:15 and had our order in by 7:30. By 8:00, we still did not get our food and we were told our food had been accidentally given to another table. It honestly felt like our order may not have been put in at all. Both were frustrating. Our food was served to us by 8:30pm. Throughout the evening, service was lackingâno water refills and very little check-in from our server. Also disappointed, as we were celebrating a birthday and noticed other tables receiving a small dessert for special occasions, but nothing was acknowledged for us. The food itself was good, but overpriced. The vibe is nice if you enjoy loud music. I was really excited to try this place, but unfortunately, the experience didnât live up to expectations. I wonât be returning

Was easy to get to and check in/park. I kept hearing band music every few minutes for about 20 seconds.. on the 12th floor. Found a grape on the floor. Very dusty. There is no fridge or microwave in the room......... haven't checked our the pool yet I'm sure it will be fine for my child and as long as the hot tubs working hot enough and not filled with old men in spedos that will be the highlight.

The bed and pillows were quite comfortable and the room was very clean. The bathroom products were nice. The rooms are stylish, although the floor to ceiling windows in our room were in the bathroom. There was a shade with a gap on either side - I was a bit self-conscious about the Starbucks across the street! There is a small bar downstairs which plays loud club music which is piped into the lobby and elevators. I requested a 6th floor room as some other reviewers complained about noise from the bar and gym downstairs. Our room was comfortable and quiet. The staff were all completely lovely. The location is walkable to BC Place and several restaurants.
