Came to meet a friend for happy hour and it was truly a 5-star experience. From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted with hospitable service. I am very particular about my martinis and Carter made one of the best dirty martinis I’ve ever had, truly. I ordered food and from the pickled onions to the aioli with the fries. I was truly impressed. You’ve earned a regular for life.

A hidden gem in an area dominated by big box options. While the sign says Mediterranean, the owner is a woman of Lebanese descent slinging some of her favorite family recipes. Soulful is the word that repeatedly comes to mind when exploring the offerings of this tight menu. Fresh, flavorful, priced right, all in a clean and warm setting. Go in, talk to her, ask her what you need, listen to her tell you. You will be back. You will tell your coworkers. Go in through the Van Buren side of the building, walk past the Chase, and you’re well on your way to the best lunch you’re going to get in the area. And yes, I’m well aware of Sterling Food Hall.

Absolutely delicious! Celiac/Gluten Free friendly. I appreciate the customer service, fresh ingredients, and gluten free sauce options. The space is clean and welcoming atmosphere. Excited to go back soon!

Although a bit on the expensive side for this kind of buffet food, Beatrix is a clean, pleasant and dynamic lunch spot in downtown Chicago. The food is fresh and for the most part good (avoid the hummus, it’s gritty, none of the rich creamy quality of the original item). Pastries and coffee are particularly good. The little bar cum lunch room downstairs is also pretty nice and offers great happy hour deals. After being open on banking hours, they finally decided to extend the bar hours - good decision!

1. book or reserve in advance, likely to be busy, during Lunch hrs/Evenings and Very Busy Weekends! 2. Decor is Just about it, with a Motif of Greek panels, in the main hall 3. Very simple seating, Main hall is rather tight with tables, prefer the smaller hall connected thru 4 stairs 4. Outdoor sitting is there, but check on phone if open or Not. 5. Drinks -- Ok, nothing so special, good for a Office Lunch... ask them to have less Ice. 6. Starters :: Order the Cheese starter, they light it up before up, a small slab of Greek Cheese, but unique and nice experience. Meat ball starters, Prawns starters are good. Quantity 2 starters for 3 diners is best! Starters taste : Semi Authentic Greek, Mild to Medium spicy, more authentic available in Chicago..... 7. Entrees: All are good, experience them over a few visits. Cooked generally Mild to Medium. Quantity : above average, better to have 2 for 3 diners, else you will need ToGo packs. 8. Service /Cleanliness : IN spite of packed restaurant, Service is FAst, and with courtesy ( the wait time for the 1st service visit is very less compared to other restaurant's in Fulton Area. After order preparation time:: Quite fast ( to me it looked like , the similar dishes are ordered, and may be the Kitchen prepares the basic or core items in bulk) 9. Not a place to while your time, more or less, Diners around you will be leaving table in about an hour.

Authentic Italian food. Excellent bartender. First time I had a Dirty Martini with an Anchovy stuffed Olive ... Tasty! Excellent food. We'll priced and professional staff. What more can you want. Thanks again to the bartender and his private stash of Olives!

Awful! We waited 50 mins to only go in and order and have to wait another hour. They gave us a menu to order but maybe the girl didn’t explain clearly we thought it was take out but it was to cut the time. Then when our table was ready we had to wait on a line in the hallway the. To get to our table and wait 10 mins for them to clean it. The food finally came and not worth the wait at all would never ever go there again or recommend

$15 for full Indian buffet in downtown Chicago in a very clean looking place is unbeatable! Food was good with naan to the table. Chicken tikka and gulab jamun on point. The rest of the food was average but overall great place for curry people and Indian food lovers.

A French standby in the Sofitel. Nicely presented and well flavored food. Had a very good duck breast. Service is excellent - professional and discreet. Nice wines by the glass. Cheese program balances local versus French imports - so nice choices. Good place for quiet business meal in very clean contemporary space.

Everything about this place was okay. The name, the look of the place (at first), and the menu suggested an above average meal. But, after ordering and receiving our meal, it was all kind of lackluster and there was no love put into the food. I ordered Croque Madame which could have been a beautiful dish but, in reality, it was served simply as open-face ham sandwich with an egg on top and a side of fries. It looked a bit sloppily served. My wife had mushroom toast which was unseasoned and meh. She ordered a side of bacon and was served a bowl of curled up bacon. In fact, when served, the server put it on the table and stated ..."and a bowl of bacon". We ordered coffee with our breakfast and it was served lukewarm from an open thermos pot...you could see coffee grounds all over the rim of the pot being poured into my cup. The place had 75% of their tables open when we arrived but they made us wait anyway while the hostess cleaned other tables than the one we were actually seated at. I don't know if they were short-staffed or what was going on. It was strange. The place had some good bones and was pretty but is a bit tired and in need of cleanup in areas and had a strange lack of identity. There was a foosball table next to the bar of this Bistro which was way out of place.

One of the most disappointing dinners I have had in a long time. My wife had reservations but we had to while others were seated before us. This was a special occasion. Not only 5 days before Christmas but a personal event. My wife was dressed in a beautiful red dress and was wearing very nice jewelry. I had on a suit a tie. To start winter in Chicago have a coat check room. We had to go find it. It is an embarrassment that the first thing is that no one cared enough to welcome us into the restaurant. The hostess was so rude I wanted to leave. She should never work in the restaurant industry again. Her attitude was disrespectful towards us. She sat us in the bar. We are celebrating fully dressed up with theater tickets and she put us in the bar. We did not want to listen to “Bear down Chicago Bears” an “ Go Pack go”. On the jumbo screen tv was TCU football. Coming on know your audience. The waiter did not know what a wine list was so he was useless. My wife order red wine. He brought champagne. Ok red wine is the one that is red!!! Steak and sea food for me. Three shrimp and a very very small steak. There was some green stuff on the plate. Could have been spinach or sea weed. My wife had to order a burger because that was the only thing that sounded good. The waiter kept knocking into my wife. He even spilled her purse at one point. Did not even bother to help. I went to use the men’s restroom before we left. No impressed with framed the soft core PORN pictures in the restroom. Way over priced, horrible service, bad attitude, loud and their advertising on the web is a LIE. Don’t ever go there. It is not business casual. It was jeans and sports shirts. This place was horrible. DO NOT GO THERE!1111

We stopped here for one of the best lunches ever. It was restaurant week so some specials were offered at unbelievably reasonable prices. No mater what you order, it will be plated and presented perfectly. A nice wine list, too, which we were able to take advantage of thanks to the absurdly low food prices. I swear I could pitch a tent in this place and live there forever. They'd shoo me out of cpyrse, but it's a neat dream! If you fail to eat here, shame on you!
