Smelly room, such that they set room temperature at 17 to control smell, broken sink, very small hair dryer and old furniture.... not recommend at all.
11/03/25 The hotel has the basic services and is mainly for overnight stays. It needs maintenance and the cleaning isn't done well. Also, the breakfast is very basic; they could improve in those aspects. We stayed for 8 nights first, the room was okay, although ants were coming out of the bathroom. They told me it was due to the change of season. We returned two days later, and that last night the heating wasn't working. They had to move us to a "better" room, but we noticed they hadn't swept well. These are areas for improvement. What saved the stay was the excellent service from the manager Angie and Priscila, who helped me with my requests at all times. It's a hotel just for sleeping and going out to do activities the next day. We used it for that; we went out every day to the nearby mountains; it's 10 minutes from Grouse Mountain, 30 minutes from Cypress, and 35 minutes from Seymour. It's located right at the entrance to North Vancouver, 12 minutes from Downtown.
2 adults 1 baby. The hotel was very accomodating of our child and us. Arranging shuttle with car seat to/from airport, crib in the room amongst other things. Location was perfect, as I was in Vancouver for work. Room was beautiful (though a little dark) staff were all very friendly. Lobby restaurant was excellent.
2 nights into a 5 night stay, and confident leaving a 5 star review. Great layout (1 bedroom suite), amazing location walking distance from anything you could ever need. Yes, the AC unit is loud but it drowns out busy street noise. Staff have been excellent, helping us with every request, including helping our son when the patio door came off the tracks and he was stuck out on the balcony! š
A 1 star hotel for a 5 star price. Rooms are unbelievably small and in poor condition but they seem to be reasonably clean. Window had a view of concrete wall. It was quiet.
1. So bad smell inside the room. INTOLERABLE 2. The bathroom and all the surfaces were extremely DIRTY. A General cleaning is needed. 3. The young girl who has duty in the evenings joked me. Television didn't work and I requested from her to fix it. She never responded. 4. Too much noise at night time. No any respect to the resting hours.
2 elevators were always broken and out of service. Only 2 were working but had to wait an average of 5-10minutes everytime we needed to use the elevator. Wifi is never fast average speed was 3 Mbps. If you wanted to do a video call, impossible. Youtube and Netflix was painful to watch because of the lack of internet speed. Since the hotel is close to the hospital ambulance sirens on for 24x7.
1st time stay. Very helpful and professional staff. Breakfast was ample and varied. Wish they would offer congee as an item on a la carte Vs buying breakfast option. I overheard table beside that it was $12 for a bowl, which seems a little gaugey for overcooked rice. Restaurant is small, so expect a little delay at peak breakfast times. Lisa the concierge was very helpful and welcoming. Porters and valet courteous. Gym and pool were adequate. This stay was very pricy but location is everything. Safe, clean and walkable to everywhere. My only issue is elevatorā¦this residential building turned into commercial hotel explains why only two elevators. It gets really bad in morning, when some go for breakfast, checkout, leave hotel. At one point, it was better to get on when ascending, in order to secure a spot when descending. Thereās a tv screen beside elevator⦠why oh why canāt there be a live feed of the two elevator positions? Some patrons may elect to take stairs if they are o lower floors or going to the gym. Food for thought. Overall, classical hilton experience. Great.

I spent 6 nights at this hotel, and they were by far the worst nights Iāve ever had in any hotel. I arrived on the scheduled day for check-in, and at 4 PM, my room still wasnāt ready. The front desk host informed me that Iād have to wait even longer, or as an alternative, I could take a temporary room on the first floor (right above a nightclub), with the promise that the next day I would be moved to a quieter floor, since we were staying through the weekend and the club would be open until 3 AM. I agreed to take the temporary room for ONE night since my wife and I were tired of waiting, and the host had assured us weād be moved the next day. The next day comes, and I get a call in the hotel room from a staff member speaking to me aggressively, telling me I had 20 minutes to leave the room and would need to wait at least 2 hours to get a new one. So my wife and I start rushing to pack our things and get out, and then I get a second call from the same staff member saying that actually, no other rooms were available and I would HAVE to stay in that room for the entire stay. Not only did the staff I dealt with have absolutely no sense of customer service, but I ended up having a hellish weekend with music blasting until 3 AM and the floor literally shaking from the bass. Long story short, I wouldnāt recommend this hotelānot even to my worst enemy.

When we arrived for check-in Bella who was working the front desk was very nice and professional. She had great communication and she even gave us an upgrade. Weāve stayed at the downtown location before and weāve always have had a great experience.

This is the singular most disappointing place I have ever stayed by choice. The property is very worn out. It is dirty. Service: outside of the bellman, service is indifferent, distant and uninterested. The room was very dated. Clean is a subjective word. Will you get sick? No. Did you feel good about walking barefoot, No. Outstanding service can elevate a poor facility. That is not the case here. Food: We were there during the slow part of the slow season. I was hoping to at least have a decent meal. That didnāt happen. I was trying to find a reasonable comparison from previous travel. The buffet food on the last day of a Carnival Cruise is light years better. You will enjoy the food more at a Golden Coral. Pricing: This is more than The Wynn, Bellagio, The Ritz at Occonee etc. The pricing structure with add ons make the folks in Las Vegas look like rookies. Everything has several resort taxes. The historic preservation fund fee is laughable. The property is so run down it brings a tear to your eye. Bottom line, donāt waste your money. A staycation downtown at home with a meal at a nice restaurant would have been more memorable and considerably less money.

We arrived in Vancouver after staying in Whistler for a week. I was informed by a friend that North Vancouver was the best place to stay. Seaside Hotel was right in the area. I was a bit lost on how to get inside but when we figured that out it was a complete escape. The people were so friendly and helpful. They were quick at loading up our stuff to our room. Mark spent the extra time explaining the light switches, the taps and all the items the room came with. The cleaning staff the next day were all smiling and welcoming and despite the fact we said we didnāt need the bed made, they were still offering any help needed that they were there. This place is a great location and I would highly recommend
