Burned my food poor service area it so dirty better at china town Kong dog 10/10 over there never coming back here đâď¸
Came to this location and waited a couple of minutes at the register before anyone acknowledged me. That was fine, as it was around dinner time. When a gentleman finally came to help me, I told him I had two mobile orders for pick up, one of which was placed more than a half an hour ago. I was told to wait on the other end of the counter, where the food comes out after assembled. I was confused by this, given that I had a mobile order, but I complied. I waiting for 20 minutes before I noticed that people who ordered in person after me were getting their food. Turns out theyâd made my orders and just left them on the counter behind the register. They didnât call my name, they didnât check when I initially informed them I was there for pick up, and they didnât say sorry. Iâm honestly confused? If the gentleman that asked me to wait knew he hadnât taken my order in person, why in the world would they allow me to wait there without checking, AT SOME POINT, what I was waiting for. Abysmal service at this location.
Chicken was burnt and overcooked. Staff are lazy and was too busy on their phones most of the time. Place wasn't bus. The bathroom and seating areas were not cleaned properly. Items weren't stocked such as cups and utensils. This location is not like it use to be.
1st meal no fresh orange juice but they charged for fresh OJ, other meals they ran out of one item then another then another ⌠kinda hard to have breakfast without bacon . Beautiful venue and location but the food for me was a miss due to supply issues
4 stars because we only got oysters and a drink but the vintage French atmosphere is awesome!
A Chicago staple with a comfort food menu of all the city's staples. Warm, welcoming atmosphere. I went with the rigatoni with Italian sausage and vodka sauce, while my lunch companion opted for French onion soup and chilli. Perfect meal before a Chicago Symphony matinee. The personal deep dish pizza option is always a hit. Lots of nearby parking garages.
Hello Id love some under Cooked pasta with a half glass of wine!! This pretty much summed up my experience at Riccardo Trattoria. Zagat claimed âthink-youâre-in-Italyâ. Well not so much. I have been to Italia several times and the scam they have fooling people in Lincoln park seems to be working. Small portions with far from superior seafood seamed to be the norm at this establishment. Take my advice if you want authentic Italian food seek else where in Chicago, your money will be better spent.
$40 for 3 mini buttered white bread rolls filled with average lobster, wines are overpriced. nice area of sidewalk tables, very cramped bar area full of noxious sexist white guys.
Admittedly I've not been to 100 steakhouses, I have however been to many and I wouldn't put Swift & Sons up there. Yes, the service was good. Yes the burger was good. However, none of it was top rating. I was also disappointed by the atmosphere, there wasn't a buzz (though obviously that is very subjective). The house red though is very good.
My wife and I did the tasting menu in late February of this year. Two people. Once arriving at the restaurant you are ushered to a private elevator to a second-floor private function area. The tasting menu is not conducted in the normal restaurant. The first room, a large corner room with high ceilings , big windows and fun artwork and music was overlooking Clark Street. Here we enjoyed wonderful appetizers such as tortilla soup, Oysters with some spice and empanada and wine. We then were escorted to the library, another private dining area which includes a small kitchen where the chefs prepared the food before us. The dining area seated 14 total and once again social distancing was practiced. The service was perfect. The food, many courses, is is presented alone or optionally paired with wine or tequila, was simply outstanding. Not enough adjectives can be used to describe the quality , flavors and creativity and preparation. It was simply one of the top five meals My wife and I have ever enjoyed. The volume of food by the end was good as well and they were sensitive to dietary restrictions. Chef Bayless even made a surprise appearance and stopped at every table to chat and take pictures when desired. My wife and I will do this again in a heartbeat when we get back to Chicago once the menu changes. What a special night!
Outstanding!! We enjoyed delicious food, wonderful service, drinks, and dessert. American as well as German dishes (I had the Jaeger Schnitzel [awesome]). Hefeweizen and Dunkel on tap. They still serve Bergoff root beer, and it is delicious. I hadn't been here since late 1990s still the same as I remembered. All male servers and the dessert was the Yule log (enough for two) rolled cake with raspberry inside and chocolate icing...yum. highly recommend going there. Relaxed atmosphere and in a safe area in Chicago.
This is a nice place, with a nice atmosphere. It's cosy, a bit romantic even. The service was good and friendly. We had the 4 course offer, which turned out to be a good deal: a selection of starters, a nice salad (you can also choose soup), an entree and dessert. And a bottle of wine was included! So when you are in the neighbourhood, do visit this lovely restaurant and enjoy it.

Touristy, theme park style pizza. If you want Chicago deep dish pizza, donât come here. Crust isnât crispy, itâs like garlic cheese bread. We ordered the mob pizza and it was like they were trying to hide the fact that there was hardly any meat by topping it with tons of garlic and cheese. The espresso martini tasted like cold coffee and barely any vodka. Sidecar was a little better, but I wouldnât recommend cocktails here either. Overall, a big fat disappointment.

Sebastian was an excellent bartenderâfriendly, attentive, and fast. Makes great drinks and keeps the atmosphere welcoming. Highly recommend.

We were seated upstairs this time around. Itâs much quieter and no communal seating where youâre literally sitting next to other parties downstairs. The service is friendly and attentive. Marcos our server anticipated our needs, always checking in with us to see if we needed anything. The food pace was perfect, not rushed or too long of a wait for each course. We ordered through the restaurant week menu and also ordered the lamb sausage pizza. Everything was delicious and savory. The kale salad is big enough for two to share. The chorizo stuffed date wrapped in bacon was not overly spicy and savory. The paella was incredible, served hot in a mini cast iron pan so that the rice had yummy bits of crispy rice mixed in. Just wished that the shrimp was bigger. We loved the rice puddingâŚlove the salt in the pistachio bits with the sweetness of the pudding. My only beef - The restaurant was not bashful to add the 3.5% hospitality fee. Why not just raise the prices??? Will return because the food and service is good. Atmosphere kind of bland. Nothing special.

The staff were working happily together and very helpful to us. Therefore there was an excellent atmosphere. The food was superb. Best tuna tartare ever.
