$10 for a small mid matcha is robbery.

$12 for a Tito's and soda. Insulting is an understatement. Heard lots of great things about this place, but I have no idea what they were talking about. The place is small, with uncomfortable chairs and way overpriced drinks. The menu is pathetically small and overpriced. Additionally they had a "security guard" at the door, which was very off putting. Never ever going to spend another penny here. Move on to places that actually care

$18 per glass of wine and when we went up to bar to request napkins and more water for the table, napkins from the bathroom and glasses of water were rudely shoved onto our table while our empty water glasses laid unattended on the table. Also, this place only has a few food items that are all salty items to ensure patrons keep drinking their overpriced drinks. Here’s a hot tip: If you have run out of napkins at a venue like this, have some sense send someone down the street to buy appropriate napkins to get you through your shortage. Do not commingle things from the bathroom on dining tables, particularly when you price your menu this way. There are much better cocktail and wine spots in Tribeca…and the city at large. So, that’s where I will go…

** Be Aware, There Is No Elevator ** We found this hotel after our NJ airbnb got cancelled 2 weeks before our trip. We needed a suite room and my husband found the Sohotel. We really loved this hotel and its Vibe. Very clean and the staff was accommodating. Husband uses a mobility scooter but is able to walk very short distances so the hotel allowed us to store his scooter on first floor while our room was on 2nd floor. Check in is on 2nd level. If you cannot do stairs or have a scooter, baby stroller you will have to carry it up or store it in storage room on main level. Staff were great with letting us in/out of the room when needing the scooter. Rooms were adorable, small but doable. Very very clean. Small fridge. Air conditioner could have worked a little better to cool the room, while I was fine, the remainder 4 people of my group preferred it a little cooler and air was on max. We survived though. Loading/unloading luggage is not available, they have no official area to do so so you will likely have to do it swiftly while stopped in the middle of Broome Street. Hot coffee/tea available in main lobby. Very close to subway stations so easy to get to main attractions. If you fear taking the subway please don’t, it is so quick and easy to use, way cheaper than an Uber/Taxi. Location is not close/within close walking distance to any big attractions, Be prepared to walk or take subway/uber.

**Mixed Experience: Fantastic Location but Be Cautious with Valuables** I write this review with a balanced perspective, as my experience was mixed. Starting with the positives, the hotel is in a fantastic location in Chinatown, close to great eateries, opposite a lovely park, and conveniently near the subway. Our family room was enormous! The main area had one bed, a kitchenette where we could prepare meals, and a full-size fridge. There was also a bar with stools for us to sit at. Off to the side was a small alcove with a second bed. The room was clean, well-maintained, and although in need of a renovation, it offered plenty of space. Now for the negatives – we had a deeply concerning incident where our child's prescription medication went missing from our locked hotel room. While we acknowledge that we should have locked it in the safe before leaving for the day, the fact remains that it was gone when we returned that night. The hotel staff were helpful in searching the rubbish to ensure it wasn’t accidentally thrown out, but unfortunately, we ended up without our daughter's medications for a week. This situation was incredibly distressing and unacceptable as we had to lodge a formal police report at a local NYPD Precinct. Additionally, the hotel uses a centralized temperature control system, so you can't regulate the temperature in your own room. They keep it quite warm, making it hard to sleep comfortably. When they switch it to cool, it becomes very cold. Overall, while the hotel has many great qualities, I recommend keeping your valuables, including medications, securely locked up when staying here, as we found out that room security is not guaranteed.

*CHEAP AS HELL! 1000% - I’m extremely cheap to the core…. But that’s just me, !!! if *you* value comfort and ambiance , then THIS PLACE will most likely NOT be suitable for you or your standards, and I say that with respect for the establishment……. I would avoid this option if you are traveling with women or children,…. NO OFFENSE/Just my honest opinion *To the solo man traveler : 1. Amazing location for the *Bottom Dollar rate* the price is unbeatable! Smack dab in the middle of downtown manhattan 5 stars for the price and 5 stars for the location!!! 2. NOT A HOSTLE. ROOMS ARE PRIVATE bedrooms are small Prison cells with a small cott and a small table and mine had a fan for air flow. **** I say this as I am a SINGLE MAN and American traveler so I •don’t need• anything more. But , Place beats any hostel! (( 5 stars because a small bed-cell is better than a shared room!

