Very slow service
"We are regular customers at this restaurant, but our latest visit was very disappointing due to the service we received. Our server, Kegan, was noticeably rude. He walked away in the middle of taking our order and consistently ignored our table, while engaging extensively with other guests. We felt disrespected and the treatment was very unfair and discriminatory.
"We’ve been coming here for many years, and it's sad to see the place falling apart. They changed the door locks without informing anyone. The rooms are in serious need of repairs, and the reception staff hasn’t been helpful."

Great service!
After a lighthearted evening watching & Juliet, we made our way to Scaddabush for some Italian comfort food. All of EnD Adventures was together — our daughters, friends, and the two of us — which already set the tone for a memorable night out. Despite the restaurant being packed, we were seated quickly. Our server, Noah, stopped by early with menus and the nightly specials. It was clear the entire team was hustling; drinks took longer than usual, but Noah was doing everything he could to keep the pace. The space itself was a delight. Warm lighting, thoughtful décor, and those whimsical canned vegetables added a quirky charm that made the room feel inviting and full of character. There was always something interesting to notice. The fresh mozzarella — their signature — absolutely lived up to its reputation. Creamy, rich, and beautifully prepared, it was easily the standout of the table. Our meals arrived hot and exactly as ordered, and everyone enjoyed their choices. The only real downside was the long gaps between check-ins for drink refills or questions. With several large tables nearby and the restaurant buzzing, it was understandable, though still noticeable. All in all, it was a lovely evening, and we’d happily return — perhaps to a quieter location next time, just to see how the service feels when the pace isn’t quite so intense. Had booked a double room for 7 nights mid-September 2017. Hotel is 15 minutes walk from nearest subway ( Joyce Collingwood ), part uphill. A small hotel with ground and first floor ; probably 20 odd rooms in total. Complimentary parking in the basement. External look of the hotel is unappealing being on the main road(Kingsway); reception is small but presentable. Were checked into a large room which was dull. Room had 2 Queen beds as the only room available at the time. Dark brown furniture, walls, carpet and curtains. A free standing air conditioner, no wardrobe. Room smelt musty and had large window at the busy main road level hence lacked privacy. No kettle, but a coffee percolator, which was inadequate for boiling water for tea. Bathroom though small had been renovated recently; had a clean and fresh feel. Staff applied air freshener on request. Next morning we asked to be moved. A similar room overlooking the side road was available with a slightly better colour scheme and new fitted wardrobe area. Reception agreed to move us and offered to see if a kettle was available. When it wasn't, and after mentioning it again, they kindly provided one on the 3rd day. We felt more settled after that. Wifi in 2nd room was good and cleaning reasonable. Points to bear in mind. This is a basic hotel. Rooms are large, colour scheme varies from room to room but furniture is the same and outdated. Bathrooms all appear to have been renovated. Very comfortable beds with nice white linen. The hotel is quiet, reception and cleaning staff are very polite and helpful. Nearby are a Safeway supermarket, mainly Vietnamese and Chinese restaurants, pizza take aways and a laundrette. Overall we found the area to be safe with good transport links. However since hotel is not in downtown Vancouver, we consider the hotel overpriced, given rooms need updating.
This was our first time visiting this restaurant. The staff were friendly, and the overall service was excellent. However, we were mistakenly charged for an item we did not order. Unfortunately, we didn’t notice this until we were already in the car. Upon reviewing the receipt, we saw that an appetizer had been added to our bill in error. My husband returned to the restaurant to address the issue. The server was very apologetic and promptly removed the item. However, the manager or supervisor showed little concern and did not extend any goodwill gesture. A small gesture—such as waiving the cost of the appetizer we did have, or offering a complimentary item on our next visit—would have gone a long way in leaving a more positive impression.
Not only a surprising location for a great restaurant, but an unusual sharing style of their tasting menu. Really unusual dishes served and announced at the table made for a great culinary treat. Really enjoyed the variety and challenging ways in which many of the dishes were creatively put together. I think this place will become a trend setter. Great food. Thank you
We celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary with lunch for 6, arranged by our bridesmaids. We could not have asked for a better celebration of this special occasion. The food was marvellous and the service by the amazing Michael G was impeccable. Michael just made our day. He was respectful, humorous, efficient and made such a lovely fuss of us. His timing was perfect and we never felt rushed. We just felt so special. Michael was also very considerate, patient and creative with taking photos of our group, both at the table and in the courtyard, once other guests had left. Thoughtful touches acknowledging our Golden Anniversary were also greatly appreciated. Most of us tried the delicious, chilled green pea soup, several had the steak frites, I had the quiche and we were all very pleased with our choices. I had not been to Auberge du Pommier for more than a decade when I used to come for business lunches. I loved the restaurant then and I love them now. They did not disappoint. A perfect venue for a celebration with its wonderful, welcoming ambience. Parking was a slight challenge as my husband uses a walker. We parked underground then realized there was no elevator so he had to climb the stairs and leave the walker in the car. We should have checked this out beforehand. When we left, I picked him up outside the restaurant. There is no parking validation for lunch so it cost $18. There is a main floor washroom but there are a couple of steps which we'd been warned of beforehand. I don't believe there was a ramp but could be wrong. This might be an issue for wheelchair users.
Back again for another group dinner with six people. The food here is really good and our table enjoyed many dishes. The service is excellent. The only thing about this restaurant is that is is noisy with all the conversations around you so it can be difficult to her your own talking.

Was there for dinner on Friday Night March 20th, wasnt packed. Still tons of seats for customers. Took them 15 minutes just to serve us. Water. Got our food. Had few rolls, didnt come with ginger or wasabi even tho everyone else had ginger and wasabi? Unless you have to ask for it? I think its pretty normal for them to just add it to the plate. As far as service went, it was probably the worst that I had experienced in Downtown Vancouver yet. Our service was too busy occupied talking to either other customers or one of his friends which was a female. So we ended up finishing our food and waiting another 20 minutes before our server came up to our table and cleaned up. Then got our bills. He still mistakenly gave me the wrong bill, either he just wasnt fully there on shift. I also noticed a party of 6 right beside us. They had also asked the same exact waiter that we were dealing with over 3 times just for the bill. Keep forgetting or once again occupied on just chatting. Wasnt a good experience and won't be back for awhile until I do get a message from the owner from the business or some sort of compensation. Regardless of that, very unsatisfied by the lack of awareness from the staff and just honestly kinda ruined my mood right after. Wasnt a happy camper.. Other then that food was good but you're gonna be paying the usual Vancouver price as you'd expect. Pricey but food.

Thank you to Jay and the whole team for the amazing service to my family and I. He took the time to explain to us the history of the place with many details. We had a great time, will definitely come back!

Stayed for a work conference, the rooms were clean and well kept. Everything we needed was within walking distance. The only downside was that we couldn't get room service. We had to go downstairs to get coffee or food. Otherwise 10/10!

We arrived in Vancouver after staying in Whistler for a week. I was informed by a friend that North Vancouver was the best place to stay. Seaside Hotel was right in the area. I was a bit lost on how to get inside but when we figured that out it was a complete escape. The people were so friendly and helpful. They were quick at loading up our stuff to our room. Mark spent the extra time explaining the light switches, the taps and all the items the room came with. The cleaning staff the next day were all smiling and welcoming and despite the fact we said we didn’t need the bed made, they were still offering any help needed that they were there. This place is a great location and I would highly recommend
