2/5; Very Dissatisfied. Room was Filled of Damages. Me and my friend began our 1-Night stay at this hotel. In a matter of five minutes, I was able to check-in and enter the room I paid $250 for. We were sent to Room 603. As soon as we entered the room, I encountered 2 roaches together but quickly killed it. Then when entered the bathroom, not only the soap dispensers located in the shower and near the sink were broken but had no soap inside. We were left with two lotions which were opened. It made me question if this room was cleaned. Moving on, I had to call housekeeping for soap more than two times to receive the item 30 minutes later. The housekeeper only brought one soap to share which I think is not great since I stated both soap dispensers were broken. Then next to the mini fridge, there seemed to be red dye or paint and it looks old and untouched that it was hard to clean or wipe it. Then near the closet space, a hanger was missing and broken so me and my friend could not hang out clothes for the next day. And finally, the 50 inch TV was glitching that it turned on and off by itself once. After all this, I spoke to the front desk and he stated that management would be connected. What should have been different is how it was handled. I was immediately dismissed when I told the man at the front desk the inconveniences that were in my room with my friend, an additional guest. Nothing was resolved and I spent $250 on a room that had damages written all over it. I hoped to receive credit or reach some kind of agreement for the duration of my stay because I was extremely unsatisfied and I have spent nights in this hotel before. 2/5; very dissatisfied.
7.9% fee added under tax area called "Local Fee"-not a tax just a junk fee that goes straight to the hotel. So I looked for the best rate for a last minute trip to Niagara Falls and settled on the skyline as it was connected to the water park. I bought the package on their website. The hotel is run down, its a keep your shoes on kind of place full of families. I would not have complained were it not for a bigger bill then I had expected. I emailed them and asked for a print out or copy trying to understand the extra cost thinking they had charged me twice for parking. I ended up sending this email: I have reviewed my bill and gone online to try and understand what the 7.9% area tax was that I was charged. You see I was choosing between 2 hotels and would have chosen differently if I was aware of the extra tax and so was invested in figuring it out. I discovered that you have a) included a fee I had no choice but to pay-but not included it in the advertised price. Which I feel is false advertising of your room rate. And b) that you have included it next to my taxes with a description made to disguise this fee as a tax not being collected by you as a hotel. A quick google search brought this to my attention long after my stay. I am tired of these tactics to lure customers and then charge them different rates. I am requesting a refund of this as it is not included in the stated room charge I agreed to, clearly the room is more than you are stating online (and I purchased directly from you, on your website). This is not fare to customers as it takes away their ability to comparison shop and provides an inaccurate quote of what their holiday will cost. I am so annoyed with hidden fees, and according to CBC which has an article on these being charged in the area 100% of the funds go to the hotel and it is a scam fee made to look like a tax that goes to the municipality. I think these should not be legally allowed-especially because they hide as taxes. People are always complaining about taxes, but those should go to health care and schools. Companies pretending to be charging taxes are a serious problem. I would be much less annoyed if they didn't included in under my taxes, named as a type of area fee.
A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT This place needs an urgent makeover. The curtain valence in our room was burnt where both ceiling lights shown down on it. Sections of two pieces of bedroom furniture had areas where the vaneer was ripped off. The paint on the interior base of the windows had very-deep cracks and was peeling off. The heater made a loud "tapping" noise when the heat came on. The drain in the bathtub took forever to drain after showering. It gets worse: there's a $45 per day "Resort Fee" that is charged after they tell you that you have $10 a day credit in the lounge. The "Resort Fee" covers Wi-Fi, a fitness center off-property, and USE OF THE LOUNGE. Breakfast, unknown to us, was to end at 11 a.m. today. We arrived at 10:50 a.m. and were told, "We're closed". A female employee standing at the bar was about to pour the contents of a very-large-commercial coffee brewer down the drain. I asked for a cup of it when she started pouring it. She once again reminded me, "We're closed". For this I paid $45 today so I can have "use" of the lounge. The tubs don't drain, the paint is cracked and peeling, the furniture came from a landfill, and food is not always available. Wait until you hear this place had a very-needed makeover before you stay here.
#1 for active families We are a family of 6 and had a fantastic time. Great team, great location. Thanks for making it possible to get two rooms with a connecting door upon easy request. We would always come back!
25th Anniversary spent at Harbour House My husband and I stayed at Habour House Hotel for our 25th Anniversary. it was our second visit. We stayed for three days two nights. The employees were amazing. They helped us connect to some fine dining to celebrate our special day. Our room was wonderful. I asked for some extra things, and they had it all ready when we checked it. Thank you so much. We loved it. Once again breakfast was delicious. Compliments to the cook. We met new people and had wonderful conversations and of course wine was delicious. We look forward to seeing everyone again. We already booked another three days to return in July. We can't wait. We are so excited. Great job to all the staff. They are all such wonderful people. See you in July :)
A beautiful, beaux-arts building in a well-located spot downtown. The check-in staff are always delightful, and the rooms are always impeccable. A good choice for a downtown stay, and the nearby subways connect you to anywhere else you need to go. The room rates vary considerably across dates, so if you're flexible, you might be able to snag a decent rate (by NYC standards).
$700+/night?! Dirty room carpets, no coffee machines, bed side outlets connected to the light switch?! (re: phone doesn’t charge at night), bathroom auto light switch?! (re: turns fully on when enter at night), neighboring doors slamming (re: doors with no soft close), almost none re:outside noise insulation. I hoped it was just my bad experience, but management confirmed the owners visited the hotel couple weeks prior my stay and apparently planned on changing “things”. Great location, but why charging so much for so little?
1. Air conditioner is ridiculously loud 2. Only one out of the three elevators work 3. The TV can’t be connected to any signals so you can’t watch anything. 4. Very loud noises from the street
100% not worth the near 900 dollars that I spent for 2 nights… The service was nice and friendly. The room carpet had numerous large stains and the bed sheets/covers did as well. The blinds don’t cover the windows fully. The tvs home channel advertises the ability to use streaming services or connect your phone, but they don’t actually do either of those things… Separate company but they associate with them, the valet service(Joyce parking) brought my vehicle back with a flat tire and essentially said oh well… will not be back to this hotel.
77 Alley the restaurant connected to the hotel was top notch. It was such a great food experience. John the server was so amazing and kind. The perfect spot fresh off the airport. Also the owner had the best vibes. He didn’t rush me and told me to chill even when they were closing! Very welcoming. I had some issues with the room however the restaurant is the real star!
A good lodging option in the Flushing area of New York. The good: it is located in an area close to a train station that connects you with the places that every tourist would want to visit. Next to it there is a shopping mall with many food options. The service is fast and the rooms are clean. The bad: it's not close to the most touristy area of Manhattan.
Absolutely stunning! A home from home with a friendly team and warm welcome. The rooms are beautifully designed with attention to detail and luxury on another level. We stayed as a family of four for the weekend to show the boys the city sights, a dream come true for them. A great location and easy to access from the airport and local transport. The concierge were knowledgeable, helpful and offered top tips for the local area. The Teams’s thoughtful touches added throughout our stay made it most memorable. The breakfast is the best in town hosted in a relaxing restaurant, service with a smile and delightful design - attention to detail on every level. The bar is buzzing and evening meals are marvellous. Family friendly, ladies lunch, business meeting or dining solo, Warren Street is the place to be. The scallops were succulent and plated perfectly on Kit Kemp’s Tall Trees collection. The design, ambiance and enticing menu exudes charisma and cosy connections. We are BIG firmdale fans and have stayed in many of their hotels in both London and New York. Warren Street is a wonderful addition to the TriBeCa community and a must visit. Thank you for another excellent experience, we’ll be back!