We were SCAMMED! Expensive as hell!! we were charged multiple things without prior notice, such as a service charge 15%, a floor charge of 40$ and other things. When asked about it, they claimed it was standard practice and weren’t able to provide us with an unanimous response about the charges. Some claimed it was tips, another waitress said it was state regulation, …. Moreover, on top of it all, we had to pay an extra 10% tip because the waitress claimed the tax service was not part of the tip!!! RIDICULOUS. Trust me, you don’t want to go to the Hudson Yards Tavern. Additionally, the food was acceptable at best and the music was too loud. All things considered, I would not even recommend the Hudson Yards Tavern to my worst enemy.

The Stinger is a charming place to eat or hang out but it is very expensive--even for NYC. We got a couple of appetizers to go and they were delicious. A full meal here would break the bank.

!! BIG SCAM !! They will charge you 65 dollars for 2 cocktails and later end up with saying that there is a small sign saying tips are needed to pay. DONT GO IN HERE!!!

Had a dinner in Delmonicos for New Year's Eve with my wife. I'd heard great things and the food did not disappoint. One of the best steaks I've had. It was expensive, which I expected and was happy to pay. The only thing is that the waiters seemed to be very amateur. They mixed up my dessert and our wine orders, spilled half a glass of champagne all over our table when trying to refill a glass, and routinely yanked away our plates as soon as they thought we had finished (even if we were still chewing!). None of this was a deal breaker but I was a bit peeved when they automatically added 20% service to our bill, given the sup par service we received.

Stepping into the restaurant, I felt like I was transported to old Italy - groin vaulted ceilings, opera music in the background, Italian-speaking (and singing) staff. USD79 for a 3-course prix fixe menu was pretty good value for money, considering the standard of food, size of servings and the inclusion of amuse bouche and palate clesnser. I would describe everything that was served as "good old Italian fare". For example, if you ordered the pappardelle bolognese (primi), you would get fresh and unadulterated pasta that represent traditional excellence. The highlight for me though, must have been the veal chop (piatti principale), which was most flavourful.

Even though I wrote our food was fair, don't let that scare you off because my wife & I went there with 3 other couples and their food was terrific. My wife and I, and one other person ordered the Stir fry. My wife & I ordered it with the chicken, and our friend ordered it with shrimp. Our chicken was very hard and dry and the veggies that came with it were straight out of a La Choy can. Not good at all. It came on a bed of rice which was the best part of the meal. Our friends shrimp was ok, a bit small but tasty. She said the greens were terrible and didn't eat most of them. The other couples ordered the Short ribs and were terrific. Others ordered the fish fry and was also great. One person ordered the surf N turf and it was excellent as well. The wine and beer selection was also very good and the prices were fair. We'd probably go back and try again but will order something else, like one of the speciality pizzas that they are known for. We just figured we'd try something new and it didn't work out this time. The service was very good. The layout was a bit funky, but we were seated in a little cuddy off the main room which was good because some of the ladies got a bit loud after a couple glasses of wine.

Crowded on the weekend, we walked in around 1630. Food was okay, happy hour portions are tiny as their happy hour oysters. Vibe was great, service was great and attentive.

Great mixology here, great cocktails. I really enjoy having great conversations here. I come here often, and service has always been great. Prices are a bit reasonable for what you get, but it's a good time every time I'm in the Chinatown area. Great place!

Is this one of the overrated places? Minetta burger was good, but not great. Steak fries was ok, but not good. Large portions of fries for both dishes. Drinks for $23 are expensive. Good atmosphere and nice service. Cool local. Fun to have been there, but not an experience to carry on or that results we come back.

If you like feeling authentic without fanfare or self promotion, go here! The drinks are likely the best in the city! The ambience is so many levels of cool I can’t even. Try their small plates to share with friends and stay for a while. This bar seeps into you slowly and you’ll be changed by the experience.
