$ 9.99 for 5 cheese sticks tasted like they were frozen. We went with a groupon and were treated second class. Was told the Groupon would only cover dinner items ( Groupon said anything on the menu ) Would not give us the salads that came with the dinner items. And the sauces were not as good a Olive Garden and I don't consider Olive Garden a good example of Italian food. The back room was much better looking than the garish front. So, I thought the value was poor, the service somewhat hostile and the food mediocre. Would never go back
$71 for a dry meager piece of Dover sole without any side dish is over the top ridiculous even for Manhattan. This was a special so the price wasn’t noted anywhere. I might have asked the waitress for the price but we were entertaining a friend from Europe & didn’t want to appear tacky. If the fish was extraordinary I would have overlooked the expense but unfortunately this wasn’t the case. The bill for four people for 2 cocktails, 1 glass of wine,1 coke & 3 fish and 1 chicken dish with no appetizers or desert was with tip over $400- there are many, many other great restaurants in New York -skip this one

A very big warning against the Da Vinci Hotel, which will be quite difficult to find as their quite dirty old front is somewhat hidden in the quite dirty street they're located in, and doesn’t reflect their prices. In general, the hotel is nothing like on the website - while looking like a fancy boutique hotel on the official pictures, the lobby is quite shabby and there’s a strong odour of the quite distinct rat- and cockroach repellent which is being used in old buildings in New York. As the hotel has a restaurant in the basement and is old and unmaintained, the pests come up to the rooms and there was a quite large cockroach in my room. My room was their most expensive category and the TV, which I had paid a lot of money to be able to relax in front of, did not work. The hotel staff and management were quite arrogant about it, just said the maintenance person was “out of town” all day and evening - and maybe the next day too. A Wednesday in Times Square? Booking.com did what they could to get my money back from the management but didn’t succeed and instead gave me a voucher. There’s in particular one receptionist who's quite nasty, will speak your first name in a condescending way etc. Both receptionists were shockingly dishonest. Also, please note that unless you buy the most expensive category, which is often more expensive than the last-minute deals at the nearby Hilton and Marriott hotels, your room will face back walls and noisy restaurant fans, not a very charming situation. This review will go back on top of Google a couple of times a month to warn other travellers as I know how much most people look forward to their sometimes once-in-a-lifetime New York trip. Furthermore, many people don’t like to leave negative feedback or forget to leave it and just stay away. Do yourself a favour and choose any other hotel in the area. Da Vinci Hotel clearly does not deserve to be in business and probably won't be for very much longer. Give yourself a better New York experience than described in the above - You deserve it.
$12 for a Tito's and soda. Insulting is an understatement. Heard lots of great things about this place, but I have no idea what they were talking about. The place is small, with uncomfortable chairs and way overpriced drinks. The menu is pathetically small and overpriced. Additionally they had a "security guard" at the door, which was very off putting. Never ever going to spend another penny here. Move on to places that actually care
$I only gave this place 1 star because I could not give it 0 We read on the internet that this place had award winning wings, a buddy and I order 2 half dozen each which came to 32$ (wild price for 12 wings) we didn’t mind the price to get good award winning wings, we left with our 12 wings and ate at work otherwise I wouldn’t have walked back in and demanded a refund. The boneless wings were tiny gross burnt chicken nuggets smaller then Wendy’s and McDonald’s nuggets smothered in sauce, the ranch and blue cheese were gross they tasted old and expired and freezer burnt freezing cold and chunky even the ranch. For 32 dollars I expect real wings not tiny chicken nuggets and for a half dozen I expect 6 wings I guess the cook can’t count because I had 5 in each order, I wouldn’t eat here even it was free, after spending 32$ on these chicken nuggets we were starving, my worst purchase and food experience in NY in 10 years, do not go here for wings there are a million other cheaper options that taste a lot better and give you a lot more food. I spent 30+ at pug uglies and the boneless wings tasted amazing and were giant , 10 of them lasted me 2 days.

We worked with Connie at Buenos Aires Tours and she was fabulous. She helped us plan our entire trip from Buenos Aires, Iguazu Falls, Salta, Jujuy and Patagonia. She booked all our flights and hotels and excursions catering it to our needs and price points. The trip was incredible and went off without a hitch. She always checked in on us to make sure which was greatly appreciated. She also helped me out on my flight home ( which I booked) and went to great effort to ensure I was on the flight and checked in. I would highly recommend Connie and her guides were outstanding in each region. Robin Cooper

Added 26 Mar. 2026, after I'd waited a month for a reply to a complaint I submitted, which I did not receive: I'm sad to see that, like so many other once-quality businesses, Eataly seems to have become a victim of its own success: the more locations they open, the worse service becomes at the older locations, as if loyal customers were being taken for granted. On my last visit there, I was ignored for some 10 mins at the espresso counter, until a v nice young lady came by, apologised for the wait, and took my order -- apparently more than the three+ coworkers of hers who simply passed by without saying a word could be bothered or expected to do. That was the highlight of my visit, the rest of which was spent (or wasted) trying to pay for a few other items and waiting for someone to void out one of them (again, assistants were too busy chit-chatting and goofing around to even notice me waiting). Never going there again! *************************************************************************** Good variety, and service was courteous today -- which has often not been the case. Other downsides: a lot of items are overpriced, and some categories of merchandise are hard to find (no signs).

Great mixology here, great cocktails. I really enjoy having great conversations here. I come here often, and service has always been great. Prices are a bit reasonable for what you get, but it's a good time every time I'm in the Chinatown area. Great place!