A Generally Positive Experience as the hotel Transitions from Embassy Suites to Hyatt Regency Phenomenal location with breathtaking views of the falls and in-season nightly fireworks! Well worth paying the extra cost for the falls view rooms! Renovations are still taking place as the hotel transitions from Embassy Suites to Hyatt. We shared many elevator rides during the day with workers performing the renovations and ferrying materials with which to work. The elevator system needs some work - we experienced waits for elevators from 38th floor to lobby of at least five to ten minutes throughout our three night stay. Hotel staff was very friendly, receptive, and responsive to requests for information and assistance. Reasonable walking distance to the falls, amusement park - carnival area, restaurants, falls boat tour and to our surprise - a casino! Lyft service was fast and easy to hop around the area! Room cleaning was performed late afternoon - early evening which was somewhat disappointing. The indoor pool area and hot tubs were clean and enjoyable. Internet was slow and access inconsistent. Room rates were on par with other properties in the area the area. Noise levels within and outside the property were tolerable and not an issue.

Amazing views Worth it for the amazing view to wake up too, we had a room on the 29th floor. Huge windows that cover the width of the room. The room was modern, a reasonable size, good for us as we were out all day. Coffee machine made surprisingly good coffee! Bathroom was small but adequate, again modern. Staff were friendly on check in out. 25th floor there is an observation desk, free for guests. So you can get the 360 view. 26th floor there is a IHOP restaurant. Over rated in my opinion. Wi-Fi was good and free. Housekeeping is on request, not a problem we were able to get extra coffee pods and milk very easily.

While I appreciate the breakfast service at staybridge hotel and would consider staying there again, I did encounter some issues during my recent visit at Holiday Inn Express. I was fined for smoking in my room , which I accepted as a reasonable consequence. However, I experience inconsistent TV service in my room, which affected my children significantly as they were unable to watch TV for 2 days. Although the hotel provided internet and other services, I would recommend that families bring backup options to ensure uninterrupted entertainment, thereby avoiding any potential distress during what should be an enjoyable vacation

Beautiful hotel in really great shape HOWEVER, what hotel do you ever see today that still does not have a safe in the room for your laptop etc? Unbelievable! They also have no password to protect internet access. Along the same lines, where do you have a hotel with a pool, but still no hot tub. Can't recall that happening in years! Gorgeous indoors pool, palm trees, bar, but no hot tub. Only a few rooms apparently with in room hot tubs. If you don't mind the safe and hot tub issues, a great hotel.
